Offset Claims Quality Control Founder Blackballled Him After New Lawsuit

The battle between former Migos member Offset & their record label Quality Control exposes behind-the-scenes drama. After filing a lawsuit against Quality Control, Offset claims that label owner P is blackballing the successful Georgia rapper. P’s response referenced a similar case that Offset & the Migos filed years ago. “The last lawsuit…filed publicly and dismissed quietly,” the label executive tweeted before expressing even more frustration with Offset.

Offset responded online with, “”N***as act like Im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back. N***a you blackballed me I ain’t said shit one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?” All of this drama taking place on Twitter is coming right after Offset dropped his first single since the split, “54321:”

The Initial Lawsuit That Caused Friction

While Quavo & Takeoff are still members of QC, as a newly reshaped group, Offset looks to continue solo under Motown Records without his former label. The lawsuit Offset filed resulted from his new Baby Keem-produced single “54321” mistakenly labeled as a Quality Control release. The former Migos star reportedly bought his rights as a solo artist from the label already & feels the mistake was intentional. With Offset releasing his 2nd single since leaving the group tonight, Aug 26, you can easily understand his point-of-view.

Offset’s Solo Career Moving Forward

Although it’s sad to see this saga ending, Offset still has a bright future. “54321” is a success for both Offset & Baby Keem, with the song’s video already amassing almost 3 million. Additionally, he’s getting ready to drop a new single called “Code” with Moneybagg Yo at midnight tonight. Moneybagg & Offset recently also joined forces with Trippie Redd on the song “Big 14” earlier this month. With Offset likely getting ready to drop a whole project, are you waiting for solo Offset music?

Atlanta rapper Quavo will be headlining Trioscope and Quality Control‘s action-thriller franchise, Takeover.

Takeover will reportedly be built within an NFT community platform titled Takeover World. Quavo fans will also get to partake in the building of the platform. Takeover World recently became Trioscope’s first-ever Web3-enabled community.

Takeover Will Highlight Atlanta’s Love For Street Culture

The Takeover film is a feature-length thriller which will go into production this August. The film will highlight Atlanta’s fascination with street takeover culture. Trioscope will achieve this via its patented technology that combines live-action performances with groundbreaking CGI.

“This project is the future of movie making,” Quavo said. “It gets fans involved at the onset of Takeover World, the opportunity to own a piece of a new franchise and the ability to influence and be part of how an action feature gets made.”

Co-founder and CEO of Trioscope, L.C. Crowley added that Takeover World is the company’s “initial foray into the Web3 space.”

“Takeover World is just our initial foray into the Web3 space, where entertainment intersects with crypto, and we plan to expand our capabilities exponentially,” Crowley said. “We’re encouraging fans to get in the driver seat with us from the jump to help build the world and shape the story with us.”

As Lil Baby prepares to release his upcoming My Turn follow-up next month, he shares snippets with his fans on Instagram. There were two separate videos uploaded to the Atlanta superstar’s page that feature two new songs potentially on the album. Both his fans and peers are praising these teasers almost universally. Lil Baby’s new album is slated to release at some point in July according to the rapper himself on Twitter. It’ll be exciting to see how much he ends up dominating the charts alongside Hip-Hop’s other major album releases. Take a peek at both Lil Baby clips below:

Very Little Info About The Album So Far

2022 is shaping up to be one of the best years for the genre at the rate it’s going. Lil Baby will join other megastars on the charts such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Gunna, Lil Durk, Post Malone, Future and more. His tweets yesterday, June 27, show that he’s pretty confident and excited about the new music. He wrote, “I’m coming totally different 😤,’’ followed up by another tweet full of music note emojis. So far, he’s released a few songs in 2022 including In A Minute, U Digg and Right On which all have visuals:

Expectations For Lil Baby’s New Release

Overall, Lil Baby is on fire right now and is one of the leading artists in Hip-Hop today. He’s managed to gain tons of mainstream success while balancing out his street appeal with his commercial reach. His last solo album went No. 1 on Billboard charts selling almost 200,000 copies in its first week. Baby’s only gotten bigger since that release and even went No. 1 again with Lil Durk last year.

Migos May Have Split After Offset Unfollows Quavo & Takeoff

The beloved Hip-Hop group might finally be broken up after Offset from the Migos unfollowed Quavo & Takeoff on Instagram. Fans noticed this after both Quavo & Takeoff announced a new joint single titled “Hotel Lobby” yesterday (May 18th). Hotel Lobby is releasing this weekend. The timing is strange, especially considering that Offset’s wife Cardi B also removed both rappers from her social media as well. While some doubters predicted the group’s run of hit-making would end eventually, it’s still really sad to see happen now if true. Many thought the Atlanta group’s familial relationship would keep the group together.

Quavo & Takeoff Announce New Single As “Uncle & Phew”

As mentioned above, the news of this collaborative single between Quavo & Takeoff initially sparked the fan rumors online. The song titled “Hotel Lobby” will reportedly be released this Friday (May 20th) by the two remaining group members as “Uncle & Phew”. This is obviously a reference to Quavo being Takeoff’s blood uncle. Their cousin Offset could’ve left the group for this reason or way before the song’s creation. Take a look at Quavo’s Instagram post below announcing the single & revealing its cover art:

Are The Migos Really Over For Good?

While the Instagram unfollowing would imply that Offset separated from the Migos, not all signs support this sad rumors. At the time this is being written, Migos are still set to perform at Toronto’s Rolling Loud event in September. Additionally, there’s still potential that this whole drama is fuel to promote new music from the group. However, it does look like the Quavo & Takeoff single dropping tonight is an official release separate from the “Migos” entity. Read more of FM Hip-Hop’s featured articles today.
