Krayzie Bone Talked About The Beef With Suge Knight

During an interview with The Art of Dialogue, Krayzie Bone revisited the beef between Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Death Row Records.

Krayzie Bone Remembers

Krayzie Bone is a member of the legendary rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Hits like “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Tha Crossroads” put the group on the map. Their mix of harmonic melodies and speedy lyrics helped them to become rap icons.

The group first signed to Ruthless Records after Eazy-E discovered them in the 1990s.

Unfortunately, the beef between Eazy-E and two of the Death Row Records founders was also already taking place.

According to Krayzie, Eazy-E told his group to stay out of the beef. Living by a street code, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony stood with the man who gave them a shot.

“Eazy told us not to get into beef, but it was like, ‘Bruh, we with you. What do you expect us to do just, like, [stay out] of this beef?’ It was like, ‘We riding!’ …” (Krayzie Bone/ The Art of Dialogue)

Krayzie Bone Continues

Krayzie Bone claimed that Suge Knight planned to attack him and his group during the 1995 Source Awards. An unknown person told Krayzie that someone was going to attack during their performance.

“When we was at the Source Awards, they told me they (Suge Knight) was gonna pay somebody $10,000 to run up there and swing on y’all (Bone Thugs-n-Harmony) with a cane,” – (Krayzie Bone/ The Art of Dialogue)

Why So Serious Suge?

Krayzie Bone states that Suge Knight felt disrespected after the “1st of tha Month” video dropped.

In the video, Bizzie Bone was wearing a beanie with the Georgetown Bulldogs logo. The special effects made it look like the logo was on fire. According to Krayzie, Suge thought that this was directed towards Death Row Records and felt “disrespected.”

“[Suge] had called a meeting one time and told everybody to look at our videos. One of us was wearing a Georgetown Bulldogs beanie… The director told us, ‘Put the beanies on because the special effects gonna make y’all afros look like fire’…. But I guess this n-gga didn’t know what he was doing and he had the little patch on that hat on fire, and they took it as a form of disrespect.” – Krayzie Bone

A Cold War

Krayzie Bone made it clear that nothing physical happened between Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and members of Death Row Records.

Not everyone at Death Row disliked Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. 2pac was close with the group and even stopped an altercation between Suge Knight and the group. In this situation, 2pac was the cool head.

Glad that this beef didn’t go to the next level. Things could have escalated quickly.

Lil Kim’s Remix For Meg Thee Stallion’s “Plan B” Removed From Streaming Platforms

Just when Lil Kim and Megan Thee Stallion fans got a taste of the “Plan B (Remix),” the thrill died. Within hours of the track being released, it was removed from all streaming platforms.

The blessed cultural collab

With every photo tease, Lil Kim has had everyone on lock, wondering what the Queen was up to. The New York legend revealed her remix to Hot Girl Meg’s “Plan B” Last month, Kim shared a photo on her Instagram page showing just enough to get everyone pondering, much like her captioned emoji. In the image, two hands are wrapped around each other, each holding a glass of champagne. When the bubbly comes out, you can bet it’s a celebration.

It was a celebration indeed. On Sep 7, the legend fully revealed the mystery photo with herself and non-other than Megan Thee Stallion. The two were on a private jet toasting it up. Kim was draped in Dolce & Gabbana while Megan fashioned a red and sand-colored dress.

Lil Kim x Megan- A budding friendship

The female rap game is competitive as not many female rappers have survived the cutthroat industry. However, Lil Kim has solidified her spot amongst legends in the game. How did this collaboration come to fruition?

There is no secret that Megan is Lil Kim’s fan. She has openly expressed her gratitude for female rappers who put in the work so that new MCs may emulate their success. From Lil Kim to Salt-N-Peppa, the Houston hottie paid homage to them all.

Much like Megan, Kim pays respect to the new generation of lady lyricists who are changing the game. In a heartfelt message to Meagan on the gram, Lil Kim says,

“@theestallion, I have watched how hard you worked since you stepped on the scene consistent with your work and your love,. You are an amazing talent. Always keep your head to the sky and know you have made your Mommy proud! You deserve it all! May God continue to bless you.”

A Dream Fulfilled; Short-lived

Just as quickly as the train left the station, it returned. Unfortunately, the track brought about unintentional drama. 50 Cent publicly alleged that Lil Kim dissed Nicki Minaj and her son, Papa Bear, on the “Plan B(Remix).” In shady nature, 50 shared a photo collage of Kim next to an owl, eluding to similarities between the two.

“@NickiMinaj you better light her a$$ up i’m watching. she said something about the baby. Her baby eye f****d up. LOL.”

The line in question is certainly open for interpretation. However, Kim disagreed with his claims.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but N*ga you’s such a b**ch, Your father’s a b**ch, Your brother’s a b**ch, Keep acting like this and your son gon be a b***ch, They think they use us but they useless…he wanna eat the cookie like I’m Lucius,” Lil Kim rapped.

Initially, she simply replied,

“Now watch what God do to his Life!”

It didn’t take long for her to address the issue completely in her Instagram stories.

“I never said a word about anyone’s child… please feel free to listen to the song where we were clearly talking about an EX.”

She continued, “to try and twist my words to have an excuse to take digs at my child is disgusting. I’m one of the most disrespected legends in the game, but what you will not do is come for MY CHILD.”

While 50 will be 50, let’s hope the song’s removal is not in correlation to this series of unfortunate events.

The Game Blocked Pat Stay For Having Eminem’s Back

The battle challenge among rappers isn’t news. Recently, Pat Stay challenged the Game to enter a rap battle with the latter. Wondering how this started? Well, as we all know The Game dropped a disk track aimed at Eminem last week. The two rappers never really got along in real life. Moreover, by releasing his new song, The Game aka Jayceon Terrell Taylor sought Eminem’s attention by dissing “the real slim shady,” proving to the world he’s a better rapper and better lyricist than Eminem. It can be argued that he took his shot and hit it with the track titled ”Black Slim Shady.”

The Los-Angeles born rapper mentioned before that he would die to have a rap battle with the star during his interview on Drink Champs.

Pat Stay’s Clapback

The Game wrote verses mentioning that Eminem became successful because he is white which Pat contradicted.  The rapper confronted The Game in his Instagram post, throwing him a rap battle challenge. He additionally said that the 42-year-old rapper is just an attention seeker, desperately wanting to catch Eminem’s eyes by dropping his 10-minute track. Furthermore, Pat thought that Game was looking forward to Eminem’s response to the track but he apparently did not.

The rapper also posted :

I gotta say, as a fan losangelesconfidential its been hard to watch you desperately begging for @eminem attention trying to battle him. Trust me, I respect the hunger, but once you start that whole “he only blew up because he’s white” type sh*t it comes off more haterish than competitive. But Game, you seem very eager to battle. Specifically a “white boy”. Well why don’t you do a real battle and come see me?? We can do it in LA. Yeah, you’re way bigger than me in the music world, of course. But in the battle world you’re the underdog, by a long shot. We can put whatever up too.

Pat eventually cooled down the situation asking fans to back off as he does not wish to start a war with the L.A rapper. Now, let’s wait and see Eminem response to The Game’s comments.

A$AP Bari Ends Beef With Lil Uzi Vert

A$AP Bari recently uploaded a photo to social media, where he is seen with his arm around the shoulders of Lil Uzi Vert. This picture comes months after the two had to be separated during an altercation.

A$AP Bari and Lil Uzi Vert Snap Photo

HotNewHipHop reported that A$AP Bari posted a picture that shows him embracing Lil Uzi Vert. The two of them don’t seem to be at odds in the picture. It’s unclear exactly why the two were in the studio together but the photo is evidence of the moment.

The picture confused everyone looking in. Bari and Lil Uzi Vert were beefing with each other a month ago. Of course, it’s good to see rap beef get squashed but the end of the beef surprised everyone.

The Incident at a NYC Restaurant

Dreddsworld reported that Lil Uzi Vert approached A$AP Bari at a New York City restaurant. A diner recorded the incident and posted it online. The video went viral overnight. In the video, Uzi Vert and Bari only got into a verbal argument. Before the argument reached a physical point, bystanders stepped between them. The argument continues but the video ends a short time later. So, it is unknown how the altercation ends.

A$AP Bari Takes a Shot at A$AP Rocky

A$AP Bari might have ended one beef but his feud with A$AP Rocky is still going strong. The beef between the group members started when Bari took shots at Rocky. A writer for XXL revealed that A$AP Bari trolled A$AP Rocky after he posted pictures on Instagram.

A post shared by GRIM (@asaprocky)

In the comment section, A$AP Bari wrote, “You burnt out…” This caused fans of Rocky to attack Bari and fans didn’t hold back as they responded. Some responses compared the success of the two, stating that Rocky is in a much better position. Fans also brought up the sexual assault Bari pleaded guilty to a few years back. Over 300 fans had a response for the clothes designer.

A$AP Bari might have ended the beef with Lil Uzi Vert but the beef with his group member, A$AP Rocky, could be more hurtful in the end. Hopefully, Bari’s willingness to end beef will rub off on the Rocky beef. A$AP Bari should remember what A$AP stands for, “Always Strive And Prosper.” You can’t prosper if you are trying to bring others down.

DJ Drama Says Beef Between Him And Drake Been Squashed: “We Gotta Stop The Narrative Lol.”

DJ Drama made known to the public via Twitter that the beef between him and Drake has been over. A spectator on Twitter commented about it, mentioning Jack Harlow collaborating with both Drake and DJ Drama.

“We gotta stop this narrative lol,” Drama then responded. “Me & Drake been put that to rest. Grown men shit, and beyond that Jack & Drake cultivated they own relationship.”

Drama & Drake Past Beef

The rumor has it that the feud stems from 2015. Back then, Drake and Meek Mill collaborated on “R.I.C.O.”

DJ Drama allegedly told Meek that Drake had not penned his own verse. This was an allusion to him having a ghostwriter. This allegation then led to Drake’s retaliation through two diss tracks against Meek Mill and a shot taken at Drama via DJ Khaled’s song “For Free.”

DJ Drama also has had an interview with N.O.R.E saying that Drake had slept with his girlfriend as retaliation.

Moving Forward

Since then, DJ Drama has been quiet about the feud because Him and Drake are no longer at odds and now collaborate. Their most recent collaboration “Churchill Downs,” involves “What’s Poppin,” rapper Jack Harlow. Jack is signed to Drama’s label and has his music produced by him.

Networking in the music business is very fluent. This is especially true for HipHop and Rap community. The beef between DJ Drama and Drake shows the true nature of the communities. Most times, there is a mutual agreement between parties to put aside their differences.

Meek Mill’s and Drake’s situation is a typical example. They also collaborated on “Going Bad” and even appeared in concert together in 2019 during one of Drake’s tours. Rap Beef is simply that as it manages to smolder after cooking up grievances among one another.

Impact On The Rap Game; Nicki Minaj Scribbled Out Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion In Screenshot

On Tuesday afternoon, rapper Nicki Minaj gave thanks for a HotNewHipHop article about her. The piece is titled Why Nicki Minaj Is One of the Greatest of All Time. Joshua Robinson wrote an Op-Ed discussing Nicki’s rise within the music industry and the huge impact she has on rap. Moreover, this is even more true when she is out of the spotlight.

Nicki’s Impact on Hip-Hop

“Yet, what’s most astonishing and powerful about Nicki’s impact on Hip-Hop is her presence and, sometimes, the lack thereof,” Robinson writes. “Whether she’s going on an unexpected freestyle or guest-feature run, giving a rare interview, or speaking her mind in a wild Twitter rant, Nicki Minaj’s presence — be it aural, digital, or visual — is absolutely enthralling, and when she’s on hiatus, you can tell. Despite the welcomed contributions of women like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion City Girls, and Doja Cat over the past few years, female rap still feels incomplete without Nicki Minaj’s presence and output, and that alone illustrates how important she is to Hip-Hop, as a genre, and as a culture.”

Nicki Minaj posted this passage along with a praying hands emoji and a few eyebrow-raising edits to social media. According to the screenshot posted on her Twitter, her fellow female artists’ names have been scribbled without reason.

Fans Reactions

In addition, this move instantly divided fans. However, some saw it as amusing, while others viewed it as pointless and unneeded. Furthermore, the Nicki vs. Cardi beef has been around for some time. However, her claimed issues with the other acts draw less attention. Therefore, this is either because the feud ended fast or because one of the parties wouldn’t admit anything had happened.

In conclusion, neither Cardi, Megan, City Girls, nor Doja Cat reacted to Nicki’s post. Likewise, their own fan bases have plenty to say about it. Check out some of the reactions below.

Do you agree with Nicki Minaj’s decision to remove her fellow female artists from the screenshot?

Fat Joe Reflects On The Decades Long East vs. West Coast Beef

The Bronx legend Fat Joe expanded on an enlightening conversation with Minister Farrakhan during the height of the regional war.

Walking down memory lane

Fat Joe stepped on the music scene in 1993 and has since acquired 28 years of music and business acumen. Being in the game for so long, he has an inside perspective of politics within the rap industry. He gave a peek into those politics earlier this week (Dec. 21) during an interview with Big U on the Checc’n In Podcast.

According to Joe, he played a role in ending the prolific rivalry between the East and West Coast. This long-standing beef had violent consequences in the 1990’s rap scene particularly. During the height of this conflict, Joe and a number of other rappers sat down with civil rights activist Minister Farrakhan to discuss the issue. He claims a side conversation occurred between him and Ice Cube, demanding he play a bigger role in ending the beef.

The East vs. the West

While tensions between East and West coast rappers had been bubbling for years, it came to a head after the 1996-1997 deaths of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. To this day there are differing accounts between rappers old enough to experience the feud in real-time. Some insist the hate between the two regions was real, meanwhile, some maintain the problems were exaggerated by the media.

“You should have been the n*gga tryin’ to bring the peace. That’s what I was trying to tell him,” he stated. “Everybody loves you, you could have set this sh*t up and squashed this.”

He recounted him and Inglewood rapper Mack 10 having mutual respect and interest in spreading positivity.

“From there, that showed people that New York and L.A. could work together, and we became a bond, and we was doing videos together and working,” he said. Additionally, he added: “I would like to say that eased the tension between the east coast and west coast. It needed something like that; a Fat Joe, Mack 10, and everybody start working with each other, showing brotherhood and unity.”
