Pusha T Expresses Support For Ukraine On Social Media

Back in 2013, Pusha T released a track called “Numbers on the Board,” and the government of Ukraine has found a new meaning for it. Kanye West produced the song back in the day. The track itself is a sort of war anthem in its original form. Listen to the composition below.

On Wednesday, the ministry of defense in Ukraine sent out a tweet that would tag the rapper.

In the tweet, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine showed off some exciting Russian casualties numbers. They also used Pusha T’s lyric “I put numbers on the board” at the start of the tweet.

The ministry has broken down the Russian casualties in an elegant manner for everyone to see. The losses are each in their categories, like armored combat vehicles or tanks. The eliminated personnel numbers also show that more than 50610 Russian occupiers in Ukraine were, well, eliminated.

Additionally, Pusha T caught wind of this tweet and expressed support for Ukraine by saying, “Great taste in music for the win.”

Pusha T & His Future With Russia

With Pusha T expressing support for Ukraine, Russia will probably not be too happy with the rapper. Especially with the artist’s joyful interaction within the tweet and its contents. And especially considering Pusha’s recent lyrics on the “No Man Falls” feature with The Game.

“In my Ukraine, there’s no Russias,” Pusha T claimed in the track’s lyrics. “Kalashnikov, don’t piss me off. Walk down with the Special; turn your grizzly off.”

That being said, Pusha T is also not the first celebration to be blacklisted by the Russian government. Several American senators and actors have also been banned from entering Russia. Some of these bans happened this week because the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the banned senators and actors made “Russophobic” attacks.

50 Cent Trolls The Game After His Emmy Win

50 Cent is known for trolling others on social media; this time, the “Heat” star went after the former G-Unit artist, The Game.

Last night, Sep 3, 50 Cent took home an Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live). The outstanding performance in the Superbowl halftime show included himself, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and others.

On the same night, 50 threw some shade toward the Compton, Calif rapper via Instagram. In a now-deleted post, 50 Cent posted The Game with the caption “No caption needed” with some laughing emojis. Of course, this did not stop others from screenshotting the post and reposting it online, like the Twitter user below.

The Game caught wind of the small diss on Instagram and responded with a picture and caption of his own. He went to find a photo of 50 in an unbuttoned shirt with a loose tie and used the same caption.

As always, 50 had to have the last laugh, and he did it in a classic-50-Cent fashion. Once again, he went to Instagram to post a popular gif of himself laughing as he drives off in his car.

The caption to the post said, “Oh no [sad face emoji] I’m sorry you don’t get one [trophy emoji]. Then the first week 18k, if you need someone to talk to I’m here for you. LOL.” See the Instagram post below.

The Game’s Feelings Towards The Halftime Show & Its Performers

As some may remember, The Game felt like he should have performed in the halftime show instead of the others. The Game even went as far as to say he felt purposely snubbed from performing. He stated, “The real reason I wasn’t on the Super Bowl [halftime show] is because I am not a safe artist.”

Apparently, he felt hurt because he did not get a call since the entire show was seemingly about Los Angeles.

The Game has also been having some run-ins with Eminem; he released a ten-minute diss track against Em. There has been no official response from Eminem himself about it, though.

Kanye West Calls For Young Thug’s Freedom

Kanye West has called for the freedom of Young Thug, who is currently facing RICO charges with other YSL members. This news comes from DJ Akademiks via Instagram, where the DJ was apparently texting West when the topic came up. In the text, Kanye says, “We gotta get thug outta jail,” and Akademiks replies, “Just sent this to Kim.”

While his reply is whimsical and funny, many people in the comments agree with West. The RICO case that has been going on for several months now has seen Young Thug and others part of YSL labeled as criminals. The bottom of the text message exchange screenshot shows “Kanye West FREE YSL.”

See the full Instagram post below.

The Story of Young Thug & YSL

For those who do not know much about YSL or Young Thug’s RICO case, here is a quick summary of what has occurred. Firstly, Gunna and Young Thug went under arrest and couldn’t get out on bond. Secondly, 28 members of YSL faced conspiracy charges for allegedly violating RICO law.

The 56-count indictment claims that YSL participated in activities like murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft, carjacking, drug dealing, and witness intimidation. Something to keep in mind is that the indictment portrays Young Thug as a sort of mob boss.

Additionally, other YSL members faced charges of attempted murder concerning the stabbing of YFN Lucci. Criminal charges against rappers are nothing new, but the evidence this time makes these recent cases unique.

The artists’ own rap lyrics are also alleged evidence against themselves. Using rap lyrics in this way can be seen as a violation of freedom of speech. Of course, Kanye is not the only rapper to come out to support Young Thug, Gunna, and YSL.

Young Thug made a plea from jail, stating, “I always use my music as a form of artistic expression, and I see now that Black artists and rappers don’t have that freedom. Everybody, please sign the Protect Black Art petition and keep praying for us. I love you all.” See the full video of Young Thug below.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg Perform at VMAs 2022

Eminem and Snoop Dogg brought their unique styles to the 2022 VMAs and took fans to the metaverse during the performance! The iconic duo performed their song “From the D 2 the LBC” Sunday night, August 28, at the MTV VMAs. The entire performance seemed like a big marijuana-induced trip, but in the best way possible.

At the very start of the performance, we see both Eminem and Snoop Dogg sitting on a couch. Of course, Snoop is smoking a ridiculously sized joint, but the main highlight of the performance is when the two go into the metaverse. It’s a sight not many fans thought they would see, but it’s something everyone will remember. Bored Ape Yacht Club, an NFT collection, confirmed on its Twitter account that Snoop Dogg and Eminem performed “their new single featuring their Apes and @OutsideMeta.”

Eminem and Snoop Dogg’s “Joint” Performance

After the due became their ape selves, they hop onto the MTV logo and begin to do their thing. We saw the metaverse versions of Detroit, Michigan, Long Beach, California and the Prudential Center, where the 2022 VMAs took place. As soon as the two came down from their metaverse high, Slim Shady jokingly asked Snoop “This MTV?” Snoop would respond to him by saying “C’mon we got a show to do!” After this, it was all fun and games as the two finished out their performance, entertaining the crowd. As they performed, however, there were projections of their Ape characters surrounding the stage, along with rainbows and floating mushrooms. Somehow it was everything you would expect from a performance with Eminem and Snoop Dogg, but it was completely unexpected too.

“From the D 2 the LBC” was released back in June as part of Eminem’s second greatest hits album. It released as the second single to the album, “Curtain Call 2.” This collaborative performance between the two legendary rappers marks their first performance together at the VMAs since 1999. See their full performance below.

Cam’ron Speaks On Jay-Z And His History In Rap

Cam’ron appeared on the popular podcast Million Dollaz Worth Of Game and spoke on Jay-Z and his history in rap. The video dropped last Sunday, Aug 21, 2022, on Youtube, Spotify, and other platforms where you can listen to podcasts.

While also talking about his latest business ventures, Cam speaks about many things within the hour and forty-minute interview. Topics ranged from when Cam and Jay-Z ended their beef to why Cam’ron scrapped a verse from Jay-Z and remarkable Ma$e stories

A standout subject within the podcast is the topic of Jay-Z, or Hov, as Cam’ron refers to him, comes up. The beef between the two rappers and how they eventually squashed it. In a distant reality, Jay-Z appeared on Cam’ron’s classic song “Oh Boy.” Unfortunately, that did not happen in our time, but Cam revealed that Hov did spit a verse for one of his biggest songs.

Cam’ron & Jay-Z

Cam’ron stated, ” So Hov did a remix for “Oh Boy,” and I erased it.” Looking back on the situation, he clearly wishes he would have just vaulted the verse even if he never planned on ever using it. His reason for deleting the verse was very simple: “He erased my verse. I did a song for Peedi Crakk, and he erased my verse and threw it out, so I was like I’ma erase his verse.” Pettiness is to blame, and because of it, the world will never get to hear the lost verse from Jay-Z. However, Cam would take full responsibility “we ain’t gone find it nowhere,” adding, “I’m a very, very petty man.”

Another topic that comes up repeatedly is Cam’ron’s history in the rap game. Just hearing his stories can give you the impression that he’s been around the block. Many people who don’t know Cam’ron may not realize he has been in the game for over two decades. He has worked with giants in rap history like Biggie, is an actor, and even worked in movies. Watch the full interview below.

Boosie Badazz Performed For Police After Getting Pulled Over

Police pulled Boosie Badazz over again for speeding, but he did something nobody expected this time. Instead of yelling and screaming at the police like before, he began a surprise performance. The incident happened on Friday in Fulton County.

Police pulled Boosie Badazz over for evidently going over 73 miles an hour in a 53-mile-an-hour zone. Deputy Chief of Fairburn told TMZ that after the stop, police said they could smell weed, which prompted a car search. Something that Boosie Badazz is once again no stranger to. A few months ago, July 12, 2022, to be exact, the rapper was pulled over by police and had his car searched then as well.

This time, however, Badazz, in incredible frustration with the situation, did what anyone else would do—start rapping. He began performing his hit song “Set It Off,” a fitting piece since it starts with the rapper expressing his annoyance.

In the video, Badazz starts talking with a cop and offers him a new job. He even waves money around in the cop’s face. Of course, this was no small change. According to Badazz, though, this measly amount of 30 thousand dollars is “chump change. The money flying around or the employment benefits under Boosie’s wing did not excite the cop. Check out the full video below.

The Fallout of Boosie’s Performance

During the car search, however, the cops are said to have found a small amount of weed. Luckily though, they did not cite Badazz for it. Unfortunately, the Louisiana native would not get away completely free as the cops cited him for speeding and littering. At least with the 30 thousand dollars that he was waving around, he can quickly pay off those citations. Badazz expressed his thoughts on his latest run-in with the police, stating it is because he is “a successful black man today.”

Fat Joe To Star In “One-Man” Show

Fat Joe will be hitting the main stage in a completely different way. This time, he is stepping into the theater. In the fall, the artist is set to star in a one-person show which will follow his life and career.

The NYC-based show will be called “Vulnerable.” It will highlight the unimaginable highs and unfortunate lows of his career. Mike Tyson did a similar show that also followed his life.

Fat Joe also has the support of many of his celebrity friends, some of whom will be present at the show. For example, Comedian Dave Chappelle will present a special introduction. Additionally, Chris Robinson will direct the show. On top of that, Magic Lemonade and Roc Nation are co-producing the whole thing.

In a press release, Fat Joe stated, “I’m not holding anything back. I’ve always taken pride in my storytelling, but we’re about to take it to the next level. I’m grateful to Dave Chappelle, Roc Nation, and Magic Lemonade for their support in sharing my story and helping make this one-man show the biggest event ever.”

Joe’s family, friends, and closest collaborators will also give personal interviews about the Bronx legend.

Fat Joe is arguably one of the best storytellers to pick up a pad and pen. A long list of rappers considers Joe the best storyteller on and off the mic.

Fat Joe’s “Vulnerable” Show & Memoir Connection

As stated before, the one-person show will follow Fat Joe’s life and career and feature special appearances from other celebrities. As well as borrow autobiographical tales from the rapper’s upcoming memoir, “The Book of Jose.” Announced earlier this year, Joe’s memoir “will explore how Joe overcame the drug- and violence-scarred South Bronx of the 1980s to blossom into one of the pre-eminent powerhouses of his generation.” The memoir drops on Nov 15.

A$AP Rocky Pleads Not Guilty

A$AP Rocky was charged for allegedly shooting fellow A$AP Mob member and former friend A$AP Relli earlier this week. Now, Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, has appeared in a Los Angeles court for the alleged shooting. Mayers pleaded not guilty to the charges of shooting his former friend, A$AP Relli, on a Hollywood street last November.

According to Rolling Stone, Mayers appeared in court with his lawyer Sara L.Caplan, who entered the plea on his behalf. The only time that Rocky actually spoke was to confirm his next court date. His next scheduled court date is on Nov 2, 2022. However, the judge, Victoria Wilson, agreed to the protective order requested by prosecutors. This prevents Rocky from “possessing any firearms or ammunition and prohibits him from contacting or coming within 100 yards” from Relli.

Charges Against A$AP Rocky

Prosecutors charged the famous Harlem rapper with two counts of using a semi-automatic firearm to assault A$AP Relli, also known as Terrel Ephron. Relli’s lawyer, Tamal Tooson, was also in court, where a process server attempted to serve Mayers with a civil lawsuit.

According to the complaint issued by Ephron, Mayers asked to meet in a specific Hollywood location on Nov 6, 2021. Tooson and his co-counsel Brian Hurwitz spoke with Rolling Stone previously. They said, “unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron, A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversation and came armed with a semi-automatic handgun.”

In response to this action taken against Mayers, his lawyer asked the court if he would be able to travel for work. The judge stated that Mayers would have to “clear dates” with the court beforehand. Though the incident happened back in November, Mayers did not go under arrest for the incident until April. At the time, he was returning from Barbados with Rhiana, who was also pregnant. However, he was quickly released and posted bail to see his and Rhiana’s child born in May. Rocky remains free on a $550,000 bond but could face up to nine years in prison if convicted.

T.I. Allegedly Punched A Chainsmoker

T.I. allegedly punched The Chainsmoker’s member Andrew “Drew” Taggart in the face after he kissed the rapper on the cheek. Taggart explains the situation throughout the video uploaded to The Chainsmoker’s official TikTok page on Tuesday, August 16. The video begins with Taggart and fellow Chainsmoker Alexander “Alex” Pall posing for a picture with T.I. in a club. All of a sudden the video cuts to Taggart in a car with Alex and starts explaining the incident.

The video is a minute long and is titled “When meeting T.I. goes wrong”. The Grammy-winner explains he kissed the Atlanta native rapper because he was “feeling the vibes way too hard,” and admitted the punch was justified.  Like a lot of people, Alex can be heard laughing about the whole thing. Watch the full TikTok below.

@thechainsmokers

My bad T.I. won’t happen again… unless?

♬ original sound – The Chainsmokers

Basically, Taggart kissed the rapper without consent, but also admits that it was his fault. Finally, halfway through the video, Taggart states “First of all, T.I. is fully in the right here. I was feeling the vibes way too hard and I kissed T.I on the cheek. And he punched me in the face for it! It’s fully fine.”

Afterward, the two musicians are currently on good terms despite him getting punched in the face and the whole situation being incredibly awkward and weird, according to Taggart.

T.I. Moved On Quickly

T.I. has not responded to the video as of yet and seemingly has moved on from the whole matter. As a matter of fact, recently, he was awarded the Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award for his community service and philanthropic efforts in his hometown. He spoke at a ceremony at the Georgia State Capital stating “We will only be remembered by what we meant to our family, our children, and what we were able to do for others.” Another award that T.I. received is the Volunteer’s Achviement Lifetime on behalf of President Joe Biden. Which commemorates the rapper’s 4,000 hours of service to the United States.
