Kanye West shared a seemingly remorseful post on his Instagram story over his ‘Queen’ Kim Kardashian. The Chicago legend compared his divorce to the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II, expressing his sympathy to the UK.
Kim K filed for divorce from Ye back in February of 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. In March of this year, she was declared legally single. The two married in 2014 and have four children together.
It seems that Kanye West had Kim and the Queen on his mind Sunday when he posted on his Instagram story. His caption referenced the passing of the British monarch, who died on September 8 at the age of 96.

His veiled message to Kim isn’t the only reference to the late Queen, however. The day after her passing, Kanye posted vintage photos of Queen Elizabeth to Instagram in a post that has since been deleted. “Life is precious. Releasing all grudges today. Leaning into the light,” the caption read.
Kanye West Since His Divorce From ‘Queen’ Kim
Following his split from Kim, Ye made repeated statements hoping that the two would eventually reconcile. Some of these statements even came during his brief romance with actress Julia Fox, which ended in February.
West also attacked Kim’s then-boyfriend Pete Davidson in a series of social media posts. The DONDA rapper even depicted himself decapitating the former SNL star in the music video for his song “Eazy”.
Shortly after Kardashian and Davidson announced their breakup in August, Kanye shared a mock-up of a New York Times front page to his Instagram. “SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28,” the emblazoned words read.
In February, Kim shared screenshots of her texts with Ye in which she warned him that he was creating a “dangerous and scary environment.” West issued an apology through a social media post, seemingly taking accountability for his actions.
“I know sharing screenshots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be [a] good leader is to be a good listener,” Ye wrote in the message.
