Lil Gotit Suspects Someone Is Trying To Break Into Lil Keed’s Grave

According to Lil Gotit, rapper & blood brother of Lil Keed, there’s someone that’s been trying to break into Keed’s grave. The young Atlanta prodigy passed away earlier this year (May 13) due to organ failure. This news came only days after his labelmates on Young Stoner Life Records (YSL) received RICO charges for multiple Atlanta crimes. Overall, May was a rough month for both YSL fans & the city of Atlanta, GA as a whole. While we wait for the fate of the successful label started by Young Thug, Keed’s story will never be forgotten. It’s a shame that haters or opposition would try entering his gravesite without permission for reasons likely to be negative.

Lil Gotit’s Response To The Unwanted Guests

Lil Gotit is very vocal about his displeasure with the grave intruders. This is quite understandable as no one wants to see their deceased sibling’s resting place disturbed or vandalized. On his Instagram story yesterday (September 8th) Gotit wrote, “Whoever going to Keed grave tryna unscrew him out the wall and stuff, when I catch [you] it ain’t gone be nan nice, so I hope [you] see this message!!!!!” This warning may or may not stop the infiltrator, but will at least set the tone right. We wish that Lil Keed & his spirit rest peacefully in his Atlanta gravesite.

The Future Of YSL After Keed Death & Rico Case

As mentioned above, Lil Keed’s unfortunate death came right after YSL got served RICO charges back in May. Label owner Young Thug & premiere artist Gunna are sitting in federal custody awaiting their trial date to attempt beating these catastrophic charges. Ideally, Lil Keed would’ve had to be the one to hold the label down since he didn’t get imprisoned with his peers. Do you think Lil Keed could’ve carried the label if still alive? And will YSL have a future after this RICO case comes to a conclusion in the next few months?

Young Thug Crowned ‘Coach of the Year’

Young Thug takes the title of ‘Coach of the Year’ by Spotify’s “most influential” HipHop playlist, RapCaviar. All of this while the rapper is currently incarcerated and fighting federal indictment. RapCaviar announced on Wednesday (June 22) the finalist of their third annual All-RapCaviar team.

An Instagram post featuring Young Thug’s own digital avatar, RapCaviar explained why they gave such an honor to the rapper. RapCaviar goes on to call the Atlanta native an icon and the catalyst behind many major artists.

“Young Thug is a musical icon,” wrote RapCaviar. “He founded Young Stoner Life Records, helped jumpstart the careers of artists like Gunna and Lil Baby, and has mentioned Atlanta rappers like Lil Keed and Lil Gotit. That’s why we’re naming him our 2022 #AllRapCaviar Coach of the Year.”

First-team selections included names like Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Kanye West, Jack Harlow, Gunna, Future, and Doja Cat, but despite heavy names, Young Thug won one of the highest honors when he was crowned Coach of the Year for 2022.

Bittersweet moment for Young Thug and others at YSL

Truly, this is an amazing accomplishment for the YSL label but comes at a very difficult time for many involved. Thugger, Gunna, and 26 of the crew’s associate heads are currently facing racketeering charges. Additionally, Young Thug himself is facing ‘Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization’ charges, better known as RICO charges. Also the unfortunate death of YSL rapper Lil Keed, who unexpectedly passed away due to health problems at the age of 24.

Despite this, the award highlights the work and dedication that Young Thug, his crew, and the YSL label have done. Work that helped make the “Slime Language 2” compilation debut at the No.1 on the Billboard 200. That compilation album also helped Gunna’s “DS4Ever” album beat out The Weekend for the top spot on the chart.

Lil Keed Passed Away From Lean

Lil Keed passed away over the weekend at the young age of 24. The cause of death turned out to be lean.

Keed was an Atlanta-based rapper who got his start in 2016. He was still on the rise of his career when he died. The last two known songs he was in were “Hey!” with Lil Gnarl and “Get N Dere Gang” with Lil Gotit and Yak Gotti.

The rapper’s death was confirmed by multiple people from YSL, including his real-life brother, Lil Gotit. He revealed it through his Instagram.

“Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.”

According to TMZ, Keed was having stomach pains in the days leading to his death. When he checked into the hospital, the doctor told him that his kidney and liver were failing. While he has been fighting his addiction to most drugs and alcohol, one of them slipped through the cracks.

How Did Lil Keed Die?

Keed was very close to Young Thug. He must have overdosed due to Thug’s being arrested on RICO charges.

Lean is a drug mix of cough syrup, hard candy, and soda. It has a euphoric effect that helps with relaxation, which Keed probably needed after that week. It can lead to liver damage if taken over time, as well as if taken too much.

Lil Keed may have died before his time, but we can still remember him through the released songs and interviews. They give insight into who he was as a person trying to make his way through the world into being someone. He might not have lived long, but he shone brightly with what we did get.

Rapper Lil Keed dead at 24 Years Old

YSL rapper Lil Keed has died of unknown circumstances. This father, friend, pioneer, and creative will be missed.

Breaking The Hard News

In the early hours of May 14, news of Atlanta artist Lil Keed’s death began circulating on social media. The rumors were firstly confirmed by Keed’s brother Lil Gotit via Instagram. Keed, formally known as Raqhid Jevon Render, was only 24 when he tragically passed away.

At this time, there’s been no confirmation on the cause of death.

“Can’t believe I seened u die today bro,” Lil Gotit also typed in a somber caption. “I did all my cries I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy #ImaHoldthisShitDown.”

In addition to the RIP post, Gotit also added a photo to his story with a downcast caption. “@lilkeed Whyyy bra whyyy u leave me bra,” he typed along with several tearful emojis.

Lil Keed first rose to fame in 2018 with his Billboard Hip Hop/R&B hit “Nameless.” However, he was also heavily involved in the Atlanta rap takeover before then. Keed and Lil Gotit would post their music online in 2017, which then slowly gained local traction. Mixtapes like “Slime Avenue” helped Keed develop a presence in the trap genre. In 2018, the 20-year-old was signed to Young Thug’s label YSL Records and 300 Entertainment. The following year would bring great success for the young rapper. In 2019 Keed released his debut album “Long Live Mexico.” The record climbed to #26 on the US Billboard 200 and #11 on the top RnB/HipHop albums chart.

Keed’s unique style and flow significantly contributed to today’s signature Atlanta style.

“My goal and my intentions for my future? I wanna be a megastar. I don’t wanna be no superstar, I wanna be a megastar.”

-Lil Keed, XXL Freshman Interview, 2020
