Kendrick Lamar Addresses Clip Of Security Guard Crying During His Performance

Kendrick Lamar’s spent over a decade providing the world with music that reaches beyond surface-level enjoyment. Recently, a video surfaced of a security guard at Kendrick’s recent concert in Houston crying during his performance of the Zacari-assisted song “LOVE.

In a chat with the young upcoming interviewer on Jazzy’s World TV this past Sunday (July 24), the Compton superstar gave his reaction to the viral clip. “It’s really just about the feeling of it at the end of the day. Past all the politics, past all the numbers. It’s what music makes you feel, how it makes you feel,” Lamar stated before adding, “And shout-out to him by the way because I seen him, bro. I was like, man, I wonder what he going through?” Take a look at this fun interview clip below:

More About Kendrick Lamar’s Hit Record

“LOVE.” is one of the standouts from Lamar’s classic 14-track album “DAMN” from 2017. As a Kendrick fan myself, it’s not surprising to see this song (or any of his work) touch someone this emotionally. The song features the talented Zacari, a singer from Kendrick’s previous label Top Dawg Entertainment. It’s not only one of the biggest songs from “DAMN” but also one of the biggest in his entire discography. It’s an incredible track that features a thoughtful performance from Kendrick & a smooth chorus from Zacari.

His Rolling Loud Performance On Sunday

Kendrick Lamar headlined Rolling Loud Miami this past Sunday and did this interview with Jazzy’s World TV at the event. Additionally, he also brought out Kodak Black to perform their recent collaboration “Silent Hill.” It’s currently one of the biggest songs from Lamar’s most recent album & is easily a fan favorite. Kendrick Lamar’s New Nickname? Upcoming Album Announced

Kendrick Lamar broke his massive hiatus to announce his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers will drop in May. The digital press release was shared out through his pgLang company & “oklama” website reveals the album’s May 13th release date. Additionally, the website states, “All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only.” It’s safe to say that fans should keep a close eye on pgLang for the upcoming rollout of Kendrick Lamar’s new album. He easily shook up the Hip-Hop world on Twitter with the new announcement after quoting a tweet from a fan jokingly alleging that Kendrick retired:

What Is ‘Oklama’ & Its Importance?

Many are still unsure of what Kendrick Lamar’s pgLang company actually is in its entirety. The announcement of the TDE Hip-Hop veteran’s album was made public on a webpage named “oklama”. Like many of Kendrick’s moves, this new name/entity seems very relevant to the new album. Personally, I suspect that it’s gonna be his new persona for this specific album. Other all-time greats such as Kanye West or Eminem tend to form different characters to embody for each release.

Kendrick Lamar Is On Top Of The World

Again, the rapper’s been trending online since the news broke. It’ll be exciting to see what kind of music we’ll get from Lamar after waiting almost 5 years. His last album DAMN. was a massive success that even earned the California artist a Pulitzer Prize. Now we see Kendrick perform on huge stages like the Super Bowl or developing pgLang’s new talent Tanna Leone:

ScHoolboy Q Jokingly Tells Kendrick Lamar to Drop New Music

ScHoolboy Q is reminding Kendrick what fans want

It’s no secret that ScHoolboy Q on Twitter is pure entertainment. Similarly, it’s no secret that fans are sick and tired of waiting for Kendrick Lamar’s next album.

So, with the duo being buddies/labelmates, it’s not uncommon for fans to invade Q’s Twitter replies pleading for help.

Yesterday, he innocently tweeted “I feel good today.” The tweet was quickly met with a fan responding, “Tell Kendrick to drop then.” In good spirits, Q obliged.

Will it actually help?

Since Kendrick Lamar hasn’t dropped a studio album since 2017’s DAMN., fans are getting desperate. Even LeBron James has been putting in work on social media to convince Lamar to return to the scene with new music.

ScHoolboy Q

ScHoolboy Q’s Twitter feed is mostly for laughs, but fans will naturally be hopeful that his tweet could make something happen.

Aside from dealing with his friend’s music, Q also noted that he will be dropping more music. Hopefully the wait for his music isn’t quite as brutal as the wait for Lamar’s.

Whenever either of the two Black Hippy members finally decide to drop, we’ll keep you posted.

Kendrick Lamar possible album on the way- Top Dawg boss teases release

“THE WAIT IS OVAH!!!”

Fans are speculating that a new Kendrick Lamar album could be in the works following a post from Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith.

In a cryptic post, shared on social media this past Wednesday, it wrote “THE WAIT IS OVAH!!!” along with a teaser video of a ‘loading’ bar. At the end of the clip, the date May 7 2021 appeared.

Kendrick Lamar’s Award-winning album DAMN was released over four years ago, and fans have been anxiously awaiting a follow-up album ever since. Although there have been hints that Lamar has been working on his next project, the team hasn’t said a word about a release date for his specifically.

Twitter was split between those who were hopeful about the possible release and some who did not want to get their hopes too high. It didn’t take long for people to start expressing their excitement about the announcement.

Lamar was due to headline Glastonbury this year, giving even more reason to believe he might have a new album to be released in summer.

However, SZA’s fans are also hoping that she is the artist that has a new album on the way.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan earlier this year, she said that the follow-up to her 2017 album Ctrl would be out this year.

“This album is going to be the s*** that made me feel something in my (heart and gut),” she said.

“That’s what’s going to go on the album. I’m making all different types of s*** every day from different places in my spirit.”

Whichever artist drops a project, it’s sure to be a hit. Stay tuned to see what TDE has in store.

Kendrick Lamar Signs Global Admin Deal With UMPG

Kendrick Lamar Signs Global Admin Deal With UMPG

Kendrick Lamar has signed an exclusive global administration deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.

In a report from Music Business Worldwide, Jody Gerson, UMPG’s Chairman and CEO, states that “Kendrick Lamar is not only one of the greatest lyricists that has ever lived, but he has done as much or more than any artists to promote much needed change in our society through music.”

Gerson continues by saying that herself and her “colleagues at UMPG are deeply honored to be afforded the opportunity to join Kendrick, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and the TDE family to help forward his unique and important vision.”

The 13-time Grammy Award-winning rapper, songwriter and producer continues to have a legendary career.

Lamar has raised the bar with the release of multiple No.1 records and albums including Damn, Untitled Unmastered, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, To Pimp a Butterfly and the soundtrack, Black Panther: The Album.

With all of Lamar’s accolades, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his album, Damn. This Pulitzer made Lamar the first non-classical and non-jazz artist to receive it.

Generally, “an administration deal marks a partnership between a songwriter and a publishing administrator, meaning the songwriter retains ownership of the copyright”, according to Complex.

UMPG current roster includes several artists like Justin Bieber, SZA, Imagine Dragons, Nicki Minaj, Billie Eilish, Justin Timberlake, Post Malone, etc.
