The Game Is Making It Plain: “Eminem is Not Better Than Me”

The Game Shuts Down the Chatter

Hip-hop is a competitive industry, as The Game has made it clear. However, he’s bowing down to nobody. He knows the strength of his talent, so he’s shutting down the chatter otherwise.

The Game recently made an appearance on Drink Champs, and he had something to say to the listeners. In a bold show, the artist proclaimed Eminem is not better than me. Although one’s word is bond, The Game wants to prove he’s not all talk; he’s ready to prove his skill.

Game Recognizes Game

The Game is not taking anything away from Em. In his words,

“I like Eminem, he’s one of the f***** good emcees, great emcees.”

He was dead serious too. However, now the Game is recognizing his greatness. That’s fire. How can one become the greatest if they don’t realize their own greatness? So, The Game proclaims about an hour and thirty-three seconds into the podcast he doesn’t think he’s lesser than anyone anymore, especially not Em.

“I used to think Eminem was better than me. He’s not!”

He reiterated this point many times, including an Instagram post promoting the Drink Champs episode.

Dismantling Pedestals

Without a doubt, the hip-hop community recognizes Eminem’s prowess on the mic. Mather’s got skills always did and always will. Nevertheless, The Game is tired of the pedestal the community has built to Eminem on which every artist is somehow expected to look up and acknowledge. The Game is clarifying, not him. He is not accepting that.

“Y’all N****s be having me f***** up. When it’s time to get down and it’s time to grab that mic and stand in front of that microphone in that booth, I’m a air n##### the f### out. Every time.”

What can we expect?

Since there is yet to be a head-to-head, all fans can do is take him at his word but, for sure, everyone will have their opinions; that is how it works. Since Eminem hasn’t agreed to a Verzuz, The Game is straightforward; he can prove his skills even if Eminem doesn’t accept the challenge. According to the artist, he has a new album soon releasing, Drillmatic.

“I can’t wait for y’all n##### to hear the album,” he said. Cause all this s### gone stop.”

For now, we will wait to see what happens. Until there is a matchup, the proof will be in the pudding, and judgment is predicated on  The Dream’s past projects and his new and upcoming release, and you are the sole judge.
