There is no end to the advancements in technology! Inspiring ideas have been drawn from mobile devices of the early 2000s. For instance, the millennial generation is certainly one group of people that can recall getting their first flip phone. In the early 2000s, mobile phone users were ecstatic about the transition from bulky mobile phones of the 1980s to one-way pagers to cell phones with no features other than making and receiving calls to flip phones. In 2022, Samsung has truly outdone itself with its products. On August 10, Samsung held a virtual event entitled Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022, starting at 9 a.m. ET or 6 p.m. PT.
A live stream of the event is available to view on YouTube and Twitter. Additionally, Samsung Unpacked featured cast members from Netflix’s Emily in Paris. As part of their product announcement, several new devices were unveiled. In addition to some updated watches and earbuds, two new phone models came out with undeniably cool features, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Design and Features
The public immediately went back to the early 2000s when Samsung created the fourth generation Galaxy Z Flip 4, designed as a clamshell, similar to the flip phones of that period.
The Z Flip 4 has some improvements that make it a better device than its predecessors. Besides being lighter and slimmer, it is also more innovative. According to Samsung, users will be able to enjoy all the advantages of a smartphone while only having to carry half as much hardware.
There is no reason to believe that a device small in size is not of high quality. A product’s features can often overshadow its appearance if these features are robust.
Furthermore, unlike other mobile devices today, the Samsung device features an enhanced camera system that uses 65% brighter lenses, a more potent processor, and advanced artificial intelligence software. Regardless of the time of day, users can take highly transparent and steady photographs.
It is very convenient to use this feature since users no longer need to reposition themselves during the night or during very bright conditions to take a photograph. In addition to its exterior being made of Gorilla Glass, the alloy of the Z Flip 4 is Armor Aluminum, one of the most durable metal materials available. The device is available in various colors, including graphite, purple, pink, gold, and blue. Users can choose 75 color combinations for the frame and body with its personalized line, Bespoke.
Water Resistant?
Samsung seems to be on a mission to amaze the public with every new iteration of its products. Last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 were water resistant and had improved usability. A user will have peace of mind knowing that if they drop their phone in the water, there will be no damage.
The good news is that the company has decided to keep the same feature in the Z Flip 4. Per Samsung, the smartphone can absorb five feet of water for 30 minutes without sustaining damage. As you are performing this act, it would be a great idea to remain aware of the time.
How Much Does The Z Flip 4 Cost?
Starting on August 26, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be available in stores at the same price as its sibling, which is $999.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Features and Aesthetics
Samsung has done an excellent job of being creative in incorporating its versatile appearance into the phone. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 folds outward like a book into a tablet, providing a combination of tablet and smartphone functionality Z Fold 4 packs swiping gestures and a taskbar similar to a laptop. Aside from the interactive cover screen, the phone is lighter, more slender, and has narrower edges.
In an interesting twist, Samsung is integrating ideas from PCs into their phones to create a much more user-friendly experience. Considering the innovative nature of such devices, you cannot help but wonder what the future may hold for mobile technology.
Additionally, the design of the Fold changed, including an updated camera system that includes a 50MP wide-angle sensor and a 30x optical zoom and several new features, including night photography.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 starts at $1,799.99 and comes in gray-green, beige and black. A burgundy option is also offered in 256GB and 512GB capacities. In the long run, $1,800 must be a worthwhile investment if it is to be spent on a mobile device. Don’t forget to get yourself one before it’s too late!
