Madonna was hospitalized on Saturday night after she was found unresponsive, according to Page Six. The singer was in New York City. Madonna was intubated for at least a night, but the tube was removed by Wednesday.

The 64-year-old is now alert and recovering.

The Longtime Manager Speaks Out

The “Like A Virgin” singer developed a severe bacterial infection which led to Madonna’s getting hospitalized and spending several days in the intensive care unit, according to her longtime manager Guy Oseary. Oseary had a positive update that she is still under medical care, but her health is improving, and a full recovery is expected.

Therefore, all of the Queen of Pop’s commitments are on pause – including her highly anticipated tour. A new start date for the tour and rescheduled shows are to be announced. More details are to come as soon as her management gets them.

“Celebration” Tour Dates Postponed: Original Start Date

Madonna’s eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, has allegedly been by her mother’s bedside throughout the entire terrifying incident. We are currently not sure where the bacterial infection came from.

Madonna’s 35-city global “Celebration” tour was in less than three weeks. The pop icon was originally scheduled to play more than 50 shows across North America and Europe, starting off in Vancouver on July 15. The cities she is supposed to visit include Detroit, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.

The iconic tour is supposed to consist of Madonna’s greatest hits from 1983 until 2019. However, although the announcement is sad – Madonna’s fans are showering her with love.

Madonna’s Last Major Health Issue In 2020

The “Hung Up” singer’s last health issue was a couple of years ago after hip replacement surgery. The Michigan native was not shy from describing how painful the surgery was, stating it was “more pain than I’ve ever been in my life.” The procedure was done 11 months after she got the injury from her Madame X tour, which forced her to cancel several shows.
