On an ordinary day in their vibrant neighborhood, they relish delightful moments with their friends. It’s a celebration of the boundless love that surrounds them, leaving us to wonder: Is this a reflection of the profound affection they share? And can their love truly shine through, even in the face of adversity?

Watch the music video for “Why We Don’t Vibe” below!

The Art Of Love: Balancing Different Tempos

Love is a tale as old as time, where one soul is eagerly waving the “Let’s settle down!” flag while the other is doing a twirl under the “Not ready to commit” banner. It’s like two people trying to do a wild, random dance move—one wants a slow waltz while the other craves the electric hustle and bustle of a nightclub.

But therein lies the magic of love, doesn’t it? This is a beautiful, chaotic, and often confused collision of emotions. It’s the art of compromise and patience, where one learns to wait while the other discovers the value of slowing down. It’s the hectic and unpredictable adventure of finding common ground in the vast landscape of romance. As we navigate the thrilling maze of love, remember that it’s okay to have different tempos in your heart’s symphony. After all, it’s those differences that make love’s journey so special.

Although Yalo and Nelia have very different perspectives on what settling down with a partner involves, this song sheds light on what couples actually undergo. Yet, despite these trying times, love remains between both parties.

“Why Don’t We Vibe,” is out now on all streaming platforms.

FM Spotlight: “In The Crowd” By So Gaudy

So Gaudy’s new single, “In the Crowd,” is an energized banger. It’s full of autotune and repetitive lines, such as, surprisingly enough, “jumping in the crowd.”

While a perfect instrumental for moshing, the song’s beat also creates a somewhat anxious aura. It makes sense, considering that the song was produced by 44youmadethis, who sought fame while working with 21 Savage, known, apart from his 12-car garage, for the brutal songs with chilling storytelling.

So Gaudy’s lyrics, however, are not so intimidating. “In the Crowd” is more of an illegal party anthem with “police kick[ing] the door” and the artist himself “be[ing] on [his] game.”

The synthesis of the lyrics and the instrumental creates an interesting effect. If one heard only the song’s lyrics, one would probably consider it a typical party banger. At the same time, only hearing the beat will probably make one think the song is about something much harsher.

Consequentially, there is a balance, which makes the track sound exciting and unusual. With the balance also comes the double bottom that adds up to the effect.

The experiment seemingly worked out. In the synthesis created, while listening to the song, one can imagine themselves being at an illegal party instead of a basic party.

So Gaudy

So Gaudy is a rising star from Las Vegas. After suffering a terrible car accident, not only he got back on his feet after the doctors told the artist he would not be able to walk again. So Gaudy also launched his career, releasing many songs this past year.

So Gaudy is also an entrepreneur. He relatively recently opened his Get Right Entertainment music studio.

In The Crowd By So Gaudy
So Gaudi, receiving a money call.

Gaudy follows specific rules to keep up with his many responsibilities. “Work hard, stay consistent, never give up,” the artist advised in an interview with FMHipHop. “Don’t listen to the doubters.”

“Canada”

Apart from “In the Crowd,” So Gaudy recently released his “Canada” music video with PesoPeso. In the clip, both artists are enjoying themselves in a red-colored room. So Gaudy also described “Canada” as “a feel-good track for female hustlers out there working hard to get their money.”

FM Spotlight: Demi Grace — “I’m Okay”

Demi Grace’s or Grace Abidemi Ayonde’s “I’m Okay” is one of the most fluid representations of Grace’s essence. It’s a beautiful and moving piece that speaks of self-love, self-empowerment, and living in a moment of acceptance and owning that. Such is everything Grace stands for.

Breakdown Of Demi Grace’s Feature: “I’m Okay”

“I’m Okay” is a 2022 release featured on the “Blackcurrant” Album. A companion video was released three weeks ago, and it’s as refreshing as the track.

“I’m Okay” is a smooth, melodic, soulful ballad. The vibe is flowy but buoyed by a solid rhythmic pattern. The snare punctuates with its steady rhythmic cadence adding to the sense of ebb and flow of the lyric. The hook is solid and wraps tightly around the verses. It serves to emphasize the story Grace tells.

“I’m okay where I’m at.

I know I move different, and that’s okay.

I know I’m just different, and that’s okay.

It might hurt your feelings, and that’s okay; I’m okay where I’m at!”

“I’m Okay” Overall Review

Lyrically, this song is a piece about finding peace by choice. It’s about removing oneself from the expected path, standing in one’s power, moving to one’s rhythm, and standing firm despite what others take away. This piece is the signature of Demi Grace. Her bio notes,

“She ultimately aspires to promote positivity, confidence, and diversity throughout her career in the entertainment industry.”

“I’m Okay” is an anthem encouraging others to be confident and self-assured in finding themselves. As Demi proclaims through song, she’s,

Constantly seeking, constantly searching, constantly redefining [her] life. And I [she] needs some time to breath

Ultimately in “Im Okay,” Grace comes to terms with what she needs. She readily accepts that she is different, moves, and chooses differently. But that’s okay.

On Demi Grace

Grace is an artist whose star is rising. She is a rare nebula in the universe as, from the beginning; she has forged her way via a path of authenticity. Genuineness and acceptance of who Demi is are flowing through her pores, so they will inevitably pour out through her art.

Grace collaborated with other talented artists in the industry, such as Beyonce, Akon, Flo-Rida, Solange, and Taio Cruz. Her works have been featured across various mediums across the entertainment industry. She has worked her magic as a stand-out personality, whether it be through singing, songwriting, modeling, or producing. She is blazing a trail.

In Conclusion

“I’m Okay” is the truth and a gorgeous and moving piece reflective of who Grace is intrinsic. So, if you still need to peep it, listen.

FM Spotlight: So Gaudy And Peso Peso Met On “Canada”

The new So Gaudy’s and Peso Peso’s “Canada” music video is a three-minute-long clip with the two artists enjoying themselves in what appears to be an art installation or a VIP zone in a strip club.

In the video, So Gaudy and Peso Peso mix unidentified purple substances with Sprite, hang out with many people and overall seem to be enjoying themselves. The colors of the video are primarily red, which adds to the feeling of overall festivity.

So Gaudy explained that “”Canada” is a feel-good track for female hustlers out there working hard to get their money.” While not necessarily sounding like a traditional anthem, “Canada” appears to be very upbeat. It will definitely set one in an energized mood, regardless of their professional occupation.

Throughout the video, various pictograms appear, and other effects take place. One can see the dollar signs on the cover of the video, while more lights with various forms also appear in the “Canada” music video itself.

So Gaudy’s Story

So Gaudy is an uprising artist who also suffered a terrible car accident. The doctors told the artist he would never be able to walk again.

However, So Gaudy managed to trick the doctors and eventually completely get back on his feet.

“I was in recovery, and the only thing I could think of was going harder, not letting anything discourage me, and just knowing that things would get back to normal,” So Gaudy explained earlier in an interview for FMHipHop. “I didn’t have no surgery, and I didn’t have no fusions, no. None of that. Because all that stuff is what makes you, what makes you [need to] get even more [surgeries and fusions].”

The artist also recently released the “Oh Well” music video. In the clip, So Gaudy is simply enjoying life in various locations, including a house, a street, and a private airplane.

Many sources of inspiration are available to aspiring rappers currently making their way in the industry, such as Apollo Liberace. His recent releases include the singles “Love For Rap” and “Love From You,” as well as his self-titled album Apollo Liberace and music videos for both singles.

Following the release of his latest album and singles, there has been a noticeable increase in his online engagement. Each of his singles, “Love For Rap” and “Love From You,” generated over 30,000 views on YouTube, while his self-titled album Apollo Liberace gained over 560,000 streams on Spotify. These impressive numbers demonstrate the impact of Apollo Liberace’s music on his audience and show the growing fanbase he is building through his hard work and dedication to his craft.

The Benefits Of Running Your Own Independent Record Label

Apollo was previously part of the hip-hop group Minus Gravity, which was signed to Capitol Records in 2019. However, he has since decided to embark on a solo career and has transformed Minus Gravity into an independent record label.

As an independent label, Apollo will have more creative control over his music and the ability to release it on his own terms, without the restrictions and obligations of a major record label. This move also allows him to discover and promote other up-and-coming artists, giving them a platform to share their music with the world.

Exploring The Themes Of Apollo Liberace’s Latest Album

Releasing his self-titled LP, Apollo Liberace, on his birthday, February 27, the Maryland native embarks on a new journey as a solo artist. Through singles like “Love For Rap” and “Love From You,” listeners can gain insight into the album’s overall sound and style.

The Artistry Of “Love For Rap”: A Deeper Look At The Single

Apollo shares in songs such as “Love For Rap” that “This song encompasses the moods and emotions felt in a very pivotal moment of my life after having been signed to a major record label, and the business models used to control young artists.” His goal is to avoid the pitfalls of music politics while staying true to his process and passion for creating music.

As one of the tracks on his album, Apollo intends to highlight his distinctive talent for blending melodic sounds with socially conscious rap lyrics. Specifically, he addresses themes such as drug use and violence within the black community, the ongoing issue of gun violence and systemic racism, the impact of greed, and the urgent need to move away from a societal model that idolizes material possessions.

One should definitely keep an eye on the “On Ice” rapper, as he has a unique style that sets him apart from the typical rapper. Despite his unconventional approach, Apollo possesses the lyrical cadence to rival some of this era’s most prominent conscious and freestyle hip-hop artists. In a music industry where social media commercialization and clout chasing have become pervasive, Apollo defies these trends through his album. As a multifaceted artist, he can produce music that caters to the culture and progressive thinkers, challenging stereotypes and breaking new ground in the genre.

The Evolution Of Apollo Liberace: A Tale Of Music And Growth

Born on February 27 in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Apollo Liberace started his music career in the South, drawing inspiration from various music genres, including Rock, R&B, and Hip-Hop, from all regions of the United States. From an early age, he showed promise as a musician, starting with his involvement in church choirs and youth camps before eventually transitioning to performing at nightclubs and larger venues.

Initially, Apollo began his music career as a member of a trio based in San Antonio, TX, known as Minus Gravity. Since then, he decided to pursue a solo career and now performs under the name Apollo Liberace.

New Single “Not Ready” By Tru Frass ft. BigHomieKayden (Listen)

Brooklyn rapper Tru Frass delivers a powerful song once again. In addition to releasing his second single of the year, “Not Ready,” featuring BigHomieKayden, this new track will captivate many fans.

Artists often feel excited, anxious, and even scared when releasing a new track. They hope it will be well-received and look forward to seeing how people react to it. They also can’t help but feel a bit of pressure, knowing that this single will be judged harshly and compared to their previous work.

However, releasing new singles is an excellent opportunity for artists to gain exposure and increase their following. Also, it is a perfect way to spread messages and stimulate discussion around the ideas and themes they address in their songs.

“Not Ready” displays the versatility and authenticity of Tru Frass as he spits catchy bars throughout the song, giving the listener a taste of The Bronx. With his smooth vocals and melodic singing, BighomieKayden adds depth and texture to this song, which contrasts nicely with Tru Frass’ hard-hitting bars.

Aside from bringing an additional layer of energy to the song, Kayden’s vocals create an infectious atmosphere.

“Not Ready:” Can Melodic Singing Enhance Rap Music?

Using melodic singing in rap songs has the benefit of helping to create complex rhythms and hooks that will remain in the listener’s mind. In rap songs, melodic singing adds an emotional element that allows it to convey subtle messages and feelings that would otherwise be impossible to convey with just spoken words.

It also serves as a counterpoint to the more aggressive lyrics, enhancing the song’s dynamic quality. For example, the chorus of the classic rap song “Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang consists of a melodic hook sung by a female vocalist, which provides a striking contrast to the rapping of the verses.

You can stream “Not Ready” and Tru Frass’ other single, “Karma,” below:

FM Spotlight: Demi Grace Drops Music Video For The New “Grace” Single

Demi Grace isn’t missing a beat since her May drop. The R&B songstress released her music video for “Stay” this Wednesday (Feb 15).

Demi Grace Wants You to “Stay”

The video continues a story thread created in Demi Clinge’s previous video for “Clingy.” The scene is set with Demi’s male costar sneaking out of bed, leading to the “Calling Me’ singer somberly reflecting on last night.

This follows a notable trend of artists, particularly female artists, using their consecutive music videos as a larger-spanning storytelling medium. It is a technique that lends itself to R&B music, which often relies on the real-life experiences and stories of the artist singing on the record. Demi Grace is taking the term “visuals” to a different level with her music videos, and more is yet to come.

“Can you just stay (4x)

I looked on the other side, and let me tell you

I saw nothing greener

…You been living life, and I live mine but

I see your demeanor.”

If you’re feeling a bit moody and down about love, “Stay” is the perfect single for you.

The Discography

“Stay” joins “Clingy,” “Alarm,” “Come Closer,” and “Calling Me” as Demi’s singles with an accompanying music video. Her newest album, “Blackcurrant,” also produced by Itstragicbaby, is a clever blend of classic RnB with some afrobeat notes. This is courtesy of Demi’s Nigerian British background, allowing her to easily navigate both genres.

Grace, also known as Grace Abidemi Ayorinde, is no stranger to the visual medium. Aside from her work as a recording artist, she also has experience with professional modeling. From Make Up Forever to Digicel, Grace’s face has represented several major brands. She even made history in 2017 by becoming the first model to represent Pantene with locs. However, that’s not the only time Demi Grace has been a trailblazer.

In addition to the Pantene feat, Demi became the first artist to sign to the Nigerian branch of Universal Music Group in 2017.

“Stay” and the other 9 tracks on “Blackcurrant” are now also available on all streaming services!

FM Spotlight: Zelly Ocho And His Vivid Music Style

If you had to describe Zelly Ocho’s music style in one word, it would probably be “easy-going.” Zelly’s over-the-top autotune, minimalistic instrumentals, and trippy music videos create an overall colorful vibe, which one can also see in the “Duces” music video.

“Duces”

“Duces” came out a couple of months ago.

In the video, Zelly Ocho smokes on top of the car, hangs out near sculptures and hotel entrances, and seems to enjoy life in a moment overall. Various visual effects only add up, helping one to feel the mood of the whole composition.

What’s particularly interesting about the colorfulness of “Duces” is that the clip takes place at night. Still, it doesn’t make the composition any blank, presenting a vivid picture of Zelly Ocho’s surroundings.

The song itself talks about Zelly Ocho’s plans, lifestyle, and successes

“Yeah, I’m tryna do a show, show, show

If I talk, that’s a check, for sure.”

Zelly also mentions his “very loyal and determined” motto, something the artist and his movement stand for.

“I’m not famous; I’m VLAD.”

“On The Radar”

Another excellent example of Zelly Ocho’s music is his “On The Radar” freestyle.

Also very positive and artistic, the track describes Zelly’s successful and crazy life with its positives and negatives.

“Yeah, we counting that money like literally.

Geeked up, fucked up my memory

I remember they remember me

Money got long like a centipede

I’m at the trap rocking Givenchy, yeah, yeah.”

What’s particularly interesting is that Zelly describes the negatives of his lifestyle, such as “fucking up” memory due to “geeking” too much, but still does it playfully.

In Conclusion

Zelly Ocho has an exciting music style. It creates a certain mood, giving the listener a vivid picture of the composition. This mood especially works with music videos, allowing one to picture a little song’s universe in the head.

Overall, Zelly Ocho is an artist one should pay attention to. His imaginative music style is engaging, while the easy-going songs will significantly add to your everyday playlist.

#FMSpotlight: Kai Ca$h ft. Capella Grey-Round & Round

Up and coming New York artist Kai Ca$h just dropped a video to his hit “Round & Round” featuring Capella Grey.  He released the Dizzy Banko produced single in October of last year.  Kai Ca$h is giving us a sound we haven’t heard in quite some time.  “Round & Round” is reminiscent of R&B tracks in the early 2000s.  A feel-good song, Kai nails the verses as Capella Grey elevates the song with his hook.

Round & Round

The Brooklyn native wants to continue to make songs like “Round & Round” throughout his career.  He says he came up with the idea of the song while listening to the original version.

“The thought of Round and Round came to me one night listening to the original song produced by Hi-Tek.  I hit Dizz up and got in the lab to put it together asap!  I wanted to keep the ball rolling on this Hip-Hop and R&B vibe I have going…my intent is to make Hip-Hop music feel good again.”

Just like the songs says, in the music video you can see Kai Ca$h going through it with his lady, but it never lasts for long.  Although they fuss and fight, they both ultimately come together to make up, but that doesn’t last long either.  It’s like a never-ending cycle as they keep going around and around.

Up Next

Since 2021, Kai Ca$h has been on a run.  He dropped his album, 711, in January of 2021 that featured seven tracks.  He followed up 711 with the deluxe in July adding five more songs, featuring the popular song “Helen Keller” with CEO Trayle.  In 2022, Kai Ca$h released the follow up to his deluxe version of 711 with 711 Anniver$Ary.  The 17-track album is home to his most streamed song on Spotify, “The West” featuring 03 Greedo and King Combs.  It has hit over 5 million streams!

To start this year off, the Brooklyn artist has a feature verse on “By My Side” by Nieman.

Check out the “Round & Round” video below.
