Lupe Fiasco New Freestyle “Teach A Man To Fish”

Lupe Fiasco Dropped a New Freestyle

On August 2nd, Lupe Fiasco dropped new freestyle, “Teach A Man To Fish.” The rapper posted the track on YouTube. In the song, Lupe uses fish metaphors (“I’d like to thank my mama for making that tank of piranhas that y’all know as Lu”). He also self-represents and talks about his life pathway (“I think I used to stink like the street behind the zoo then it all started to sink like a leak inside a cruise”).

The fresh track is a part of a new freestyle series by Lupe. His “Repo Pe” and “SBA Lu” freestyles came out just five days before “Teach A Man To Fish.” Unlike the newer track, “Repo Pe” is a self-reflection on Lupe’s inner and outer conflicts. “SBA Lu” goes on a story about Lupe’s life pathway and it’s ups and downs.

On July 22nd, Lupe’s track “Steve Jobs: SLR 3 1/2” came out. It’s not a freestyle but a full six-minute song that has it all: introspection, conflict, and life stories. Moreover, Lupe talks about the world’s crises and challenges, sometimes using his own experience as an example. Production from Soundtrakk lays the groundwork for the song’s eclectic soundscape.

“Steve Jobs: SLR 3 1/2″ is also a diss on Royce da 5’9”. You can read more about it here.
