Lil Yachty Launches Frozen Pizza Line

Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Yachty announced the launch of his new frozen pizza line Tuesday. The brand, named Yachty’s Pizzeria, will sell frozen pizzas exclusively from Walmart stores across the nation.

Lil Yachty’s pizza line is the first from Deep Cuts, the U.S brand of premium frozen pizzas. Deep Cuts was created by Universal Music Group for Brands, the brands division of UMG. The pizzas are manufactured by Richelieu Foods, a private company known for its quality products in frozen foods. Yachty expressed his enthusiasm for the new brand in a public statement.

“I’ve loved making and eating pizza my whole life, so this is a project I’m really excited about and have been for a long time,” the rapper said. “We made some wild flavors but there’s still something for everybody. I take my pizza seriously so I’m looking forward to seeing what people think.”

Yachty’s Pizzeria comes in four delectable flavors including Hot Honey Cheese, Pepperoni & Bacon, Veggie Supreme and Buffalo Style Chicken. All pies will be sold at a retail price of $6.98. Speaking for UMG’s Global Brands division, VP Richard Yaffa issued a statement of his own.

“Yachty’s Pizzeria is an exciting example of a strategic brand extension that both represents the artist’s interest, passion and personality as well as a way to help him expand his business portfolio,” Yaffa said. He also added that brands such as Yachty’s Pizzeria help “find new ways for our artists to connect with their fans around the world.”

Yachty has been a pizza lover for most of his life. He even toldĀ 88RisingĀ in 2016 that he’s eaten a slice almost every day since the second grade.

“I eat pizza every day for my whole life,” the Atlanta rapper said. “That’s just my life now.”

The latest on Lil Yachty

However, Yachty has laid low in terms of music so far in 2022, having not released an official single. He recently brought in his 25th birthday with Drake in Turks and Caicos, sporting a new OvO tattoo as a tribute to the Canadian rapper.

He also isn’t the only rapper to venture into the food industry in recent months. In August, Snoop Dogg dropped a new cereal called Snoop Loopz, falling under the Broadus Foods brand. He even released a video of the cereal box, declaring that the cereal would dominate the grocery game.

Soulja Boy Responds To a 12-Year-Old Wizkid Diss On Twitter

Soulja Boy is firing shots at Nigerian artist Wizkid over a tweet from 2010. Soulja, who has always kept his name alive through various beefs, called out Wizkid over the tweet on Sunday.

“I swear, Soulja Boy is wack! Jeeeezzzzz!, the post from July 11, 2010 read. There’s no explanation for how the tweet came to Soulja Boy’s attention, but the Atlanta rapper has never been one to tolerate disrespect.

“Ya mama wack. Shut ya b**ch a** up,” Soulja replied on July 10. Soulja Boy’s response to Wizkid has garnered over 8,000 retweets and almost 13,000 likes. Fans have chimed in on the topic over social media.

“I agree with you Soulja Boy,” tweeted one fan. The tweet ended up being liked by Soulja himself. Later on Sunday, the “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” artist went on Instagram Live to further address the situation.

“I just seen this sh*t right now n***a, you feel me?”, he said. I don’t understand how n***as can say, ‘Soulja Boy wack, Soulja Boy this, Soulja Boy that.’ But as soon as I say, ‘You’s a b*tch, ya mama,’ then it’s, ‘Oh no he’s clout chasing. Oh no he crazy. Oh no, why he say that?.'”

A Deeper Look Into The Wizkid Tweet

At the time of the tweet, Wizkid was only 19 years and had released singles from his debut albumĀ Superstar,Ā which dropped in 2011. Meanwhile, Soulja was the same age and had already released two albums with classic hits such as “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” and “Turn My Swag On.”

As mentioned, however, Soulja Boy is no stranger to beef. He’s had conflicts with numerous artists in the industry throughout his career. Chris Brown, Lil Yachty and Bow Wow are some of the more notable examples.

In a recent interview, A$AP Rocky claimed that rap music hasn’t been as “mature” since Soulja Boy’s debut.

“Rap is in its adolescence and it’s been stuck here since Soulja Boy,” he said toĀ Interview Magazine. “Before, everybody looked 35 and up. When Lil Wayne and Jay-Z and T.I and Jeezy and [Rick} Ross was on, they looked old. Like, we had Lil Bow Wow and that was it.”

Lil Yachty Claims Drake Wrote “Churchill Downs” Verse In 11 Minutes

According to Lil Yachty, Drake only needed 11 minutes to write his verse for Jack Harlow‘s “Churchill Downs.” In an appearance on DJ Akademiks’Ā Off The RecordĀ podcast, Lil Boat said Drake wrote the verse while on vacation with Harlow.

“I actually talked to Drake about that verse,” Lil Yachty said on the podcast. “He said he did that sh*t in like 11 minutes. He said he did that in front of Jack. That verse, he told me that. …They did it when they were out in the islands.”

TheĀ Come Home The Kids Miss YouĀ track garnered attention for more than Drake’s bars. PETA called out Jack Harlow for glamorizing the sport of horse racing in the song, going so far as to issue a statement. The statement even challenged Harlow to pay for the care of neglected thoroughbreds.

“Jack Harlow’s glamorized portrayal of horse racing is missing the whips, drugs and death rampant in the industry,” PETA Vice President Kathy Guillermo said in the statement. “Profiting from the abuse of others is never acceptable, and PETA is calling on Jack Harlow to pony up and pay for the care of American Thoroughbreds who would otherwise be shipped to foreign slaughterhouses.”

Lil Yachty on Quality Control mates

Yachty’s appearance on DJ Akademiks’ podcast went beyond Drake. The QC artist spoke on his the rumored split between his label mates Migos.

“I don’t know… I haven’t seen them n***as in a long time,” Boat said of the breakup. He also discussed his lack of interest in a QC based tour, citing the musical differences between him and Lil Baby.

“I’m not going in front of Lil Baby, bro,” he said. “Motherf***ers gonna look at me crazy, ‘What the f**k ni**a, get off that stage.’ I’m not going in front of that ni**a at all… We are in such different lanes, if someone’s coming to see him, they are not tryna hear me. We are on two different ends of the spectrum.”

Lil Yachty Wants Nicki Minaj to Unblock Him, Asks Drake for Help

Yachty is Tired of Being on Nicki’s Bad Side

Last year, Lil Yachty took to Twitter to remind the world Nicki Minaj has him blocked on Twitter. Naturally, he wants to make things right with one of rap’s biggest female icons.

The feud seemingly began when Yachty proclaimed he could not work with Nicki. He told Raquel Harper on BET that he’s “Team Cardi.” Of course, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have had highly publicized tensions over the past few years. Clearly, this did not sit well with Nicki and her fanbase, the “Barbz.”

Despite his statement being from 2018, he has not seen forgiveness.

Time to get some friends involved.

In a new interview with TMZ, Lil Boat made a point to let everyone know he’s still looking to fix the situation. He told them, “Man, I loved Nicki Minaj since I was a child.” Additionally, he even sought help from Nicki’s longtime collaborator and Billboard’s Artist of the Decade: Drake.

Yachty

He continued in the interview, “I even hit Drake! I hit Drake, like, ‘Tell Nicki I love her! I love her to death.'” Yachty and Drake collaborated alongside DaBaby on their 2020 hit “Oprah’s Bank Account.” Even more recently, Drake and Nicki joined forces with Lil Wayne on “Seeing Green” just last month.

Can this circle of collaborators finally ease these tensions? We’re all for a fairytale ending to this situation.

I don’t listen to Yachty’s music, it is not for me. I will give the young rapper credit thou. He has great business sense. Many people let the dreads and deep voice confuse them. His music content probably doesn’t
