Kanye Filed Documents to Change His Name to Ye

Kanye West flew in Los Angeles to file documents for a name change. If everything goes as planned, Mr. West’s new name will be Ye, an artist’s nickname for years. The artist posted on Twitter: “the being formally known as Kanye West I am YE.”

The information came from TMZ. They revealed a copy of Kanye’s request for a name change. If the judge passes it, Kanye West should be all set with his new name. The passing is highly likely to happen “unless there’s evidence a name change is designed to commit fraud.” Considering Kanye West has no bad intentions, he’s soon to become Ye.

In an interview for Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Kanye explained what “Ye” means to him. He said it’s the most rapid word in the Bible, and it means “you.” By taking a name, which means “You or Us,” Kanye is making himself a “reflection of the society.”

Ye’s New Album

Meanwhile, Kanye West’s or Ye’s new album release date is now August 27th. As always, the announcement of Kanye’s new album came in with a lot of media attention. On top of multiple albums, postpones, and shows, the rapper has recently doxed Drake.

Donda has already had several live streams. Kanye postponed the album several times since July 23rd. Kanye had performance shows instead. One of them broke Apple Music’s streaming record.

Amidst album preparations, Ye has also starred in the Beats Headphones commercial. His featuring with Dr. Dre from the new album was also used for the ad. The video also features track star Sha’Carri Richardson.

Every time Kanye West releases an album, some fuzz in the media takes place. One can only expect if the new album will actually release on 27th or more backlash happens instead.

Kanye West is dropping a new album

Seemingly out of nowhere, Kanye West has returned to hip-hop’s spotlight. After hosting an unexpected listening party, rumors of his next project began flowing. Last night, West officially announced his new album.

During last night’s NBA Finals game, a new advertisement for the Beats Studio Buds premiered. The commercial featured American track star Sha’Carri Richardson and new music from West himself. Richardson recently gained support and sparked dialogue around the country. She was suspended from the Olympics for marijuana usage.

We got a lot of new information

A block of text explains that West’s next album, Donda, will release this Friday in the corner of the commercial. His late mother, who passed away in 2007, serves as the inspiration for the album’s title.

The text also reveals that a listening event livestream on Apple Music this Thursday at 8 PM EST. Album livestreams are now somewhat of a tradition for West, who premiered The Life of Pablo and Ye during live events.

The commercial previewed the new song “No Child Left Behind,” which features vocals from Vory. French DJ Gesaffelstein claimed production credits.

A first look at the new rumored Kanye West album

Exclusive industry personnel, church members and lucky fans joined Kanye West last night at a church in Las Vegas, NV for a special look at his rumored new album.

DONDA, the album name and cover art released by Kanye back in June 2020, is rumored to feature Baby Keem, Westside Gunn, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Pusha T and more.

With no phones allowed, invited fans reveal songs from the alleged tracklist

The listening party started off humbly with four young prodigies playing piano in the center of the church. The instrumental featured audio from Kanye’s late mother, Donda, who sadly passed away back in 2007 after an unexpected death.

The mood transitions with an interlude, as there are many in the album. One of which simply features the word “DONDA” repeated over and over by an unidentified woman.

Turning up the hype in the room, the second and third songs played sent listeners into a frenzy. Song number two features Kanye and Pusha T rapping back and forth on an up-beat production. While song three features Lil Baby on a party track.

Fans say some songs are slow and some are trap, some songs can be played at church and some in the club

Although most of the songs were centered around God, fortunate attendees say there is much variety in his sound. 

Fans and church-members alike, raved at the beats that accompanied the gospel songs.

Sources on Twitter who were in attendance laughed at Kanye for rushing to turn the music down when profanities, like the “b-word” and “n-word”, popped out in his music while being in a church.

Meanwhile, celebrity sources like Justin LA Boy, praised Kanye, claiming that his production is “light-years ahead of its time, and the bars sound like he’s broke and hungry, trying to get signed again.”

Kanye pauses the music for a short moment to speak. This gives fans time to speculate who the “neighbor” is he mentions. Some believe it’s rapper Drake and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Because Kanye had a long list of songs on the laptop he was playing from, it is unclear which songs will actually appear on the final album. 

However, rumors circulate that at least two new songs will air with the premiere of a Beats Headphone and/or Nike commercial in support of Sha’Carri Richardson during Game 6 of the NBA finals on Tuesday. The two commercials played at the beginning of the listening party on Sunday.

Overall, Kanye’s new album is about having faith in God and overcoming adversity. He speaks on personal struggles, as well as struggles others face. The rumored album is said to have positive messages that you can turn up to.

Stars voice support for track star Sha’Carri Richardson

Due to the pandemic, the summer Olympics were postponed until this summer. Prominent track star, Sha’Carri has been suspended after being tested for THC, which means she will not compete in the 100 m dash at the Olympics in Toyoko. During the Olympic trials, she dominated the 100-meter dash. Stars voice support for track star Sha’Carri Richardson. 

Several celebrities expressed their support for Richardson through social media this weekend. Some celebrities, including Drake, Seth Rogen, Cardi B and Snoop Dogg, called on USADA to scrap its marijuana ban as societal views on pot have drastically changed. The 30-day suspension of the track star has ignited outrage all over the country.

Reactions to the star’s suspension

“Are you serious?!” Snoop said, “Marijuana? It’s not an enhancement for her abilities,” Snoop Dogg wrote on social media. 

“They know she woulda ATE,” Drake wrote in his Instagram Stories.

Cardi B stated on social media, “I feel like the Olympics are going to try and be so hard on her ’cause this has been a big situation. However, that doesn’t take away [from the fact] that she’s the most talked-about athlete. Three years from now, she’s going to be the No. 1 most-anticipated to go to the Olympics.”

Why did she use marijuana?

It was all due to being able to cope with a personal issue that was happening in her life. According to an interview on today’s show, she revealed the reason for dealing with the death of her mother, and not being able to deal with it in the moment. During the interview, she apologized for violating the rules and she will accept the punishment in the end. 

“I want to take responsibility for my actions,” she said. 

Since news of Richardson’s suspension became public, her social media following only grew. With over a million followers on Instagram and over 345,000 followers on Twitter, she has become one of the nation’s most prominent track and field athletes.
