Tory Lanez Ordered To house Arrest, Seen Charging Ankle Bracelet!

Tory Lanez was involved in a few altercations these past couple of years. Although he plead not guilty, the Los Angeles judge ordered him to house arrest.

TMZ reports that the rapper is ordered to house arrest until November 28th. This is when his trial with Megan Thee Stallion begins. Back in September, Lanez was accused of attacking August Alsina in Chicago which led to his court-ordered house arrest. There was not only a video that surfaced but also an Instagram post where Alsina is seen with a bloody mouth, in which he claims that Tory assaulted him all because he didn’t greet the rapper. August said, “There was never a “fight”! Simply an assault.”

Tory keeps his head high going into house arrest.

On Monday, October 31st, the “Broke In A Minute” artist was seen outside the Corrective Solution facility in Los Angeles. Although no charges were filed in the Alsina case, Tory’s attorney, Shawn Holley argued that allegations made by August were without hard proof. Lanez was caught walking and smiling as you can notice him charging the metal tracker on his ankle.

While the star will be on house arrest, prosecutors are continuing to argue that Tory needs to remain in custody as he keeps violating the conditions of his bail regarding his case with Megan. They claim he is a threat to public safety and monetary bail wont slide. As of right now, Lanez is being charged for firing the gun that injured Meg back in 2020. Things are not looking good for the “Say It” rapper as he will be spending quite some time at home.

In other related news, Tory Lanez has been keeping himself positively productive as he’s not only dropped his Sorry 4 What album but also featured on many tracks. Recently the artist collabed with Diddy on a “Gotta Move On” remix with Fabulous. He also worked with A Boogie on the track “Take Shots” and Hotblock Jmoe on “9 X Outta 10.”

Megan Thee Stallion and Big Sean Facing Lawsuits For “Go Crazy” Copyright Infringement

Back in 2020, Megan Thee Stallion dropped “Go Crazy” featuring Big Sean and 2 Chainz off her Good News album. Recently, two Detroit artists came forward to say the rappers stole their record to create the song.

According to Hot New Hip-Hop, Big Sean and 2 Chainz were featured in Meg’s song “Go Crazy.” The track was reportedly stolen and may result in a heavy lawsuit. Duawn Payne whose stage name is Go Hard Major, and Harrell James who goes by H Matic, claim the single was copied off one of their earlier songs. The source reports that Megan and Sean were both sued along with 1501 Certified Entertainment, and Universal Music. Payne and James accused the song makers of stealing their song “Krazy.” Reports claim the track was made in 2012 and was released on ReverbNation.

The pair stated at the time they used to perform in their city and give out CDs of their music. Big Sean also happens to be from Detroit causing the two to believe he may have stumbled across their music. The lawsuit reportedly reads,

“The Copyrighted Work is an original work of authorship and is particularly unique as a result of its catchy chorus—or hook—the centerpiece of the Copyrighted Work.”

“The sale of thousands of physical copies of CDs featuring the Copyrighted Work on the streets of West Detroit and the parking lots of hip hop clubs in West Detroit frequented by [Big Sean] provide further access of the Copyrighted Work to Defendants. Upon release, the Infringing Work sold reportedly 100,500 units for the first week of its release. Since the debut, the Infringing Work has reportedly gone platinum, meaning more than one million copies have been sold.”

Although it is unclear what Payne and James are seeking in damages from this case, the two reportedly sent both Megan and Sean cease and desist letters, however, there was no response.

Megan Thee Stallion Debuts Diss Track During Coachella Set

Sunday marks the end of the first weekend of Coachella 2022. Though this year, it didn’t make as  big of a social media wave, there were some memorable moments involving Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper headlined night two of the festival, and previewed an upcoming song. Fans suspect it’s a diss track toward rapper Tory Lanez who allegedly shot Meg two years ago. However, it doesn’t yet have a title because it’s just an unreleased snippet of a song. Megan commanded attention from Hotties in a tweet posted April 7, over two weeks before she took the stage.

“I got this song that I recorded and every time I play it for a woman they start jumping and clapping I think I wanna perform it at Coachella for the first time before I actually drop it,”she said on Twitter before her performance.

She concluded the song with “You is a b-tch,” further fueling speculation from fans. Things escalated earlier this month, Tory Lanez was handcuffed for violating a court order. Hotties think this song is about him. In addition to pointing out the provocative lyrics, fans compared the style of the song to the flow of Lil Kim. The song itself samples the “Freak’n You” remix by Jodeci and WuTang Clan. Fans responded overwhelmingly positive to both of these things, though the Lil Kim inspiration isn’t confirmed.

The rapper posted a clip of the performance, captioned, “I performed a snippet of my unreleased song at Coachella last night.” She continued, “I see y’all saying y’all want it…maybe I should just gone headdd release this.” During her set The “WAP” collaborator performed other songs as well, including “Savage,” and “Big Ole Freak.” However, the unreleased track appears to be the most discussed aspect of her set. She didn’t clue the audience in on whom it’s directed at, other than saying “to whom it may f-cking concern.” However, it definitely created excitement for her next project.
