“Lord Knows Pt. 2” By Drake? Just Blaze Says So

Just Blaze asked Drake just one question about “Lord Knows” on Instagram. However, it made a ton of noise and ended up on the Hip-Hop news websites.

Understandably so, since Drake’s fans now get a chance to relive some memories. “Lord Knows,” a track from the 2011 Grammy-nominated “Take Care” album, might have a new part coming out.

The song’s producer, Just Blaze, posted on IG. “Wow, @champagnepapi went back!” the producer captioned in the story. “Sooo..Can we put out ‘Lord Knows Pt. 2’ now? Sponsored by the good folks at @lrgclothing.”

Neither Drake nor featuring Rick Ross have yet commented on the possibility of “Lord Knows Pt.2.” However, the song’s producer dropping IG stories like that still certainly means something.

The “Lord Knows” Album

“Take Care” is Drake’s album which made him famous worldwide, making people sing his lyrics in all clubs from LA to Eastern Europe. Some of the artist’s most famous songs, like “Headlines” or “The Motto,” also appeared on the record.

It makes total sense why Drake got a grammy for “Take Care.” The artist didn’t just bring the fresh half-Rap-half-R’n’B sound in Hip-Hop. He also showed how a Hip-Hop artist can be sensitive without, let’s say, Ye’s eccentricity. Songs about romantic love, as well as warm feelings towards your “broskis,” took a central place in Drake’s art.

War & Peace

Speaking of Drake and Ye, the two veterans of North American Hip-Hop came to piece not that long ago. The conflict, which launched in 2007, lasted for more than a decade. Multiple disses got released, even Pusha T participated.

However, the two industry giants are now friends. This is also Larry Hoover’s accomplishment; Drake only agreed to be friends with Ye again if they can both perform at the “Free Larry Hoover” event.

It’s unclear whether now the two are friends or not. We will keep you posted and report on any updates in the artists’ relationship.

Kanye West Touches on Larry Hoover’s Role in Bringing Him and Drake together during Future Brunch Event

Kanye West recently shared the full clip from his Future Brunch event, where he also shared on him coming to peace with Drake. He touched on Larry Hoover’s story among Black journalists from various magazines such as The New York Times. Other invites were media executives from the industry. Notable speakers at the event, named “Black Future Month,” include Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked.

Jason Lee recently interviewed Ye back in January, where they discussed issues such as Kanye’s pending divorce and his soon-to-be ex-wife Kim’s new boyfriend. Kanye West touched on several topics, most notably on his beef with Drake. He revealed that Larry Hoover had played a significant role in bringing back the love between the two rappers.

Quick Recap of The Kanye West and Drake Beef

The ‘Kanye – Drake’ beef first debuted back in 2007. It would also span the course of fifteen years with both rappers taking shots at each other in songs. Things reached fever pitch in 2011 when Drake took a shot at both Kanye West and Jay-Z during the making of their ‘Watch The Throne’ album.

Kanye West posted a picture of him with Drake late last year, signaling the end of the year’s-long rivalry. Sources say Drake was convinced to squash the beef after being filled in on the upcoming ‘Free Larry Hoover’ concert.

What’s more, Kanye reported that Larry Hoover himself made the Colorado Prison, serving six life sentences. His crimes include conspiracy and extortion.

“Larry Hoover brought me and Drake together. That man created peace. Larry Hoover called that from the prison, and everybody was happy,” Kanye went on to add, “When people see me and Drake pull up to a basketball game with both of our sons, that’s gonna save people’s lives in the hood.”

Drake Saw “The Bigger Picture” And Squashed Beef With Ye

A house divided cannot stand. And if that house is putting on a massive, show-stopping performance soon, that house better be properly made-up. Safe to say that Drake and Ye have their houses in order. The long-standing beef was quashed back in November. No more below-the-belts, no more ear biting.

Both superstars prepped and ready to go for Thursday (December 9) night’s mega-show, the Free Larry Hoover benefit show at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The event promises to be “a historical show and enlightening concert,” so says CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, J. Prince. Considering that construction for the event has taken at least five days, it’s gearing up to a monster of a production. Even the ticket drama is ironed out.

All the better that the “Way 2 Sexy” rapper and the “Hurricane” rapper are at this point.

Prince and “The Bigger Picture”

While Drake and Ye have buried the hatchet, it was not without a moment of dramatics. Ye met Drake at his Toronto estate in November to finally end the feud. Bringing Drake to this point was none other than the “Houston boss,” J. Prince. As Prince also puts it to Billboard:

“I painted the bigger picture to Drake. I let him know that this is a moment and movement that can save lives…by Drake and Kanye being an example, as two of hip-hop’s top artists, that lives would be saved.”

Prince continued delving into the benefit show for Larry Hoover: “I believe this is going to be imitated and it’s important to be an example to those that look up to you, and that meant something to Drake — just the life-saving event wrapped around putting the spotlight on injustice, prison reform, and my brother Larry Hoover…So I had to tap into a power greater than the anger or whatever these guys had for one another.”

Ye vs. Drake vs. Ye vs. Drizzy vs. Yeezus vs. Champagne Papi

The long and storied beef of Ye and Mr. Graham covers a lot of ground. Diss tracks landing on the head of the other, then retaliation. Travis Scott and Pusha T are joining the fray, Drake leaking Ye’s new song just to have Ye leak his address. Drake is rapping to Kim Kardashian, then Ye taking and firing shots on Drink Champs. It’s all in the past.

The Free Larry Hoover Benefit concert will begin at 11 p.m. ET on Thursday night. It will stream for free on Amazon Prime Video and Twitch.

Ye and Drake’s LA Concert Stage Construction Has Begun

Stage construction for Ye and Drake’s much anticipated upcoming Free Larry Hoover Concert has already started. Aerial footage of the stage was captured by CBS Los Angeles on Sunday, December 5. Reporter John Schreiber tweeted video footage of the construction and joked about the setup, saying “At first, [I] thought this was a monster truck rally setup.” It is in the very early stages and seems to have a dome-shaped design that takes up half of the field. It looks similar to the stage layout Ye had for his Donda event in Chicago earlier this year. See the footage below.

The concert will take place this Thursday, December 9 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, Calif. Tickets are still available for fans to purchase on Ticketmaster.

Ticket Prices Have Gone Down

Fans are not upset at the fact that tickets for the concert are now half of what they initially paid when they went on sale. When the show was announced, tickets disappointingly started at $200 plus fees. As of today (December 6), tickets are now starting at $50, plus fees. Fans have tweeted their frustrations regarding this, hoping for a difference of what it cost them or to be upgraded.

As per Ticketmaster’s guidelines, the best option is to pay for another seat that is greater or equal value to the originally priced ticket. Afterwards, Ticketmaster will email them about the new ticket and then refund the original ticket purchased.

Larry Hoover Jr. Speaks Out

Larry Hoover’s son recently spoke about the benefit concert. In an interview with “The Murder Master Music Show,” Hoover Jr. said, “We gotta let the powers that be know that we want Larry Hoover in our community.” He continued to say “That’s gonna be a big way to do it. Plus we want to show people of other communities that we can come together in peace.”  Ye was going to do the show on his own, but ended up requesting Drake to join him.

Ye and Drake Squash Beef

According to HipHopDX, Ye and Drizzy ended their feud in November after meeting up at Drake’s Toronto mansion. The meet-up was done by Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince. Shortly after, Ye performed Drake’s “God’s Plan” as a part of his Sunday Service.

Ye’s Sunday Service Choir Performed Drake’s “God’s Plan”

After Ye and Drake reconciled, his choir performed a “God’s Plan” rendition at his Sunday Service. They also sang tracks from DONDA, but in a gospel fashion. Not to mention their fits, which resembles an oversized black jumpsuit.

In “God’s Plan,” the choir seemingly changes the lyrics to focus on Him and his grace. You can watch the performance below:

Word has it that Ye and Drake are performing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The tickets for the “Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert” will be available on November 9th. The concert’s purpose is to raise awareness and support for Hoover, a gang member who co-founded Chicago’s Gangster Disciples. Hoover is serving six years in prison for murder, conspiracy, and other crimes.

“I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride aside and come together,” Ye says in a statement.

The concert is Drake’s first performance since his appearance at the Astroworld Festival.

Drake and Ye have been feuding for 12 years. However, they finally made up after attending an event with J Prince

Ye

In 2018, the two successful rappers ended their friendship. Unfortunately, it got worse after both respectfully dropped diss tracks. Drake was enraged because West told his nemesis Pusha T about Drake’s son. The beef even carried on this year.

Drake spoke on their feud. Moreover, West shared Drake’s actual address on social media with “7am on Bridle Path.” Thus creating a lot of friction between the two. But, those days are long over. I’m excited to see what blooms from their newfound partnership.

Kanye West & Drake Fans Disappointed At “Free Larry Hoover” Ticket Prices

Kanye West and Drake fans were beside themselves upon learning about ticket prices to the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert. A number of fans were under the impression the concert would be free of charge. However, this did not turn out to be the case.

Kaye West and Drake release concert tickets at a very expensive price.

The concert isn’t actually free, it’s to free Larry Hoover

According to HotNewHipHop, most of the tickets cost between $200 and $500. Many fans felt ripped off upon opening the purchase link, which had over 2,000 current users trying to check out.

“Wait so the drake kanye concert isn’t free?” asked one confused fan on Twitter. Another fan tweeted, “I thought they said the Kanye and Drake concert was free, but the word ‘free’ was part of the statement ‘Free Larry Hoover’ and the tickets are actually expensive.” One even joked, “$250 each for Kanye and Drake tickets??? Larry Hoover can stay in jail sorry fam.”

Although the concert was never intended to be free, fans seem to understand that they’ve misread the announcement.  Despite the tickets costing upwards of $500, it seems that West and Drake will still be performing for a sold-out crowd.

Drake and Ye, two of the world’s biggest artists, have effectively ended their longstanding beef to come together for the Hoover show. After 12 years of ongoing beef, Kanye West and drake have finally decided to put their differences behind them. This will be the first time the rappers will be hitting the stage together as fans seem to be excited for the two.

Ye Sits With Larry Hoover In Second Part Of His Drink Champs Episode

In the second part of Ye’s ‘Drink Champs‘ edition, he sat down with Larry Hoover to discuss Hoover’s experience of never seeing his father outside of prison. Ye also described his bipolar disorder while comparing other music artists to “cows” and himself to Vladimir Putin.

Larry Hoover on ‘Drink Champs’

“They told me when I graduate eighth grade, he would be home. Then they told me when I graduate from high school, he would be home. I went away to Morris Brown, I graduated, and he still ain’t home. Now I’m an adult, and my daughter went away to college and graduated. He still not home. Now even more than that, my son, he graduated eighth grade, and we still waitin’.”

Above is the part of Larry Hoover Jr.’s verse on Donda’s song ‘Jesus Lord.’ Hoover Jr. also shared his experiences of not contacting his father almost for his entire life. Hoover is 47 years old now. He has never seen his father, Larry Hoover, outside the maximum-security prison walls.

Hoover also thanked Ye for the effort to help his family. “It’s all because of Kanye… to give me the platform to speak on my father,” Hoover claimed.

Ye’s Mental Health

Ye also discussed his mental health issues. The rapper brought up various obstacles for his bipolar syndrome. He talked about medication, dealing with anger, and searching for routine adjustments to better the mental state.

Ye also listed various controversial things he committed. He then described them as examples of situations where people try to degrade Ye by saying, “you’re crazy.” However…

“I could do all these things… and I’m a tell you like this, for Britney Spears for anybody… okay, ‘I’m crazy, but what ya’ll gonna do about it?'”

“Cows” Musicians vs “Vladimir Putin” Ye

While bringing up serious issues, Ye also went to compare other musicians to “cows.” Just like the farm animals, the artists are marching towards the music industry slaughter. At least, according to Ye.

While “cows” march, Ye..leads? The rapper somehow managed to compare himself to Vladimir Putin. “I’m like Young Putin,” Kanye said, “I used to say I was Young Vladimir until I realized I was Vladimir. You know the moment when I realized it was? When I realized culture is an oil, culture is energy. And I’m the king of culture, for the past 20 and the next 2,000 years.”

Kremlin’s private media conglomerate, which might as well be a boot cleaning service, already noted Kanye’s words. They complimented the rapper, and claimed that Ye “praised” the Russian president, apparently.

The Champagne Papi – Ye Beef

The beef between the two started back in 2009 after Drake called Kanye “the most influential person on his sound”.  After Kanye cut Drake’s sample verse from the studio version of ‘All of the Lights’, the two have been butting heads.

While Kanye Drake have been at it for over a decade, the two most recently came for each other this summer during the releasing of their albums, Donda and Certified Lover Boy, after Ye leaked Drake’s address.
