Fabolous & Jim Jones Release ‘Diet Coke’ Remix Video; Approved By Pusha T

Pusha T released “Diet Coke” in February. Jim Jones and Fabolous wasted no time recording a freestyle over a Kanye West and 88 Keys beat. After releasing a snippet of the freestyle on the internet, fans were excited. However, nothing more was revealed.

On Wednesday (Apr 20), Jim Jones and Fabolous finally provided their fans with what they had been waiting for when they released the music video for their “Diet Coke” freestyle entitled “Coke Zero.” Capo and Fab appear in the Shula The Don-directed video while rapping cocaine-laced rhymes in a tropical location.

“Yesterday’s price is not today’s yay’s price (Negative)/It’s forty-seven K just to get a K of white/Told ’em shorty don’t play, I had this .40 sprayin’ light/Got the switch on that sh*t, they had thought I sprayed the pipe/Sneakin’ that white girl in my room just so she can stay the night,” Jim raps.

Fab played closer with his bars, rapping,

“Ayo, yesterday’s price is not today’s price/And yesterday’s life is not today’s life/You know yesterday’s wife, but that’s not today’s wife.”

‘Diet Coke’ Rapper Expresses Support on Instagram

Pusha T showed his support for the freestyle on his Instagram Stories he uploaded back in February, along with rocket emojis. It was interesting to watch, especially when Jim threw shade at Pusha amid his beef with Drake in 2018.

“I still haven’t heard a Pusha T song in my lifetime,” he told Joe Budden during an interview. “As good as he does, nobody knows his music that I know. You couldn’t tell me a verse. But if I say give me a Drake song right now, you could. You ain’t gotta think about it.”

Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz Debate Heavily Over New Slaughterhouse Project

Joe Budden and former “Slaughterhouse” members left it all on Instagram live. Their public departure has been a topic for awhile now. The group was composed of Joe Budden, Royce Da 59, Crooked I, and Joell Ortiz. Ortiz, Budden, and Royce revisited topics surrounding their former endeavors and why things were not succeeding. The conversation started calmly, but quickly turned to a heated debate. Ultimately, Budden says to Ortiz, “Suck my d*ck.”

The real reason for the breakup of Slaughterhouse

Ortiz and Budden’s fury came to a head because of untrue statements made by Budden and Royce. He shared that the demise of Slaughterhouse came after they rejected many deals record labels were offering.

Crooked and Ortiz announced their new joint project: “The Rise and Fall of Slaughterhouse.” Following this, a clip circulated online where Budden says, “Joell, I love you and want nothing but the best for you.” Ortiz responds, saying: “So then, listen to the album. Listen to the album, Joe. Listen to the album, Joe. Tell the people to listen to the album!”

Budden’s rage soon becomes apparent when they start arguing during the conversation, as he screams, “Joell, that album can suck my d*ck! Are you kidding me?” Budden sets Ortiz off, and Ortiz starts screaming: “Suck my d*ck! Don’t go there! Don’t do that!” Ortiz is saying that before he logs off fast in the heat of the moment. Budden is now questioning: “If I want the best for him, I have to support that album?”

Meanwhile, fans react to the silence of Royce during the heated debacle.

Royce does however respond using a metaphor via Instagram to better highlight the reason for their separation: “You have 25% ownership in an apartment building. You built this building with three partners brick by brick. It’s worth millions, and suddenly, the value drops because it needs renovations. You and your partners have been talking about when and how to finish work; your partners need to agree on a plan of attack. Meanwhile, you and one just of the other partners get an offer to build another building together but with just the two of you. MINUS your other two partners, and yes, there’s a check involved. BUT, there’s just one catch: YOU have to burn down the building you already have without informing the other two partners to do so. Would you do it? I don’t think so.” Hopefully, Slaughterhouse can work things out because every member deserves peace.

It looks like conflict between Slaughterhouse members isn’t going away anytime soon. Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz may sizzle for a moment but the hopes are high for a reconciliation.

Nicki Minaj Shares How Rappers Can Become “Faceless

It looks like Nicki Minaj and Joe Budden are slowly putting their past differences behind them. The anticipation stems from what these two New York rappers will share in this long-awaited  interview.

Today, Joe Budden posted on his Instagram account, a snippet of the alleged interview.

During the video, we could see Nicki and Budden having an interesting discussion.

In the short video clip, we hear Nicki Minaj talking about some rappers who, in the pursuit of success, sometimes forget who they really are and become “faceless”.

“Once you do that and once you do it a couple times, who then are you?” said Nicki.

“We’ve now forgotten who you are. I don’t think people realize that if you jump on every trend, you become faceless”

Following Nicky’s comment, Budden follows up with the phrase “This is a deep point.”

Nicki Minaj and Joe Budden’s 2019 Controversy

It was certainly a surprise for fans of both artists to see them together after the problems they had in 2019.

Nicky kicked Joe Budden off her radio show Queen Radio,  after an intense debate about drug use.

The co-host of The Joe Budden Podcast, accused Nicki of possibly taking drugs and pills in the summer of last year. “Your entire last album did that. Your past is littered with it,” said Budden.

Nicki didn’t keep quiet and answered

“I never said that you dumb f**k! Cut his f***ing mic since you wanna be dumb!”

Nicki then continued

“You like tearing down women when they can’t defend themselves. He’s so used to thinking he’s the smartest person in the room.”

Fan Excitement is Evident

No doubt fans are going crazy with the news of this upcoming interview. Instagram comments are exploding with emotion and messages of support for both artists.

Joe Budden Argues Over What A Superstar Is On His Podcast

Joe Budden was on his podcast when he got a question that required lots of conversation. They are asked who is a rap superstar. Due to the current world, the answer is not as clear as it once was. It is now philosophical in discussion.

Budden talked about how many artists are not of the “superstar” quality. He then goes on to explain that superstars are so big that their albums sell themselves just by having the artist’s name on them. They are so big that other artists have to change their release schedule. Just so that they have a chance of selling albums. He called Cardi B a superstar.

“You still got to know how to sell a f*king album. When Adele come out, you gotta move. When n****s come out, you gotta move. When a superstar comes out, you mortal, mere minion n****s have to move. Nobody does that for Lil Nas X, nobody does that for the seven Meg Thee Stallion releases that dropped over the past two years. What are we saying?”

His cohost, Parks Vallely, however, sees things a bit differently. He thinks that the game has changed and album sales are not as important as they used to be. He is seeing a superstar as someone that is very famous; someone that has an entire company as a management team. Superstars have to surround themselves with people that know how best to raise them as high as they can be.

“Griselda has a lot going on (too). There’s mad artists that have a lot going on, your management team has got to be a whole f**king company of people. You got to have a team of know-it-all people.”

The philosophies of superstars

They are talking about two vastly different philosophies on popularity and superstardom. Budden sees things purely through the eyes of meritocracy. That is, superstars are judged purely based on how well their work is doing. Vallely sees things as a utilitarian. He says that people have to have the right marketing team that can make anyone recognize the name. It is not a one-man show, but rather a collective effort to make the product be sold.

Nicki Minaj Had Some Questions For Joe Budden On ‘Queen Radio’ In 2019

During the 2019 Queen Radio broadcast, Megan Thee Stallion was scheduled to join Nicki, but she was absent. Nonetheless, the “Moment For Life” rapper compensated by inviting Joe Budden to participate. Who she described as “the most annoying man on the planet.” There was no hesitation in Nicki’s statement.

Her choice of Budden as a guest was to provide her with an opportunity. Opportunity to ask him about times her name was spoken on Everyday Struggle and The Joe Budden Podcast. He attended the grilling with two colleagues, Rory and Mal, but they acted more as observers than as participants.

When Is The Release Date For The Interview?

Currently, no date has been provided for the release of the interview, but fans are looking forward to viewing it. It is not often that Nicki does an interview, and Joe Budden is one of the best in the industry. Also, he will ask her some tough questions and learn more about Nicki’s upcoming album.

Joe Budden Thinks ‘Donda 2’ By Kanye Will Be A Very Toxic Album

Joe Budden runs one of the most successful podcasting networks out now. In one of the latest episodes of The Joe Budden Podcast, the crew discussed the news of Kanye’s upcoming sequel to his critically acclaimed gospel album Donda. Joe Budden thinks that Donda 2 will be “the most toxic shit in the universe”. Additionally, he thinks it should drop sooner than later. Check out the clip from The Joe Budden Podcast below:

Why Joe Budden Thinks Donda 2 Will Be Toxic

In short, there are several reasons why Joe made this bold prediction.

The album is reportedly being executive produced by Atlanta rapper Future. Joe and many fans believe this prediction to be reality. After all, Future flaunts his “toxic” subject matter and attitude towards women (at least in his music).

The album itself is slated to come out on February 22nd, but we all know it’s hard to trust a Kanye’s announced release dates. However, it makes sense for it to come out around this time because of all the drama surrounding his personal life. Within the past few months, the story of his divorce from Kim Kardashian has taken several turns & twists. For Budden’s prediction to be true, the album does need to come on time or around the date. In his words, “for it to be as impactful as the most toxic shit in the universe, it has to be somewhat near real-time. I think this is a counter and a rebuttal.”

How Do We Define “Toxic”?

What does the term “toxic” even mean in this context? According to WebMD, a toxic person is anyone whose behavior adds negativity and upset to your life. Therefore, that would mean Kanye would react negatively towards Kim & others on the upcoming Donda 2. Do you think Ye will go fully in that direction with Future?  Read more of FM Hip Hop’s featured articles today.

Joe Budden Reports Impressive End Of The Year Stats For His Podcast

Joe Budden ends the year with a bang as he continues to experience a growing fan base despite conflict with former cohost Rory and Mal.

Budden, Rory, and Mal Debacle

Rory, Mal, and Joe Budden made an impressive team. Consequentially, they gained a massive following for the Joe Budden podcast. However, not all things last. The relationship between the cohosts began deteriorating until it became explosive. The tension got raw, and Rory and Mal lost their position alongside Budden. In what some consider a petty move, the host let both go publicly. However, after some time and contemplation, Budden went public with an apology for his actions.

In an interview, he told

“I don’t want that to affect people I love, which is why I’m going to apologize to Rory because me and Rory have so many fly n***a moments together. It’s unfortunate that I can’t tell you how we got here, maybe aside from—if I’m taking accountability—poor leadership skills.”

Waiting for Budden to Falter

Many thought the podcast would flounder with Rory and Mal no longer part of the team. But they were wrong. The current stats show that did not and probably is not going to happen. According to Budden’s 2021 Audio Statistics report, he amassed over 2 million plays per week for 104 million plays this year. And now, people in 214 countries are playing his podcast.

Are the Numbers Smoke and Mirrors

No good news is without speculation. And there are some rumors regarding the numbers. A few even believe some stats are a bit fluff. One statistic used to support this theory is the number of countries Budden reports as listeners. Some have mentioned the United Nations only recognizes 195 countries globally. So, If the number is authentic, Budden’s podcast can’t run in 214 countries. However, the public can only go on what is being reported.

Success is Worth Celebrating

Many are shocked Budden continues to pull such numbers after the public fallout. However, everything is not always black and white. Undoubtedly multiple rationales could serve to undergird the podcast’s continual success. However, one of the most logical reasons would be his fans like the content he provides.

Congratulations to Budden on his success. Uplifting the culture is all about recognizing the success of others within the community.

Katt Williams Speaks on Cancel Culture in Comedy

Katt Williams went on The Joe Budden Podcast to discuss cancel culture in comedy.

Last week, comedian and actor Katt Williams joined Joe Budden on The Joe Budden Podcast to discuss cancel culture, mainly in different forms of comedy. In recent months, many stand-up comedians have been under fire for comments in their material that were offensive to various groups of people. As a result, the comedy community is at odds over the concept of canceling comedians over their material. In addition, there is a question over whether the effects of cancel culture are harmful.

“Your job as a comedian is to please the most people with your art”

When prompted on the topic of cancel culture, Williams compared it to general laws like speed limits. “Nobody likes the speed limit, but it’s necessary,” he stated. “Nobody likes the shoulder of the road, but it’s there for a reason.”

He added that comedy has not lost its effect despite the added limitations to avoid criticism from the audience.

Katt Williams

“The point is, a lot of these people weren’t all that extremely funny back when they could say whatever they wanted to say.”

Williams went on to talk about the need to protect the marginalized groups. Specifically, the groups that do not have a powerful voice. He called on cancel culture as these groups simply defending themselves against comedians who make them the butt of jokes. He denied the existence of cancel culture, instead claiming the idea of a cancel culture “was people without a voice being trashed by people just because they had a bigger name than them, and more money than them, and a better office than them. [comedians] could sweep them up under the rug like they didn’t matter.”

Following Katt William’s statements on the podcast, Joe Budden appeared to agree. Williams successfully outlined the roots of cancel culture. He listed out the meanings behind it and why it was an essential part of comedy. He didn’t suggest that comedians could not make jokes. Instead, Katt Willaims emphasized the need for repercussions against certain jokes.

Joe Budden Sexually Assaults DJ Olivia Dope on His Podcast

The Controversies Against Joe Budden Have Been Stacking Up Recently!

On Monday, former “See, The Thing is…” podcast host DJ Olivia Dope revealed her experiences working with Joe Budden in a 26-minute long Instagram post. Her experiences come from her podcast, which is produced as part of The Joe Budden Network. “See, The Thing is…” is a female-led podcast that discussed different topics and opinions. Joe Budden had sat in on a podcast taping and provided commentary, much of which made the hosts and guests uncomfortable.

In the video, DJ Olivia Dope said that throughout the podcast taping, Budden “continuously made sexual, suggestive remarks to me that made me extremely uncomfortable as well as fearful of dampening the mood if I didn’t laugh along while he made those sexual remarks to me.” In addition, she said that Budden had asked for a hug at the end of the taping and proceeded to make inappropriate sexual gestures.

“The healing begins now.”

Joe Budden released a statement apologizing to DJ Olivia Dope following her video. In his statement, Budden apologized to her, the staff, and the public. He added “We support all women’s rights to feel comfortable and protected in the workplace. We fell short of that in this instance.” Budden claimed that his network made efforts to amplify and support the voices of black women and that he was working to improve on his behaviors. Based on the actions described by DJ Olivia Dope, it’s hard to tell if his words will ring true.

Joe Budden

The episode with these events has been removed from all platforms following the controversies. While DJ Olivia Dope no longer hosts “See. The Thing is…,” the podcast is still running with new hosts. If you want to actually practice what Joe Budden preaches and support black women, you can check out the latest episodes here.

Why Hip Hop Needs the Joe Budden Podcast

The Joe Budden Podcast

In Hip Hop culture the OGs in the game are who the next generation coming up needs to survive. The JBP (Joe Budden Podcast) gives listeners, people in the media, and artists a pure and unfiltered voice. An opinion that most need to hear but don’t want to.

Budden has never been a media darling and has fought for the rights of artists his entire career. Having corny moments online and especially getting into fisticuffs on Love & Hip Hop, people don’t give Joe credit. While not being the rapper with the most sales, it’s easy to forget how nice he was as a solo artist and in supergroup Slaughterhouse.

The Beginning Of Podding

In 2015 he made a shift in his career and started releasing a weekly podcast, I’ll Name This Podcast Later. He started it with friends Rory Farrell and Marisa Mendez. This form of therapy and being a critic of culture eventually became his passion and main focus. Joe along with Rory added Mal and Parks to the team which later became known as The Joe Budden Podcast.

The group collectively give different opinions and views on various topics in pop culture. Their main focus being Hip Hop and the industry surrounding it. Every episode is an endless supply of laughter, hot-takes, and unadulterated truth.

#FmEntertainment The Joe Budden Podcast Members

The team has seen every side of the rap industry and have been jaded by it. The jadedness mixed with being comfortable with your friends makes for prime time entertainment. The JBP never hold their tongues when it comes to issues, rumors, and trending topics. At least once a week they find themselves in hot water for going against the sheep of the world. They never waver, they always stand firm on their opinions.

Each member of the group has ties to either rappers, producers, or managers and know when something isn’t right in the water. They break down business deals in layman’s terms and give advice to artists that put the artists’ needs and well-being first.

No Sugar Coating

Some are thrown off by the raw way they talk because they don’t sugar coat facts. If you’re an artist or a “creative,” in a bad deal and it’s public info,  they’re gonna let you know how dumb you are for signing your life away. But they will tell you how to go about it the correct way when it’s time to renegotiate and how to survive in the cut-throat industry of music without compromising your morals.

Hip Hop needs the JBP, we need voices who aren’t afraid to get “dragged” on Twitter.  We need voices that don’t support groupthink. Up and coming artists need the JBP because they always have their hand on the pulse of the culture, and the knowledge that they give is nothing less than a free $1500 ticket to a music seminar. Social media might paint the Podcast members in a shady light at times, but that’s what happens when you’ve changed the whole trajectory of how powerful podcasts can be.
