Emerging Rapper, Eb&Flow Disses Canadian Rapper Tom MacDonald And Others On New Track

An upcoming rapper, producer, and animator from Cincinnati, Ohio, named Eb&Flow, has a lot to say.

Making Music Is Enjoyable For Eb&Flow

According to WokeChimp, Eb&Flow’s passion for music has always been apparent to him. He has been honed over the years to become the artist he is today. Also, he grew to be a part of the Cincinnati underground rap scene as a songwriter.

Furthermore, Eb&Flow draws inspiration from many different creative elements. He can create a distinctive and authentic sound that he believes will bring a left-wing view to a rap landscape that he believes is lacking tremendously. Moreover, it is intriguing to run into artists who spend a lot of time developing music with substance.

With music being such a versatile art form, one has the opportunity to use their talents to produce music intended for educating others.

First Verse To The “Rap Grifters” Single

Aside from this, the “Radicalized” rapper’s new single, “Rap Grifters,” will be available on all major streaming services on Nov 1.

Besides, among the track’s contents is a first verse intended to be a diss track aimed at Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald and other rappers promoting conservative viewpoints in Hip Hop. Also, based on a person yet TBA, the second verse will come out on Nov 1, along with the entire track and a video.

The first verse of the song is as follows:

“…the problem with rappers like [Tom MacDonald] is they pay no attention or homage to the culture.

It’s not about that for them.

It’s about repeating talking points that will get them right-wing coverage.

That’s why they’re grifters.”

The Rising Artist Mentions Other Rappers In His Music

According to Eb&Flow, Tom MacDonald is not the only one who requires this treatment; there are many more he mentions in the song. Furthermore, in the second verse, there is a much stronger focus on one artist, who has a much more significant following and influence than Tom MacDonald.

However, there is still no indication of Tom responding to the first verse from the diss track by Eb&Flow.

More Music By Eb&Flow

Do you want to hear more music from this rising artist? Regarding his Spotify discography, Eb&Flow has ten releases available to listen to. Today, he has received over 7,300 streams on Spotify exclusively for one of his most popular tracks, “I.Would.Not.Go.To.War.For.America.”

Also, based on the title alone, it is clear that this song addresses several pertinent issues related to this country. Furthermore, here are a few lyrics below. Listen to the track, and you will see that my argument makes total sense.

“I would not go to war for America ’cause they won’t tell me more.

Richest nation in history, what you want more blood for?

I ain’t wit it you can’t make me care, gotta problem that you swear is there.”

Fans of Eb&Flow, as well as those who appreciate new music, will find this release to be worth listening to. As well as that, it is professionally produced, has a distinct musical style, and is infused with vibrant, authentic vocals.

The “Sticky” Video

The video starts with Lil Baby and Drake performing together to a sea of fans. “Sticky” shows fans rapping the words to the song being performed by the two artists. The energy is at an all-time high.

Drake hops off stage and heads to the airport. He skips past the lines to get on a private jet. Next, Drizzy sails on a boat as the sunset sets in the background. He rides the sailing yacht to a bigger boat that is hosting a party.

A strip club is the next stop for Drake and his squad in the “Sticky” video. After throwing stacks with Future, Mr. OVO gets on a plane and heads overseas to a royal mansion. Drake takes a solo swim before eating a luxurious meal.

The Flex Continues

Drake continues flexing by going yacht hopping. Partying on floating mansions fits Drake perfectly. Most of his day is spent on the water.

Finally, the “Sticky” video ends at a nightclub. Drake parties in the middle of the club’s chaos.

The last thing that fans see on the screen is the credits. The “Sticky” video was directed by Theo Skudra.

Rod Wave Plans To Retire From Music: “I Hate Attention”

Rod Wave has never hesitated to open up about anxiety and depression, but his career may be coming to a halt because of it.

A late single

Earlier this week (Jan. 17) RnB singer/rapper Rod Wave dropped his new single ‘Cold December’. While the single had an unusual drop, coming in January instead of the titular December, fans were quick to show support.

The Florida-born artist went live on Instagram to explain the delayed drop and pour his heart out to fans. Rod revealed he put the song out this month to close out his $15 million dollar contract with Alamo Records and Sony Entertainment. He expounded on his initial decision to not drop the single at all, and how he was persuaded against his wishes.

The price of fame

“I was in a $15 million deal contract that I was trying to close on and they was like, ‘They need that song,’” he said. “That’s the only reason why I dropped that shit. But I wasn’t never gon’ drop that shit if you want to be technical.” You can watch the full live session below:

This isn’t the first time Rod Wave has butt heads with his label. Back in February last year he posted an image of his album cover on Instagram with an angry caption. Apparently, Alamo Records was not compensating him correctly at the time.

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

“P*ssy ass label playing wit a n**** sh*t I ain’t dropping sh*t f*ck ya pay me. Y’all wanna album ask @alamorecords.” The photo reads.

It appears Rod’s relationship with Alamo Records and the industry overall has not improved over time. The 22-year-old confessed in that IG Live that he plans to retire soon.

“I’m only here for a little longer and when I say that I mean as in Rod Wave. I’m only here for a lil’ minute, man. I done gave y’all straight dope, straight crack. Ain’t nobody’s f*cking with me with that pen.” He stated.

“This sh*t not really me, man. I’m not no people person, I’m not no center of attention ass n***a, I hate attention, man. I can’t get on the internet without seeing my face or name. […] It’s kind of like you sold your soul, bro, ’cause you say that’s not you but for $300K it’ll be me.”

While Rod is unfortunately disliking his fame and status, his success speaks for itself. His second studio album Pray For Love debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 200. His most recent album SoulFly earned him an impressive 14 spots on the Billboard Hot 100.

Hopefully, the soulful rapper can get back in spirits, for both himself and his fans.

Ye Collaborates With André 3000 On Donda Deluxe

What is better than Kanye West’s Donda album? Naturally, the Donda deluxe edition, featuring Hip-Hop heavy hitters like André 3000. Ye shakes things up by completely rearranging the album’s original tracks and also mixing in 5 bonus tracks.

The return of André 3000 to music

Eric Bellinger – What About Us feat. Sevyn Streeter (M4a, Acc, Itunes/Apple Music Version)
“Life Of The Party”/Kanye West ft. André 3000 & IRKO on Donda (Deluxe)

“Life Of The Party,” which features André and IRKO, is easily the most talked-about feature as Mr. 3000 has been the music M.I.A for over 15 years. His musical return has brought a solid piece of history to the forefront.

“Life Of The Party” was originally a diss track to Canadian rapper Drake. However, the unreleased song was leaked. In an interview with People in September, André shared, “I was inspired by his idea to make a musical tribute to his mom. It felt appropriate to me to support the Donda concept by referencing my own mother, who passed away in 2013.”

Further clarifying his intentions with the track, he told Variety, “We both share that loss. I thought it was a beautiful choice to make a clean album, but, unfortunately, I didn’t know that was the plan before I wrote and recorded my verse.” Luckily, Certified Lover Boy did not ruin the track’s release with his sneaky leak.

Perfecting Donda

Donda made headlines for many reasons. The most dramatic being for Ye removing verses from the album by artists like Chris Brown and also Soulja Boy.

Despite its place on the Donda original, this track was scrapped. André also made it clear that he is on neither side of the Drake and Ye controversy but hopes to work with both artists in a way that would “inspire” him. He also shared, “Hopefully, I can work with Kendrick on his album. I’d love to work with Lil’ Baby, Tyler, and Jay-Z. I respect them all.”

Mr. 3000’s verse gives that classic André flow his fans love and crave. In contrast, this verse may be André’s most personal verse to date.

Hey, Miss Donda
You run into my mama, please tell her I said, “Say something”
I’m startin’ to believe ain’t no such thing as Heaven’s trumpets
No after-over, this is it, done
If there’s a Heaven, you would think they’d let ya speak to your son

Donda (Deluxe)

The new edition, which dropped Sunday, has over 2 hours of listening time. That’s over 20 extra minutes of astounding music from the best hip hop has to offer. Before its release, there have been several public previews, two public airings at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium and one at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

Donda was released on August 29th, after weeks of imperfections. A streak of listening parties proved that Ye was on to something great. Donda also recently reached 1 billion streams on Spotify and became Ye’s most-streamed album.

Check out more on Ye’s album release here.

Rick Ross Reveals Release Date and Cover Art for New Album

Rick Ross has revealed that his new album, “Richer Than I’ve Ever Been”, is going on sale on December 10. This will be yet another installment to his already esteemed Maybach Music Group record label.  The “King of Wingstop” is definitely channeling a “rich” persona on this cover art.

Rick Ross Reveals Cover Art & Release Date for New Album 'Richer Than I've Ever Been' | HipHop-N-More
The “Richer Than I’ve Ever Been” album cover Rozay shared via Instagram @richforever

This is going to be Ross’s 11th studio album. He was originally planning on releasing it at the beginning of the year, but he delayed it. He did so to perfect the album. Although he has kept fans satisfied by generously previewing snippets of unreleased album cuts, Ross has kept details relatively close to his chest.

Ross is extremely proud of this album and thinks that it is his best one yet. Back in September, he had said this in “The Bakari Sellers” podcast. “Really I feel this is the best album. I make progress every day. The words I use, the positions I’m in, the things I’m able to say. Some of the stuff I’m saying on the album gon’ separate this album from others. A lot of people are going to say Rozay shouldn’t have did thaaaat. I think I should. Why not? That’s what the game needs. I’m only going to bring what the game needs.”

Giving the game what it needs

“The game needed a boss like myself,” he continues. “Somebody to give us the perspective of the back of the classroom. The game needed somebody with that ambition and drive after accumulating that much success, wealth. Still collaborating with young, unsigned artists. Still bringing youngsters into the promised land.” He has also said that the album will give “that uncut Rozay” and a 2006-2007 feel, in a different interview.

The highly anticipated, Richer Than I Ever Been, album will be available Dec. 10.

Lloyd Banks Releases First Album in Over 10 Years at Midnight

A True to Form Return Story

Lloyd Banks is officially back at midnight!  Having been somewhat absent from the rap scene for a full decade, Banks is releasing ‘Course of the Inevitable‘ on June 4th, 2021.

Given how long he’s been gone, he’s giving us a full course meal of 18 tracks.  As good of a rapper Banks is, he definitely needs some features to bring in new fans and the list does not disappoint.  There are some lesser known artists featured such as Sy Ari Da Kid, Vado, and Ransom but Banks pulls no punches with the big names.  Perfectly fitting his vibe, Roc Marciano, Styles P from The Lox, and Benny the Butcher are all on the first half of the record.  Most excitingly, Banks made the last minute call to add Freddie Gibbs to the third track, ‘Empathy.’  With exciting new names as well as established giants, we’re in for some truly dirty bars.

Well Deserved Fanfare

Though he has credit with many great producers, Banks prides himself on his inclusion of new young producers on the boards for ‘COTI.’  Some of these names include, Phil Jvckson, The Olympicks, and Alpha Betic, among others.  In fact, there’s a complete lack on name brand producers on this project entirely.  While this might make some apprehensive, we say its indicative of a fresh sound that will distinguish this among other gritty New York projects.

The promotion for the album also makes it clear that this is something special.  In the promo video, Rashan Brown delivers a beautiful spoken word over a black and white montage of NYC.  There are beautiful shots of neighborhoods, projects, the subway, and the mural of Big L, ending with Banks pulling his hood up.  The whole thing is gorgeous yet mysterious, emphasizing this LP as immersive and likely cinematic.

Though this is his first studio album since 2010’s ‘H.F.M. 2,’ Lloyd hasn’t been a complete ghost for the past 11 years.  He still grinded out plenty of mixtapes, most recently ‘Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days of Fury’ in 2016.  Banks also consistently brings it on features, plenty of which are from the recent decade.  His recent verse on Conway the Machine’s ‘Juvenile Hell,’ is notable for matching the likes of one of rap’s current heavyweights.

With little to no decrease of talent over the decade, a life of fatherhood, and a solid team assisting him, the hopes for Lloyd Banks’ return are high.  Watch the promo for the anticipated LP right here!

Bobby Fishscale’s “No 9 to 5” Says Trapping Ain’t Dead Post-Quarantine (Watch)

Watch:

Bobby Fishscale

“No 9 to 5”

Directed by Jon J.

Bobby Fishscale grabbed the industry’s attention with his “Hov Flow” over Jay-Z & Eminem’s ‘Renegade’ beat, and the Florida boy is back with the newly released “No 9 to 5” music video! The Fishscale Fam representative takes us through the mental throws of choosing the street life over going legit. His nasally delivery dives into the growing pains of life in the trap over the multi-platinum DJ Swift produced beat. One thing for sure, Bobby makes it clear where he stands with lines like, “I don’t think they could take trap out yo’ blood, even if they could leave mine where it was.”

The visual totes a cinematic storyline primarily based in a dimly lit bando catching Bibby Fishscale in his element over the stove with his mistress making sure the money count is in tact. In one of his performance shots he can be seen burning up an employment application to further exclaim his position on the 9-to-5 lifestyle (and his qualifications as a love interest for B. Simone, maybe?).

“No 9 to 5” is the lead single off of his upcoming project, The Last Re-Up. Keep your eyes on Bobby Fishscale as he continues to bloom his rapidly growing fanbase. He’s caught the attention of major record labels and there’s no telling what the future holds. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section!
