Remy Ma Was Scared by Mike Tyson Trying to Solicit Sex

Remy Ma recently spoke on a past interaction she had with word class boxer Mike Tyson that left her feeling shaken.

The strange story first came to light last September during the famed athletes Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson podcast. Fat Joe had featured as a special guest and called back to a memory of Tyson asking Remy to sleep with him in exchange for a Mercedes Benz.

Memory Lane With Fat Joe

“Mike invites me to the house and he says bring Remy Ma with you,” the New York rapper said. “This is around ‘Lean Back’ or some shit like that. We go to the house, he opens the door butt naked … I’m like, ‘What the fuck is up, bro?’”

He continues, “He takes me [on] a tour of the house. I’m not lying to you, every room I walked in, there was a chick in every room. In every fucking room … I’m like, ‘What the fuck? Iron Mike, this guy lives a fucking life.’”

Mike Tyson then chimed in , I said, ‘Joe, just leave Remy Ma.’ She was upstairs and I was blocking her. She was, ‘No, no.’”

Joe then added some additional details, and confirmed Remy declined the offer. “He wanted to keep Remy Ma…He showed this convertible Benz new shit. He was like, ‘You can keep this, all you gotta do is spend one night.’”

“She looked at me like, ‘Joe, if you don’t get me the fuck out this house.’ I was like, ‘Mike, we can’t do that. This is my sister’ … He offered her some fucking 500 Benz..”

Mike ,clearly not taking the ordeal seriously, replied with a laugh “I just liked busting her chops,”

Remy Ma Gives her Take

For Mike and Joe, they night was simply a funny memory. But for Remy Ma, the story brought back an uncomfortable feeling. The Love and Hip Hop New York artist was asked about the story by Jason Lee. After firstly trying the change the topic, Remy eventually revealed she was “scared” by the conversation.

“Listen, I just feel like in 2023, why are we discussing this?” She asked, visibly annoyed. Remy then told Jason that she was just a teenager at the time. She also added that she hadn’t started dating Papoose yet.

“Actually, it’s different now. I feel like women get way more now than then. It’s actually an accolade for you to set your chick out. You don’t even gotta let ’em hit! It is what it is.” She said.

Remy went on, “It was just weird. I’m mad that that story even came out. I was just like … I was scared. I’m scared now. I don’t even know what to say now. I just don’t like it.”

Despite all this, Remy was sure to clarify she didn’t feel offended by Mikes advances.

Mike and The LOX

It’s no secret Mike Tyson has had a checkered past in the public eye with women. From his documented abuse of Robin Givens to his 1992 rape conviction , Tyson doesn’t leave the best impression when it comes to the opposite sex.

Styles P had a story of his own involving Tyson trying to sleep with Eve at a past award show. Last October, the LOX member recalled the awkward story while starting on an episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson.

“Vegas or L.A., it’s one of them awards,” he said. “We see Mike, we’re chilling. Eve is with us, though — us three, there’s nobody else there. And [Mike’s] on his bully and we decided, ‘We gotta protect Eve.’ We was deciding who was gonna get knocked out. I was like, ‘I got a knife. Mike’s gonna kill us!’”

Mike Tyson had just finished serving a three year sentence for his rape conviction.

“He just liked Eve for how she was looking. Eve was nervous; we with Eve so gotta be the protectors, so now we in a fucked up position. Now we deciding who’s gonna take the Mike blow. We decided Louch. Louch was like, ‘Fuck no!’ I’m like, ‘I’ma die! I’m little!’ Nobody can take this blow. We trying to come up with a strategy. What do you do?”

Lloyd Banks Releases First Album in Over 10 Years at Midnight

A True to Form Return Story

Lloyd Banks is officially back at midnight!  Having been somewhat absent from the rap scene for a full decade, Banks is releasing ‘Course of the Inevitable‘ on June 4th, 2021.

Given how long he’s been gone, he’s giving us a full course meal of 18 tracks.  As good of a rapper Banks is, he definitely needs some features to bring in new fans and the list does not disappoint.  There are some lesser known artists featured such as Sy Ari Da Kid, Vado, and Ransom but Banks pulls no punches with the big names.  Perfectly fitting his vibe, Roc Marciano, Styles P from The Lox, and Benny the Butcher are all on the first half of the record.  Most excitingly, Banks made the last minute call to add Freddie Gibbs to the third track, ‘Empathy.’  With exciting new names as well as established giants, we’re in for some truly dirty bars.

Well Deserved Fanfare

Though he has credit with many great producers, Banks prides himself on his inclusion of new young producers on the boards for ‘COTI.’  Some of these names include, Phil Jvckson, The Olympicks, and Alpha Betic, among others.  In fact, there’s a complete lack on name brand producers on this project entirely.  While this might make some apprehensive, we say its indicative of a fresh sound that will distinguish this among other gritty New York projects.

The promotion for the album also makes it clear that this is something special.  In the promo video, Rashan Brown delivers a beautiful spoken word over a black and white montage of NYC.  There are beautiful shots of neighborhoods, projects, the subway, and the mural of Big L, ending with Banks pulling his hood up.  The whole thing is gorgeous yet mysterious, emphasizing this LP as immersive and likely cinematic.

Though this is his first studio album since 2010’s ‘H.F.M. 2,’ Lloyd hasn’t been a complete ghost for the past 11 years.  He still grinded out plenty of mixtapes, most recently ‘Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days of Fury’ in 2016.  Banks also consistently brings it on features, plenty of which are from the recent decade.  His recent verse on Conway the Machine’s ‘Juvenile Hell,’ is notable for matching the likes of one of rap’s current heavyweights.

With little to no decrease of talent over the decade, a life of fatherhood, and a solid team assisting him, the hopes for Lloyd Banks’ return are high.  Watch the promo for the anticipated LP right here!

Former Bad Boy Rapper, Black Rob Passes Away at 52

In recent years, the hip-hop community has taken a huge hit. With the untimely passing of rappers and associates, it has been a difficult one. And these past two weeks alone have been a tough pill to swallow.

Robert Ross, the rapper known as Black Rob, passed away on April 17th at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. At the age of 52. According to The New York Times, the cause of death was cardiac arrest. Friend of Ross, Mark Curry, told the Times, that Ross was dealing with numerous health issues before his death. Such as lupus, kidney failure, diabetes, and multiple strokes.

After the passing of fellow rapper DMX, Ross shared a video of him paying tribute to the rapper during a hospital stay. This viral post left many people shocked across social media because of the circumstances surrounding the ‘Bad Boy’ rapper. Many rappers, such as Styles P, called for a rapper’s union. Citing protection and union should be accountable in circumstances of rappers falling in need of help.

Despite his untimely passing, the “Whoa” rapper started his rap career as a child. Being influenced by Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh, Ross credits for helping him develop his storytelling prowess.

In his early 20’s he would later start a rap group called the Schizophrenics. But trouble soon found the rapper. After serving a brief jail stint, he would align with Bad Boy Records. Before his breakout single, Ross would contribute verses to other artists on the label.

Additionally, Ross would release Life Story, which included the breakout single “Whoa.” The album would reach #3 on the Billboard charts and would go on certified platinum. He would also appear with Diddy on “Bad Boy For Life” in 2001. Which also did well on the charts.

Even though his debut album was a success, Ross could not achieve the same response from the second album, The Black Rob Report (2004). And before the release of his fourth and final album, Genuine Article (2015), Ross suffered from a stroke.

Overall this is very unfortunate. Let’s keep the family in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
