Drama that arose in 2020 between members of A$AP Mob (@asapmob) led many to believe they would never hear new music from the crew. A$AP Bari confirmed that A$AP Ferg (@asapferg) was “kicked out” of the Mob, but fans started having different thoughts when the group reunited for a cypher this week.
A$AP Mob was formed in 2006 and consists of mostly New-York based rappers with the “A$AP” moniker. The crew has been through a lot together, including one of their members, A$AP Yams, passing in 2015. For the first time in a while, the crew posed for a photo together in NYC this week, posting it to their A$AP Mob Twitter account. The caption read “Got something special on the way” with #YammyGang included, a way for the members to pay tribute to their lost friend. Yam’s mother Tatianna Paulino is also included in the center of the photo smiling with the gang.
A$AP Yams originally envisioned the Cozy Tapes project. The crew worked for almost a year off of the “blueprints” that Yams left for them, making Cozy Tapes: Vol 1 Friends perfect.

For this reason, fans are buzzing in hopes that the Mob is working on their third installment of Cozy Tapes. Since A$AP Ant returned in April, it can be confirmed that the team is in the making of Cozy Tapes 3. Whether the name has been changed to Cozy Tape, we’re unsure.
A$AP Rocky’s Upcoming Music
A$AP Rocky (@asaprocky) was incarcerated in a Swedish prison earlier this year, and from recent interviews he has explained there is a calculated reason for this. Many want to know his thoughts and experiences of being in prison in Sweden, where he listed his nickname as “pretty motherf***er” in the police documents. He’s been saving the stories for his new music, and when asked what he’s been up to recently, he says:
“Right now I am working on, I would say, something that is highly anticipated because a lot of people want to know how I am feeling about the whole situation. Making music is fun. It’s always fun. In a way, it’s a parallel with fashion because I think the right key, the right silhouette, the right look — the right expression — can trigger an emotional connection: sometimes a nostalgic connection and sometimes an enticing connection with people.”
Safe to say, A$AP Rocky is happy to be back in the States performing and making new music.
