A$AP Mob Teases That Something “Special” Is Coming

Drama that arose in 2020 between members of A$AP Mob (@asapmob) led many to believe they would never hear new music from the crew. A$AP Bari confirmed that A$AP Ferg (@asapferg) was “kicked out” of the Mob, but fans started having different thoughts when the group reunited for a cypher this week.

A$AP Mob was formed in 2006 and consists of mostly New-York based rappers with the “A$AP” moniker. The crew has been through a lot together, including one of their members, A$AP Yams, passing in 2015. For the first time in a while, the crew posed for a photo together in NYC this week, posting it to their A$AP Mob Twitter account. The caption read “Got something special on the way” with #YammyGang included, a way for the members to pay tribute to their lost friend. Yam’s mother Tatianna Paulino is also included in the center of the photo smiling with the gang.

A$AP Yams originally envisioned the Cozy Tapes project. The crew worked for almost a year off of the “blueprints” that Yams left for them, making Cozy Tapes: Vol 1 Friends perfect.

See the post below.

For this reason, fans are buzzing in hopes that the Mob is working on their third installment of Cozy Tapes. Since A$AP Ant returned in April, it can be confirmed that the team is in the making of Cozy Tapes 3. Whether the name has been changed to Cozy Tape, we’re unsure.

A$AP Rocky’s Upcoming Music

A$AP Rocky (@asaprocky) was incarcerated in a Swedish prison earlier this year, and from recent interviews he has explained there is a calculated reason for this. Many want to know his thoughts and experiences of being in prison in Sweden, where he listed his nickname as “pretty motherf***er” in the police documents. He’s been saving the stories for his new music, and when asked what he’s been up to recently, he says:

“Right now I am working on, I would say, something that is highly anticipated because a lot of people want to know how I am feeling about the whole situation. Making music is fun. It’s always fun. In a way, it’s a parallel with fashion because I think the right key, the right silhouette, the right look — the right expression — can trigger an emotional connection: sometimes a nostalgic connection and sometimes an enticing connection with people.”

Safe to say, A$AP Rocky is happy to be back in the States performing and making new music.

“Floor Seats II” By ASAP Ferg Just Dropped

Floor Seats II Out Now | ASAP Ferg’s Twitter

Harlem rapper ASAP Ferg (@ASAPFerg) is out with his third studio album “Floor Seats II”. Following the success of his 2019 album “Floor Seats”, the sequel features artists Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Marilyn Manson and more. The project consisted of 10 quick tracks that have the same vibe as his recently released music “No Ceilings” with Lil Wayne and and Jay Gwuapo, and “Move Ya Hips” with Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO. His high-energy tracks continue in this album and are sure to have fans listening on repeat.

The album features a track named after famous basketball star Dennis Rodman (@dennisrodman) , and he announced the release of the album via Instagram through a video of him and Rodman himself hyping it up. Along with the album, he dropped the music video to “Dennis Rodman” and urged everyone to check it out on his social media accounts.

The rapper is still be a member of the ASAP Mop, despite a rough patch he and the members been going through the past few weeks. The dispute started when co-founder ASAP Illiz stated that Ferg was “no longer part” of the group and saying Ferg’s recent music is “dumb trash”. However, Ferg isn’t being kicked out of the Mob and the official ASAP Mob Twitter account has his post about “Floor Seats II” pinned to the top of their account. ASAP Nast even tweeted that ASAP Ferg is still part of the fam, followed with a hashtag of their motto “ASAPForever”. He also went on to remind everyone that all families go through bad times.

A$AP Ferg And A$AP Rocky Pays Homage To DMX With “Pups”

Salutations FM Trendsetters and FM Hip Hop Heads!  Hope everyone had a great weekend! We also hope all the mothers worldwide enjoyed their well deserved Mother’s Day! While everyone was taking their mothers out to nice restaurants, two pivoted figures of the Harlem A$AP Mob collective released a track that was guaranteed to “get uglier than Balenciagas“. A$AP Ferg teamed up with his fellow member A$AP Rocky on a banger that gives you that 1998 feel.  The DMX sampled “Pups” banger.  This is not your average sampled track.  The banger samples Ruff Ryder and former Def Jam emcee DMX‘s 1998 debut single “Get At Me Dog (featuring Sheek Louch)” track.  No instruments was changed.  The song was done in its original and rawest form.  From the drums, snares and barking ad libs to the “Where my dogs at? We right here dog…” references.

A$AP MOB Stars in Calvin Klein’s Newest Ad

Calvin Klein has been around for a while. Many celebs graced the covers of magazines and television commercials for the brand. Now, its A$AP MOB’s turn! The latest #MyCalvins campaign starred the entire A$AP MOB group as the new faces of Calvin’s Denim and Underwear lines. Including, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP J Scott, A$AP Ant, A$AP Nast, A$AP Lou, and A$AP Twelvyy. Yass too #BlackExcellence. One of the members, A$AP Scott appeared in the group shot that was taken by photographer Willy Vanderperre as well as behind the scenes footage as well.

The A$AP MOB play around and dance throughout the 30-second commercial. They talk about fashion while wearing vintage pieces from the Denim and Underwear collections. In a part of the campaign, the group tries to come together and say the brand’s infamous tagline “MY Calvins,” but A$AP Rocky accidentally says “Our Calvins” which made the commercial super funny and relatable.

Moreover, this is not the first time A$AP Rocky starred in campaigns. He’s been seen rapping Dior Homme, DKNY and many more. According to HarperBazzare.com, A$AP Ferg studied fashion design in school and launched his own brand called Devoni Clothing in 2005.

Lastly, #MyCalvins campaign is set for Spring 2018, which centers around the theme family and unity. Last month, Solange graced the campaign with her “musical family” which included Dev Hynes, Caroline Polachek, Kelela and Adam Bainbridge of Kindness.

Check out the Spring 2018 #MyCalvins campaign below! and stay tuned for more of #MyCalvins ads through out the 2018 Spring Season.
