Lauren London Gives Speech While Nipsey Hussle Receives Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame!

On Monday, August 15th, the late rapper, Nipsey Hussle, received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lauren London, Nipsey’s beautiful wife and now widow, took the stand on this special day to honor and remember her late husband.

According to HipHop DX, On Wednesday, August 10th, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced a ceremony that will take place to celebrate Hussle, on what would have been his 37th birthday.

London spoke about her “visionary” life partner.

Lauren London started off her speech wishing her beloved husband a Happy Birthday. She continued to thank the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for acknowledging a visionary. Shining a light on Hussle’s greatness she says, “This moment only amplifies that for us.”

“He would want everyone to remember that you can’t get to what’s possible unless you commit to moving forward.” She, explains that people should never forget where they come from and that people should acknowledge the reality they were born into. She say’s with power you have to change that reality for the better. “When you’re in the city of angels and you see this star, I hope it encourages you to break away from whatever might be holding you back… Run your marathon until God says that it’s finished. Nip will forever live in our hearts.” She also explains how grateful she feels for the love and support the world has shown.

Honoring Nipsey Hussle

Nipsey’s star will sit alongside other rappers including Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, and DJ Khaled. The late rapper will also be remembered with his own bus station. The station will be located in Nipsey Hussle Square and serve the Hyde Park K Line. Including eight stops, the bus will route through some of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles and Inglewood. “From Slauson and all the way to Vernon, you will see world-class pieces of art, celebrating the history and the legacy of African American people,” Los Angeles Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson stated regarding the station. “Everybody who comes to L.A. and rides the train out of the airport is gonna see it.”
