Tensions seem to be rising between Kanye West and Pete Davidson after a leaked song confirmed the rapper’s hard feelings against the King of Staten Island star.
Pete taking precaution
Last week(Jan. 14), a collaboration between Kanye West and The Game leaked on social media. The song, titled ‘My Life Was Never Easy’ quickly led to gossip between fans and non-fans alike with one controversial line.

Listeners were quick to connect the dots. Davidson has been dating Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian since October last year. The pair started off with a bang, sharing an on-screen kiss on Saturday Night Live only eight months after Kim filed for divorce. Since then, Kim and Pete have started an exclusive relationship with a source reporting to E Online, “They are really happy and seeing where it goes.”
With the new couple being so public amid a messy divorce between Kim and Kanye, it appears Pete is taking Kanye’s threat seriously.
A source reported to Radar Online yesterday (Jan. 17) that Pete didn’t take the leaked line lightly.
“Pete isn’t worried about Kanye, but he is concerned about the massive fanbase that Kanye has. His devoted followers listen to his songs and act upon them. That’s why Pete is now using security,” the source said.
While the increased security is a first, Davidson is all too familiar with high-profile relationships. In May 2018 he began a tumultuous affair with Ariana Grande, nearly marrying the global pop star before breaking it off later that same year. He quickly began a relationship with English model/actress Kate Beckinsale, followed by Margaret Qualley, and Kaia Gerber all within the year 2019.
The source further explained Pete’s recent decision to protect himself, “Until recently Pete never had security with him when he was out and about, even when he was engaged to Ariana Grande. But dating Kim Kardashian is a totally different level of fame. Pete is now a superstar, which comes with a price. As much as he still wants to be low-key and hang with his friends, the reality of his situation has changed.”
Kanye asserts himself
It hasn’t been confirmed if Pete attended Chicago West’s 4th birthday party this past weekend(Jan. 15). The birthday bash had a dramatic series of events with Kanye hopping on Instagram live, alleging he’s being kept from his children. Soon after, he was pictured celebrating with his daughter and having a great time.

According to Kanye, it was Travis that gave him the location. “I just got to shout out to Travis Scott for sending me the address and the time and making sure that I was able to spend that birthday memory with my daughter to be there with the rest of the family.”
With Kanye and Kim both in new relationships, and the divorce still pending, it seems they have a messy 2022 ahead of them. Nonetheless, Pete is prepared for the worst.
