Black Girls Code Team Up With Ciara For A New Challenge

Black Girls Code, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to empowering young girls through their STEM Initiatives. Their latest creative offering, the Build A Beat Challenge With Ciara, aims not only to encourage increased participation in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. It also aims to highlight the exceptional creative talents of young girls globally by combining music and coding.

What Is STEM

STEM, is an acronym for Science, Tech, Engineering, and Math. But it represents more than a set of initials; it embodies a systematic approach to learning. Pearson emphasizes it as a teaching philosophy integrating four disciplines into a unified program, delivering instruction in real-world applications and teaching methods. This is not an effort pursued in isolation. Many institutions and educational groups actively focus on advancing initiatives in these fields and addressing existing gaps, particularly in the context of the evolving industrial complex.

According to Pearson, roughly 71% of STEM careers are in computing, as per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The high demand for computing professionals is logical, given the increasing reliance on digital technology in various aspects of life.

Consequently, the emphasis on greater attention to STEM is not just a call for progress but a push for preparedness and a pathway to success.

What is Black Girls’ Code

Founded in 2011, Black Girls Code is a non-profit dedicated to engaging girls of color in computer programming education, nurturing their interest in tech. The organization achieves this goal through various methods, including partnerships with volunteers, schools, and other organizations. They have developed both virtual and in-person learning initiatives tailored for girls aged 7-25.

While the primary focus is on coding, the mission extends beyond. The organization’s efforts are driven by a passionate desire to equip the target demographic with the knowledge and confidence to realize their dreams.

The latest initiative, “Build A Beat Challenge with Ciara.” is part of the CodeAlong Program, a collaboration between Black Girls Code and GoldieBlox, a girl-power multimedia company. Furthermore, this marks the second collaborative effort between Black Girls Code and Infosys Foundation USA, demonstrating their commitment to creatively expanding their vision.

Details About The Build A Beat Challenge With Ciara

Infosys Foundation USA sponsors the Build A Beat Challenge, specifically targeting girls aged 13-18. The challenge encourages participants to showcase their creativity and coding skills by programming their own songs for a chance to meet Ciara. The contest, which starts on November 14 and concludes on December 31, 2023, will be judged by industry experts.  The panelists include MC Lyte, Crakg King (music producer/entrepreneur), BoykinZ (Tik Tok sensation), Bosko Kante (Artist/Producer), and James Cuthbert (Rock the Bells President).

This is a one-of-a-kind contest.  Not only does this opportunity offer tangible rewards, but a rewarding learning experience. Not to mention, the participants will develop a product they can be proud of. It’s an effort to create a rich educational opportunity, depth of learning, and inspire creativity, which Ciara supports. As the star notes

“I am proud to be supporting this initiative and empowering young people to take their passion for music and use it to develop technology skills that can give them a leg up in life.”

Additionally, Ciara is proud to collaborate with an organization whose goals closely align with those of her charitable organization, which she runs with her husband, Russell.

Further Info

If the Build a Beat Challenge with Ciara captures your attention, additional details are available here. For those aware of individuals who are intrigued by this distinctive experience, ongoing registration information is accessible here.

Future Takes Shots At Russell Wilson…Again

In a not so surprising turn of events, Future takes shots at Russell Wilson once again. Future, who shares a child with his ex, the talented Ciara, has once again thrown shade at her NFL husband on a new collab with Quavo.

Future Disses Wilson On New Single

Released on Friday, June 14, the Migos rapper’s fresh single, “Turn Yo Clic Up,” features an unexpected verse from none other than Future himself. And boy, does he take a shot at the Denver Broncos’ star quarterback.

With unapologetic audacity, Future spits out the line “fu*k Russell” while unabashedly boasting about his success on the field. It’s a classic case of rap bravado meets real-life drama. And we can’t help but grin at the rivalry that has been brewing between these two.

“Big dawg status, bill hopper,” Future proudly proclaims in his verse. Leaving us all wondering what exactly a “bill hopper” entails. Is it a reference to his financial prowess? Or perhaps it’s a subtle nod to his knack for billiards? Regardless, we’re intrigued.

And that’s not all – Future takes the opportunity to flex his shopping skills. Rapping about balling in someone’s mall for his brothers. Clearly, he knows how to treat his loved ones while rocking that Goyard bag and toting the Corduroy. Because when you’re Future, you don’t just walk around with any old bag – you bring the heat with you.

But what really caught our attention was the line that’s bound to stir up some controversy: “I got it out the field, fu*k Russell.” Now, we can’t be sure if this is a clever wordplay, suggesting that Future’s success came from his own endeavors on the field, or if he’s taking a swipe at Russell’s football career. Either way, it’s a bold move, and we can’t help but appreciate the audacity.

“Turn Yo Clic Up” is just a taste of what we can expect from Quavo’s upcoming solo album, Rocket Power. Set to drop soon, this album holds a special meaning for Quavo, as he dedicates it to his late nephew and fellow groupmate, TakeOff. It’s an emotional tribute, laced with bangers and surprises, including this unexpected Future and Russell Wilson showdown.

Listen to the track here:

While we eagerly anticipate the release of Rocket Power. We can’t help but revel in the witty banter between Future and Russell. It’s a playful back-and-forth that reminds us that even in the glitz and glam of the music industry, celebrities are just like us – indulging in some friendly teasing and rivalry.

So, buckle up and get ready for more fiery lines, clever wordplay, and unexpected disses. As long as Future has something to say, we’ll be here, popcorn in hand, enjoying the show.

“Here I Come” Rapper Lola Brooke Is Not Playing With The Mainstream Market

Brooklyn rapper Lola Brooke is coming for the mainstream market.

The artist’s single “Don’t Play With It” engulfed everyone’s TikTok timeline over the last few months. Most recently, she recruited Yung Miami of City Girls and Latto to hop on the remix at the end of last month.

Lola Brooke Joins Latto’s 777 Radio

Brooke also just stopped by Latto’s 777 radio to talk about the 2021 single, dating in the industry, and her background.

Lola Brooke told Latto she had a feeling that “Don’t Play With It” was “legit and hard,” but she didn’t know it would be a hit. She thought it would be a hit for the city, yet it went “global,” as the Southern rapper said.

Brooke said she didn’t feel any pressure from the song because it took two years for it to “pop.” The Brooklyn native released other music after she released the later-on hit.

Dating In The Music Industry?

When asked about dating someone in the music industry, the 718 princess sounded like she was leaning towards the idea of being in a relationship with another entertainer.

However, Brooke said she wondered if her significant other could compete with her. Lola also let it be known that she wants a rapper instead of a singer, jokingly solidifying it with lyrics from “Don’t Play With It.”

Lola told Latto that she is single and celebrities are in her DMs.

Where Did The Stage Name Come From?

The rapper also clarified where her stage name originated from. Lola was the “Looney Tunes” show character, Lola Bunny, and the Brooke part of the name came from the New York Borough, Brooklyn.

“Lola The Bunny,” because she was cute and like a tomboy, and Brooke because, as many know, Brooklyn is where she is from. The Arista signee gave us some of her background from New York, from taking the subway to keeping her circle tight to why her borough is the best. Big Gator and Latto were very playful, with great chemistry and many jokes in this episode.

Da Girls” (Remix) Featuring Lola Brooke and Lady London

Lola Brooke is taking the industry by storm, and you can hear her most recent mainstream hit, “Da Girls” (Remix). The song is originally just Ciara but the industry vet tags Brooke and incredible New York rapper Lady London.

Timbaland talks about Missy Elliot’s First Album In More Than Fifteen Years

Hit-maker Timbaland, birth name Timothy Zachery Mosley, is giving details on legendary artist Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot’s new album.

How Does The Album Sound?

Timbaland told Variety the songs for her new album are givin’ upbeat and youthful Missy Elliot.

Timbo stresses that he wanted the music to sound how they both look: young.

“We both look like we 19. I know how Missy works: It’s got to be new and fun — or maybe not so much new as kind of underground, and everything is upbeat,” said the record producer.

“Latin Feel” On A Few Songs

He added a “Latin feel” is present in some of the songs.

“Almost a Bad Bunny effect. Some of it’s kinda like underground Brazilian funk. People gonna eat it up — and it might reach just a different demographic of people. It’s like it’s her doing… not reggaeton but Missy-ton,” Timbaland mentioned in the interview.

The Virginia native hopes this new album will include features from Latin artists such as Bad Bunny and Young Miko.

Timbaland knows that Elliot’s influence is “Global.”

So, it looks like that is the sound he is reaching for with this new album.

We can expect this musical masterpiece as soon as this summer.

Mosley is collaborating not only with his longtime friend Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot but also with his good friend Justin Timberlake.

Their album is complete, but Timbo is waiting for Timberlake to determine the release date.

The Cookbook Was Missy Elliot’s Last Full Album, More Than 15 Years Ago

Missy Elliot has not released a full album in more than 15 years; her last was “The Cookbook.”

The 2005 album included “We Run This,” “Bad Man,” and the mega-hit “Lose Control” featuring Ciara. “Fat Man Scoop” also joined “The Cookbook.”

Missy Elliot’s Latest Music

She most recently released her 2019 EP, “Iconology.”

But you have heard Missy’s musical genius spreading throughout the industry lately in rapper BIA’s “I’m That B**ch,” which samples her 1999 “She’s a B**ch.”

Plus, Chlöe’s new album features Missy on “Told Ya.”

In addition, British girl group Flo’s single “Fly Girl” featuring the Virginia native. That song is mainly an interpolation of Missy’s 2002 “Work It.”

Hit-Boy reveals truth about the beat for Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Backseat Freestyle’

KENDRICK HAVE A DREAM!

We all know and love Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Backseat Freestyle’ as one of his most unique and fun tracks to date.  It turns out, Hit-Boy made this beat for a very different musical use.

Hit-Boy had actually given the beat to Ciara already, who was using it for an R&B track she titled ‘Hit-Boy.’  Naturally, the gifted producer was happy with the initial use, given the generous name drop in the title.  It’s very crazy to picture this beat being used for an R&B song instead of a hard rap.  Whether he says so or not, it looks like Hit-Boy subconsciously knew it as well.

Hit-Boy and Kendrick connected in Vegas to record for ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city.’  They belted out some tracks, but none of them made the final album.  Kendrick, unsatisfied, returned to Hit-Boy, saying, ‘I need some more beats.’  With that, the banging and clanging beat became what we now know as ‘Backseat Freestyle.’

Having given Ciara the beat, Hit-Boy had to choose.  After considering just how hard Kendrick “was spazzing for real on this shit,” he went and made the right choice.  While we’re sure Ciara’s recording was very solid, there’s no way it would have been as monumental as Kendrick’s recording.

Symptoms of King’s Disease

Shoutout to Hit-Boy for putting the interest of music over the glory of his own name drop.  This is among many reasons that he’s one of the best producers working right now.  He’s been owning the game for over a decade now.  He kickstarted with ‘Ni**as In Paris,’ making ‘Sicko Mode’ and ‘1Train’ along the way, and most recently, producing all of Nas’ Grammy-winning album, ‘King’s Disease.’  Truly one of the modern greats.

That’s definitely a fun piece of rap history right there.  Give ‘Backseat Freestyle’ a listen right here and spin it back when you’re done; you know you want to!

#CherryJuice: Future Speaks on Ciara and Russell Wilson’s Marriage

Future Comes at Russell Wilson’s Manhood

Future was on FREEBANDZ RADIO Presents: THE WIZRD show on Apple Music’s Beats on last week. He was speaking on his new album The WIZRD. The conversation shifted into Russell Wilson, who married Ciara- his ex. Future went on a rant about the Seahawks Quarterback. “He do exactly what she tell him to do,” Future stated. “He not being a man in that position,” He continues by stating that Russell Wilson isn’t doing anything to stop his wife on ranting on him.

The Internet is Split on Future vs the Wilsons.

Co-parenting is difficult between Ciara and Future. They sub and sue each other. Future claims he can’t see his son. One side of the online community paints Future as a bitter man that is hating on his ex doing better for herself. The toxic male chapter of Social Media slandered Russell Wilson for living by the happy wife, happy life philosophy. Others wondered on how women support Ciara on her rifts with Future, but be silent when Ciara drops music. Conspiracy theorists wondered if this was a ploy for record sales since Future was dropping an album.

The Future Press Run

Future dropped the first major project of 2019. He admitted to not drinking lean even though his music speaks on the substance heavily. Future also commented on the line from Jay-Z’s 4:44. According to Future, Hov and him spoke on the “In the future other n***** playing football with son” line. Future just wanted Hov to big up the rap community. He also came at Wendy Williams for using photos of all 5 of the mothers of Future’s children. Future was upset because they weren’t celebrities or entertainers.
