Five months after their messy public break-up, it appears that Saweetie and Quavo are spending some time together. The rumors have been circulating for a while now, with most not taking it seriously. However, whatever they are doing back together, they’re doing it “quietly” in New York City, reports Hollywood Life.
A rocky relationship
Saweetie and Quavo have a history. No one would look at their past together and think, “Hey, that’s normal.” For example, their elevator fight. Back in 2020, the couple, then together, got into a physical altercation in an elevator at a North Hollywood apartment complex. Both sides regretted the incident, but it was far from the only drama between them.
Case in point, Quavo confirmed that he took Saweetie’s extra-special birthday present back from her. Her present? An icy white Bentley, which he had repossessed. What’s more, he confirmed it in interviews and alluded to the deed in the Migos song “Have Our Way.”
For her part, Saweetie responded with her own diss track, “See Saw” in which she absolutely eviscerates Quavo. Allegations of cheating, lies, and more swirled during and after the messy relationship.
Twitter reacts to Saweetie and Quavo
Naturally, Twitter erupted at the news. The responses varied greatly. Some blamed Quavo for being weak and going back to Saweetie, as per the Hollywood Life source. Others expressed and anger shock at Saweetie for reconciling with her ex. Still, others drew parallels between Quavo and Migos group-mate Offset in getting back together with an ex. There was praise for Quavo, praise for Saweetie, and criticism for both. One user even pointed out how rapper Jack Harlow must be feeling after his flirty exchange with Saweetie at BET Awards 2021.
