Kanye West Reports Paparazzi to Police After Heated Argument

Kanye West has had yet another tense and chaotic run in with the press, now the law is continuing to get involved.

According to a TMZ report, West arrived at Los Angeles County Sheriff’s West Hollywood Station on Tuesday (Feb 14). Sources connected to LA Law enforcement say Kanye was speaking to deputies regarding a verbal argument he had with paparazzi.

The former Adidas mogul told authorities he asked paparazzi to stop recording him earlier that day. Apparently, this was ignored and an argument broke out. While things nearly turned into physical violence , the two were able to diffuse the situation. The LA West Hollywood sheriff is currently investigating the altercation.

Kanyes Zero Tolerance Policy

This is another addition to Kanye’s recent issues with paparazzi. Last month, he was named as a suspect in a criminal investigation after he was filmed arguing with a woman caught recording him from her car.

“If I wanna go see my son at a game, y’all ain’t gonna run up on me like that. If I say stop – stop with your cameras,” Kanye asserted before taking the phone and tossing it into the street.

Ventura County police quickly made their way to the scene, using the video taken from the passenger seats perspective as proof.

That same day, Kanye had a second disagreement, this time with a fan. The Donda artist pulled up next to the unnamed man and demanded he stop taking pictures of him and his kids.

“Would you want me to be running up on your kids’ games like that? I wanna just see my kids,” he argued. “Everybody gotta stop when I see my kids. I don’t care how many of you there are. You wanna hear what I want you to do? I need to see my kids without you photographing me. It’s called human rights.”

For now , no arrests have been made in connection to any of these incidents.

Jay-Z once said “And the winner is… HOV.” Well, the winner might actually be us if he actually performs at the Grammys. Reportedly he is returning to the stage this year. This will be his first award show performance in years, since we don’t really see him perform often as it is.

Beyonce’s Performed In Dubai, But May Not Perform At Grammys

This rumor circulates after his wife, the legendary Beyoncé, had her first performance since 2018. She not only sang but blessed the stage in Dubai for the hotel grand opening of ‘Atlantis The Royal.’ Although Queen Bey did receive some backlash from fans.

There is no talk of Beyoncé performing yet at the award show, even though 2022 Renaissance has nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance/Electronic Recording. 

Jay-Z Nominations For 65th Grammys

Together the power couple has over a dozen nominations this year. Jay-Z and Kanye West are tied for most Grammy wins by a hip-hop artist ever, as of last year. This year the New York-raised billionaire is nominated for Song of The Year, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for Dj Khaled’s song “God Did,” which he is featured on.

HOV’s Rap Verse On God Did

HOV’s alleged performance will take place at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles. It seems that it will be during DJ Khaled’s set for Jay’s about four-minute verse on “God Did.” Many preaching it was his best verse to date, and according to his long-time engineer Young Guru it was recorded in one take.

Other Possible Performers

Supposedly Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Dave Grohl and Brandi Carlile will be performing as well. However, the verdict is still out for big nominees like Bey, Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift.

Elon Musk Displeased With Ye’s Latest Tweets

Elon Musk and rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, easily attract more attention than anyone else in 2022. Even heads of the state attract less notoriety than the two polarizing figures. Nevertheless, both figures received negative attention.

Musk found detractors aiming at his head for his business decisions regarding Twitter, although just as many voraciously defended the mogul’s practices. Ye’s negative publicity received far less public support. Ye continued down an anti-Semitic spiral that ended with the famed rapper and producer posting disturbing Nazi-esque images on his Twitter. The posting then resulted in an immediate ban.

The Symbols Origin

West posted the image shortly after a maligned interview with Alex Jones. During which West praised Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. The picture, which featured a Star of David embedded with a Swastika, obviously caused much controversy. 

However, the image finds its roots in a cult from the 1970s called Raëlism. The cult started during an oft-forgotten period during the 1970s in which numerous cults were dedicated to worshipping UFOs and their extraterrestrial occupants.

It remains to be seen if Ye identifies with the cult. The rapper seemingly intended to use the symbol due to its controversial nature. The Raëlism movement frequently denies any association with Nazism or Judaism and their sign. 

Whatever Ye’s motivation was for posting the symbol, it turned heads and angered many, Elon Musk included. Musk quickly banned Ye’s account for posting the emblem. The profile still remains suspended. Many view the incident as a test of Musk’s recent freedom of speech policies on the site.

Musk’s Response

Musk held a Q&A session in which he elaborated on his actions. When asked if the rapper’s latest tweet violated the incitement toward violence, Musk responded somewhat jokingly. “I personally wanted to punch Kanye,” he stated. “So that was definitely inciting me towards violence.” However, he later claimed that posting swastikas in an “obviously not good manner” counted as incitement.

It remains unclear whether West’s account will come back or what consequences he may face. Musk’s ownership of Twitter is vocally more in support of free speech.

However, Ye is still pushing boundaries. Both men keep drawing public fascination for better or worse, so it is doubtful this story found a conclusion.

Akon Defends Ye After The Presidential Candidate’s Pro-Hitler Rant

Surprisingly, Akon is defending Ye after an extraordinarily controversial and antisemitic week. Kanye West has been in the spotlight lately for some touchy remarks regarding Adolph Hitler and the Holocaust. 

During Alex Jones’ Infowars appearance, West claimed that “every human being has value…they brought to the table, especially Hitler.” Ye also claimed to “see good things about Hitler.” 

This rhetoric is highly dangerous, even to right-wing Alex Jones, who was caught off guard by West’s words. It appeared even Ye’s most loyal fans did not appreciate his views this week. 

However, some stand up for Ye, regardless of his new hobbies. 

Akon Gives Benefit Of The Doubt

The “Smack That” artist Akon came to Kanye’s defense this past Friday (Dec 2). While appearing on an episode of Sky News, the West African rapper answered questions about Kanye’s views on Hitler. 

“I think the moment we get to the place where we close our minds up to other people’s opinion, it kind of doesn’t allow us to get to better know each other better know our mindsets and more than anything better know our movements,” Akon replied. “I think sometimes we should open up our minds and let things play all the way out and better understand the situation, so we have a better solution for it.”

Zero Tolerance For Hate

While defending Ye, Akon also clarified that he disagrees with the “Flashing Lights” rappers’ views but would be open to a discussion. 

Many didn’t approve of Akon’s reasoning for maintaining support for Kanye. “Not really because those comments don’t really affect me personally,” the “I Wanna Love You” artist responded when asked if the antisemitic comments bothered him. “And if it does affect you personally, then find a way to actually respond in a way to where that conversation can be reciprocated.”

“Because I think sometimes when someone is offended, they just lash out in defense or lash out to make that person feel that same offense that they felt,” Akon went on. “I think when you take negative, and you applied the response negatively back, you only get negative back.”

“Don’t take things too personally until you really understand the situation,” the artist finished.

Social media reacted quickly to Akon’s opinion, swiftly condemning the artist for not standing up against hate speech. “Bro, he f—— praised Hitler and threatened Jewish people. We know the situation,” one Twitter user quipped.

On a More Positive Note

The unexpected excuses for Kanye come at a notably positive era in Akon’s career. Starting off as a hip-hop singer/rapper in the early 2000s, Akon has pivoted in recent years to philanthropy in Africa. His prolific non-profit project Akon Lighting Africa was founded with Samba Bathily and Thione Niang in 2014 and aims to provide basic electricity to small towns throughout Africa using solar power. By using energy from the sun, Akon has helped massively with increasing street lights and electrical infrastructure in his home country of Senegal. In addition to Senegal, Akon Lighting Africa is currently operating in Mali, Niger, and Sierra Leone.

Truly, Akon is a part of a small minority; celebs are notably quiet in the wake of Kanye’s pro-Hitler comments. It might just be the final nail in the coffin of Ye’s career.

Elon Musk’s purchase of the social media company Twitter continues to make headlines following the immediate aftermath. Much talk centered around the new potential policies Musk allegedly wants to implement. 

Despite the many hypotheticals, much remains unknown about this new management system. The unknowns even extend to who funded Musk’s purchase. No purchase of a multibillion-dollar entity like Twitter is a cut-and-dry transaction. 

Musk received investments from wealthy individuals. Names the public does not know. Some info floated around, but little confirmation was given. Until recently, when rapper, producer, and mogul Diddy revealed his investment in Musk’s Twitter purchase.

Diddy’s Investment

The rapper unveiled that he had invested 10 million dollars into Musk to make the purchase happen. Diddy’s amount serves as a drop in the bucket of the overall 44 billion dollar total. Other alleged investors include Wallstreet Banks and even world leaders. 

However, confirmation of that remains dubious. Diddy’s contribution appears minuscule and, to some, worthless. 

Regardless, the business-savvy mogul’s move fits into his typical model quite neatly. Diddy frequently invests in wide-ranging businesses, from music to fashion to cuisine and drink. He finds it helpful to always have a seat at the table. 

Apparently, Diddy finds it a good idea to be present at discussions among important people, even if no one asks his opinion. Simply being in attendance allegedly gives Diddy an opportunity to understand the ins and outs of essential decisions before most of the public. It allows the artist to access the information before almost anybody else, thus ensuring he can avoid being caught off-guard by any significant shake-ups in various industries.

The effect allows Diddy to make financial and investment calls with the most current information and ensure his continued business success. 

Indeed, having a seat in the new era of Twitter will allow Diddy to expand his already sizable business portfolio. With the mogul’s help, Musk promises a new age of social media under his ownership.

Elon Musk Claims A New Era For Twitter, Says “Comedy Is Now Legal” On The Social Network

After months of negotiations fraught with drama and hardship, Elon Musk officially became the new owner of social media giant Twitter. The business mogul wasted no time cleaning the house. 

Musk already announced the termination of CEO Parag Agrawal. Also, let go included the company’s CFO, Ned Segal. The high-profile firing made apparent that Musk intends to shake up the company from day one. 

I find drastic actions such as these understandable; after all, Elon Musk paid the monumental $44 billion to own Twitter. The businessman’s shakeups also align with his previously stated beliefs.

Musk’s Sweeping Changes

The new management rebuked Twitter in the recent past. Most commonly, Musk’s issues involved the company’s censorship policies. 

Most notably, the mogul took umbrage with the banning of former President Donald Trump. Elon Musk found blocking an elected official from a prominent place of social engagement frightening. 

Musk also frequently cited Twitter, and other sites like it, as the new American town square. In effect, the place where ideas are to be shared freely and openly. The SpaceX founder views banning anyone from the square as a dangerous step towards a groupthink mentality. 

Likewise, Musk also found disdain for the cancel culture around all social media, particularly Twitter. This disdain shows by Musk tweeting, “the bird is freed.” 

Another tweet that “comedy is now legal” on the site possibly indicates a massive shakeup for policies on Twitter. However, as of now, no changes have occurred in Twitter’s moderation policies. According to Musk, “a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints” is to form before the bird is fully free to go. 

 

The European Commissioner for Internal Market, Thierry Breton, also stated that “the bird will fly by our rules” in Europe.

The Future Of Twitter Under Musk

Musk also attempted to assuage detractors who claimed his Twitter would devolve into chaos. He explained his view that Twitter could not evolve into a “hellscape” in which anything and everything was allowed. How he means striking this delicate balance between free speech and censorship is unknown. However, Elon Musk indeed represents a bold new era for the company. A definitive shift took place for Twitter recently. While it may have both avid supporters and detractors, the only conclusion that can be made now is that exciting things are on the horizon for all involved.

Resellers Expect Big Returns On Yeezy Brand After Controversy

Following the immense backlash from anti-Semitic tweets and interviews, individuals and businesses began to cut ties with Ye. Significant brands like Adidas, Spotify, and former collaborators, took to social media to denounce the rapper and producer.

50 Cent gave an interview in which he declared that Ye’s career is “a wrap.” His indication that Ye’s career is over rings slightly petty. Some may recall their short beef from 2007 over which artist’s album was able to sell more.

Even still, his comments highlight the belief that many feel Kanye’s once prosperous career is headed. Detractors view this controversy as the one that will end Ye’s time in the limelight.

Ye’s Abandonment

However, the business deals are more damaging than shots from other contemporaries, directly affecting Ye’s bottom dollar. Thankfully for Kanye, the Spotify CEO, Daniel Ek, stopped short of cutting ties with the rapper. Despite harsh condemnations about the comments, Ek confirmed Ye’s music would be available for streaming.

Likewise, Adidas, partners with Ye on his Yeezy line of products, announced the termination of their contract. The announcement came on October 25th, after mounting pressure by detractors for the company to cut ties with Ye and condemn the tweets. Adidas acted on both counts.

Recipe For Collector Items

The sudden termination of the contract pleased some, while others viewed it as a beautiful business opportunity. Ye always benefitted from a devoted fanbase, which still proved true. As a result, many online resellers are expecting big profits from Yeezy products. Now that Yeezy branded items will no longer remain in production it is expected they will gain a collector’s item status. Large online resellers are hoping to bank on this outcome in hopes of huge gains. 

A similar event befell Kobe shoes after Nike and Bryant’s widow could not agree on a new deal. The result was a cease in production leading to high prices for Kobe’s on the aftermarket. With the rapid termination of the Yeezy deal coupled with Kanye’s still ravenous fanbase it certainly seems like a solid bet.

It remains to be seen if such a trend will truly come about. However, history shows that in cases such as this Yeezy products may soon fetch huge prices on the aftermarket. Perhaps owners should be on the lookout for potential profit off of their old Yeezys just in case.

The tumultuous divorce between Kanye West and Kim K is slowly coming to an unceremonious end, but neither celeb is out of the woods just yet.

End of the Road

According to legal documentation from The Blast, Kanye West is getting the final things in order before the divorce. This comes after months of social media jabs and public spats between the two stars.

Kanye has filed a declaration of disclosure, meaning that both ex-spouses have claimed their individual assets and liabilities. Usually, this step comes mere days before a final judgment appears and the divorce is final. This is a relief for Kim. She’s been publicly dating since announcing her split with West, despite his harassment and clear disapproval.

In addition, the disclosure declaration proves Kanye has sent all of his financial info to Kim, and they’ve reached a compromise on splitting assets.

Kanye Persists

While money and property seem to be taken care of, the custody of the four West children hangs in the air. The affairs of Saint, North, Chicago, and Psalm have been one of the former couple’s most significant points of contention since the breakup. If you remember, the pair couldn’t even pull off a birthday party without an Instagram blowout back in January. In an unexpected incident, Ye accused Kim of “kidnapping” his daughter and barring him from her event. 

Months later, the duo came to blows over North’s access to TikTok. The 9-year-old also grew an affinity for gothic makeup and clothing, which her dad intensely disliked. “I am her father, and I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family [but] I said I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney. I have a say so.” The 41-year-old said in a video posted to Instagram in March.

The latest trouble is the children’s schooling. It’s no secret Kanye has been developing his own “Donda” school, and he’s demanding his own kids attend. While Kim hasn’t spoken out on the matter, it appears Ye is standing firm on his choice. He recently hired famed celebrity divorce lawyer Robert Stephan Cohen, representing Chris Rock and Melinda Gates. With Cohen’s impressive track record, Ye might have a fighting chance.

Still, with Kanye’s unpredictable behavior in recent months, it’s sure to be a brutal custody battle ahead.

Elon Musk Concerned With Ye’s Latest Tweets

Few public figures capture America’s attention more than Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and Elon Musk. Over the past several months the media has been filled with news concerning the activities of both men. Musk and Ye have gained both ardent supporters and detractors while ensuring everyone talked about their latest exploits. Most recently, Ye found himself at the center of attention after wearing a shirt that read, “WHITE LIVES MATTER” on the back. Following this, he gave an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson during which he defended his choice to wear the shirt. Ye gained more negative media coverage since then for several Instagram posts and the release of a controversial short film. However, Ye is not done yet.

Ye’s Latest Controversies

Ye made several comments that many considered anti-Semitic. Examples included his interview with Carlson wherein Ye made brief allegations that the Abraham Accords, negotiated by former senior advisor to President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, was done for Kushner’s own profit. Kushner is Jewish, and critics of Ye’s comment argued his position continued the old anti-semitic trope of Jewish people engineering world events to benefit themselves.

Disturbing Twitter Usage

Ye also made various social media posts spreading anti-Semitic beliefs. One Instagram post featured Ye’s text exchanges with famed rapper and mogul Diddy. During these conversations, Ye said to Diddy, “This ain’t a game…Imma use you [Diddy] as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me. I told you this is war.” Kanye’s use of anti-Semitic rhetoric has resulted in his Instagram account being restricted. Following this, Ye proved he could not be influenced for better or worse. Ye took to Twitter to express his ideas. 

Twitter Drama

First, the rapper posted an old photo of himself and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The short tweet questioned how Zuckerberg could remove West from his platform. Meta owns Instagram. Ye appeared to take personal offense. Zuckerberg is also Jewish, which possibly relates to Ye’s ire.

Elon Musk responded to the tweet by welcoming Ye back to Twitter after the rapper’s hiatus from the platform. Ye then released a bizarre, now deleted, tweet about his desire to “go death con 3 on Jewish people”, with the failed reference to DEFCON 3 implying a maelstrom of antisemitism. However, in an odd turn, Ye decided to wait until he awoke from a nap before doing so. He also added in the tweet that he could not hold anti-Semitic beliefs. In support of this, Ye cited ideas that align with noted anti-Semitic groups like the Black Hebrew Israelites, many chapters of which are viewed as hate groups by the ADL and SPLC. Following this, Ye released another tweet implying Jews as the group responsible for creating cancel culture.

Following this, Ye’s account was then restricted by Twitter. The rapper himself was unable to tweet anything afterward. Such a high-profile incident was sure to catch the attention of Musk. Musk himself saw quite a lot of controversy following his decision to purchase Twitter and his subsequent indecisiveness about the deal. Currently, Elon Musk is preparing to follow through with the agreement. As such, he takes a vested interest in the company’s happenings.

Musk tweeted that he had reached out to Ye, expressing concerns over the rapper’s recent behavior. Musk’s tweet read, “Talked to ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart.”

The Takeaway

As of writing, this is where things stand. Kanye remains locked out of Twitter; he hasn’t responded publicly to Musk’s comments. It remains to be seen if Ye is true to his word about being unable to be influenced. Kanye is no stranger to controversy, but his recent remarks leave reasons for concern. Ye frequently finds himself in hot water; however, he has apologized in the distant and recent past when he feels he has truly done wrong. Perhaps Musk’s words will affect him, and Ye can put this behavior squarely in his past. Ye’s fans certainly hope he does so.

Ye’s list of racial controversies continues to grow, this time during Paris Fashion Week. During his Season 9 YEEZY Show, The “BLKKK SKKKN HEAD” rapper and Black conservative provocateur Candace Owens appeared together. Both wore tees that read “White Lives Matter.” 

Before the show kicked off, Ye told viewers, “Everyone here knows…I am the leader…you can’t manage me. This is an unmanageable situation.” 

Ye then alluded to his wife’s traumatic 2016 robbery, the beef with The Gap, and controversial music manager Scooter Braun. His daughter performed in the show with an accompanying children’s choir.

West’s Response To The “White Lives Matter” Shirt Backlash

Fans and critics caught wind of the controversial display and gave their opinions via social media. Ye responded via Instagram. 

On Monday, he said, “Here’s my latest response when people ask me why I made a tee that says white lives matter… THEY DO.” And, of course, this didn’t stop the criticism.

A Brief History Of Sketchy Statements And Actions

Some may be shocked, but this aligns with Ye’s other race-related controversies. Four years ago, he implied slavery was a choice. And though he attempted to clear it up, the artist eventually only worsened things. Over the years, the rapper has openly endorsed Donald Trump, married into a family notorious for cultural appropriation, and slut-shamed his ex, Amber Rose. Kanye has also burned bridges with the Obamas, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Kid Cudi. 

In the last year, Ye also faced much backlash for publically harassing ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson. While Ye will always have fans considering his musical prowess, the rapper also makes permanent enemies. This likely won’t affect his riches or fame, but based on the reaction to his antics, it’s becoming harder and harder for fans to defend him.
