Singer and Reality TV Star Ray J Has Been Hospitalized With Pneumonia
It has been reported that singer/TV personality/entrepreneur Ray J, has been hospitalized in Miami, where he’s being treated for pneumonia. Under the assumption that he had COVID-19, doctors placed him in the COVID wing. However, the pneumonia that he is battling is not Covid related. According to Ray J’s manager David Weintraub, Ray J was admitted into the hospital 4 days ago. The singer explained his experience to be frightening. “I thought it was over. I started praying, and knew God is good, so I just kept praying.”
Not Out Of The Woods Yet
Ray J is not out of the woods yet. He still struggles to breathe, and has difficulty speaking. He is currently receiving oxygen. His manager was able to get him on a call with TMZ. He shared with them that when he wakes up at 6 am, he feels as though he could go home, but by 6:30, things deteriorate, causing him to fear the worst.
If I Had One Wish
Although Ray J at first thought that he was going to die, he says that all he thinks about now is getting better. So far, he’s been given 5 COVID tests, all of which came back negative. He has since been moved from the COVID wing. Ray J can’t wait to see his kids, and is hoping to be out of the hospital by the end of the week. He also asking that people pray for him.

Ray J is known for a number of things. One of them is being the little brother of multi-platinum, Grammy winning singer/actress Brandy. He starred in her hit television sitcom “Moesha”, where he played the role of “Dorian.” Dorian was the son that Moesha’s father conceived outside of his marriage to Moesha’s mother. Brandy and Ray J also starred in a a reality show together called “Brandy and Ray: A Family Business.” Ray J recently got his sister’s name tatted on his arm, which she posted to her Instagram page.

Ray J’s Tumultuous Relationship With Wife Princess Love

Ray J is also known for his tumultuous relationship with his wife, 37 year old model/fashion designer, Princess Love. The two had begun dating in 2013, and married in 2016. The couple, just like every other couple, has had their ups and downs, but unfortunately, their rocky moments have been captured on film for the world to see. Ray J and Love were cast members on VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.” It was there where we saw Love being pushed into a pool by Ray J, after she’d thrown her drink and food at him after a quarrel.
Ray J was recently back in the media after taking to Instagram to declare himself a single man. After wiping his page clean, he stated in his bio that his marriage to love had ended. However, that was not the first time that Ray J had spoken about his marriage being over. In 2020, Loved filed for a divorce from Ray J, but asked the courts to dismiss the filing two months later. Then four months later, Ray J filed for a divorce from Love.
Reconciliation?
In January 2021, it was thought that the two had reconciled after Love posted a sweet message to Ray J via Instagram for his 40th birthday. Also in February, Ray J had told E! News that he and Love were in a “peaceful place.” He credited that to Miami, where the couple had moved to months ago. “I think Miami brings a different vibe to who you are, and what opportunities are out there for the family, and just watching the kids learn new things and grow up.”We don’t know exactly what happened between then and now, but hopefully Love and Ray J will work it out. May he have a speedy recovery.
