“Top Notch” By Mahoney (feat. Monaleo): A Celebration Of Girl Power

Mahoney, a Bay Area singer-songwriter, is back and better than ever! Her current track, “Top Notch,” produced by Starski and featuring Monaleo, was poised to be the new ladies’ anthem as the year 2024 concluded.

Sometimes, women become overwhelmed and feel like giving up. But there’s always something to motivate them to keep going. Could it possibly be a song such as “Top Notch?” This song is all about girl power, pushing one to keep rising no matter what.

Mahoney’s “Top Notch”

One cannot allow barriers to derail them from their life’s mission, no matter how many there are. Mahoney and Monaleo are aware of this.

As Mahoney shares,

“This song really reflects where I am right now, and I’m super excited to share that with everyone.”

“I said I’m top notch; you can’t see me; I’m in the top spot,” the duo sings on the catchy melody.

The Emphasis

The song emphasizes the artists’ sass and confidence as they promote their accomplishments, position, and unique style. As the lyrics convey, Mahoney and Monaleo are proud of their victories in life, which can inspire others in many ways. But how?

Some may avoid revealing their accomplishments to others because they fear being perceived as braggadocious. However, these two women exemplify fearlessness, going to great lengths to speak highly of themselves.

“Top Notch” And A Collaboration With Mozzy?

“It just keeps getting better. On Your Way,” created by 30Hertz and featuring Sacramento’s Mozzy, is also available! This track showcases another one of Mahoney’s talents—her vocal ability. Mahoney raps and sings—that is multi-talented, wouldn’t you say?

Mozzy’s Impact on Mahoney

Mozzy, the featured artist, has collaborated with well-known rappers such as Sada BabyDave East, and Young Thug. This makes Mahoney’s opportunity to collaborate with him incredible, as it signals fresh possibilities await her and that’s exciting.

Many times, when a person appreciates and excels at their skill, they are surprised by the amount of praise they receive. But the more time and effort a person devotes to their craft, the more unexpected opportunities they will acquire.

“Top Notch” and “On Your Way” are now available on the streaming platforms below.

The Party Features Which Artists?

There will be legendary artists performing at the block party. Among them are as follows:

American DJ and rapper Kid Capri! Bronx native Kid Capri turns records into pure gold! From eight, he scratched and spun his way to glory. Young Capri unleashed his turntablist wizardry and left audiences spellbound, even in his teens!

This dynamic artist wasn’t just content with pleasing local crowds. He took his talents to the iconic Studio 54, where the beats he dropped had the public busting moves they didn’t even know they had. In addition, he captured his powerful sets on mix tapes that became hotter than a summer sidewalk in the Bronx.

Now, let’s fast forward a bit. Kid Capri went from rockin’ those decks at Studio 54 to producing sessions for a crew of legends! Heavy D, Boogie Down Productions, and even the legendary Quincy Jones couldn’t resist the Kid’s musical abilities.

However, he wasn’t just about music. Capri knew how to bring the laughs too. On stage at Russell Simmons‘ Def Comedy Jam, he spun chuckles as effortlessly as he turned those records. For seven seasons, he was the godfather of comedy and beats, orchestrating hilarity like no other.

In 1991, Kid Capri unleashed “The Tape,” his debut solo masterpiece that sent shockwaves through the music scene.

Seven years down the road, he dropped the ultimate bombshell, the “Soundtrack to the Streets.” GOSH! The musical journey this man has taken us on! And he’s still going strong! He’s like the Energizer Bunny of hip-hop!

The Musical Maverick: DJ Cuzzin B Takes Center Stage

Who’s the other star appearing at the block party? Senior producer DJ Cuzzin B, aka Robert “Bobby” Carter, from NPR’s rocking Tiny Desk Concert series. But did you know that this musical maestro’s expedition started way back in 2000 when he graduated from Jackson State University? A blast from the past!

Young and enthusiastic Carter, fresh out of college, snagged a three-month internship. This mere stepping stone evolved into a 20-year radio career at NPR’s dazzling headquarters in Washington, D.C.

“I was interning at WJSU, the school’s radio station, and a recruiter for NPR walks in. I rushed her and asked for a job. She told me to slow down,” recalls Carter. “She said I couldn’t have a job, but she could give me an internship.”

Once that initial internship wrapped up, the producer from St. Louis decided to begin a new round of internships. He swam his way up the career ladder, transforming into an official employee like a superhero donning his cape!

With each passing year, Carter took on various roles with the energy of a musical ninja, and the result? In 2019, he earned the coveted title of senior producer for the Tiny Desk Concerts.

Bobby Carter, alongside his incredible music team, faced off against the challenges of the pandemic. And what did they do? They flipped the script and gave birth to the Tiny Desk [Home] Concerts series! From the soulful Kirk Franklin to the mesmerizing Tame Impala, and let’s not forget Jazmine Sullivan, these concerts became the stuff of legends.

Aside from music, Carter is keen on innovation too! He gathered brand-new initiatives and dazzling programs to sprinkle some stardust over the Tiny Desk audience. Like teaming up with Complexcon, diving into HBO’s Insecure,” and even rubbing shoulders with the glitz and glamour of the 2021 film “Coming 2 America.” Talk about taking Tiny Desk to places nobody ever dreamt of!

Unveiling Monie Love’s Hip-Hop Journey

Crank up the hype-o-meter because the last artist I will mention will bring The Hip-Hop Block Party to a whole new level! British rap diva, Monie Love, breaks through!

Born Simone Johnson, a true hip-hop force, on Jul. 2, 1970, in the heart of Battersea, London, England. But Monie Love didn’t stop at her British roots. She packed her bags, hopped across the pond, and set up shop in the hip-hop mecca of New York City in 1989. That’s what you call leaping!

block

Monie Love wasn’t just rocking the mic solo from the get-go. Back then, she teamed up with her childhood pals MC Mell “O,” Sparki, and DJ Pogo, forming the ultimate dream team under the name Jus Bad Productions. Their first smash, “Freestyle,” dropped in 1987, and the streets were never the same again. But that was just an appetizer!

Fast forward to ’88, when Monie Love took the stage alongside DJ Pogo, they unleashed a series of 12-inch singles that were like treasures waiting to be discovered. And guess who heard the singles – DJ Tim Westwood! Then again, life’s not always a straight road. There were a few plot twists and delays, but that’s when fate stepped in.

Monie Love and DJ Pogo made their way to Cooltempo Records, armed with the infectious track “I Can Do This.” It blasted its way into the UK Top 40 charts like a musical meteor. Did someone say unstoppable grooves?

Unforgettable Hits

But Monie Love wasn’t here to drop hits and disappear into the sunset. She was just getting warmed up. She also unleashed another smash, “Grandpa’s Party,” paying homage to Afrika Bambaataa.

And she paired up with Andy Cox and David Steele of Fine Young Cannibals for the ultimate summer jam, “Monie In The Middle.”

In addition, she joined forces with True Image and took the UK to another level with their soulful rendition of the Detroit Spinners’ classic, “It’s A Shame (My Sister).” These geniuses even cracked the US Top 30 with that powerhouse hit.

So, gear up for the block party of the century! Ensure you’ve got your dancing shoes laced up and your energy levels set to maximum.

Find the NMAAHC Hip-Hop Block Party on Aug. 12, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the intersection of Madison Drive NW and 15th Street NW.

The Renaissance Of West Coast Hip Hop: E-40’s Influence In The ’00s

E-40, the rap legend, has been making waves in Hip Hop, especially with that West Coast vibe. As an “elder statesman” of the genre, he’s been soul-searching while celebrating Hip Hop’s 50th birthday. A true OG!

At the ripe age of 37, and 38, E-40 released the “Ghetto Report Card.” Boom! His career accelerated like a rocket on a mission. It was pure magic, baby! Not only was he part of the crunk movement, but he also rode the hyphy wave like a boss.

rap legend

The man was jugglingU and Dat,” “Snap Yo Fingers,” and more hits, taking the South and the West Coast with a bang!

Now, for some funny facts! Can you imagine E-40 busting those rhymes at 37, still killing it like a smooth operator? It’s like he discovered the fountain of youth, spitting fire and setting the stage on blaze. Age is just a number.

He’s got a whole rap legacy to look back on, and it’s worth celebrating! So, what’s E-40’s strategy for staying relevant and strengthening his impact? How did he make an impact in not one but two hot rap movements simultaneously? He had to be twice as cool, twice as fast – and three times as fly!

E-40’s Rap Legend Status: How Streaming Could Have Elevated His ’90s Classics

Many artists would have been much more successful if streaming had been available years ago. For instance, with the ability to reach more people, it is likely that the success of his ’90s classics like “Practice Lookin’ Hard” and “Sprinkle Me” would have made him even more of an icon in the rap world.

“Imagine if there was streaming back then when we had “Tell Me When to Go,” “Bitch,” and “Choices.” We would be diamond on each one of those records,” said E-40. “I put new life into the West Coast in 2006. And that’s no ifs, ands or buts. Can’t nobody say I didn’t, with the help of Lil Jon. And it’s never stopped since then.”

The “Choices (Yup)” rapper proudly declares this is his role! People call him the “Ambassador of the Bay!” And guess what? He’s got the whole Bay Area backing him up ’cause there’s nobody else out there representing it like him!

What if you were the official ambassador of a whole region? That’s some serious street cred right there! With every rhyme E-40 spits, he’s putting the Bay on the map and reppin’ it like a true pro. Or what if he strutted down the streets, with people high-fiving and saying, “Hey, there goes the Bay’s very own Ambassador?” It’s like having a VIP pass to the coolest club in town.

Inside “50 Rappers, 50 Stories”: Juicy Tales And Hilarious Confessions

There’s some hilarious and juicy insider info on the rap scene! The New York Times went all out with their “50 Rappers, 50 Stories” piece; wow, did they get some epic tales!

50 Cent, the rap legend, opens up about his baby oil adventures! In a candid interview, he confessed that it all started back in the day when he was just a young rapper on the rise. And who’s to blame for this shiny revelation? None other than legendary rapper Juvenile!

“When there’s no plan B, you looking at everything and saying, ‘I gotta figure out what’s gonna work or what’s not gonna work,’” Fif recalled his early rap career strategies. “There’s points where you’re laughing at a guy, and then you look, and it’s not funny no more.”

50 Cent thought Juvenile’s album “400 Degreez” would be laughed at these days. Yep, we can’t help but chuckle at the thought! Juvenile stood next to his yellow Corvette, all shiny and polished. And what was the verdict? 50 and others laughed their hearts out, thinking he was a bit too “country.” Oh, the good ol’ days of rap!

rap legend
Juvenile’s second album, “400 Degreez.” Credit: Genius

50 Cent Followed Juvenile’s Lead

Since its release in December 1998, 400 Degreez has been certified 4x platinum by the RIAA. When the album sales numbers came rolling in, guess who was the first in line, asking for baby oil? You got it – our man, 50 Cent! It seems like Juvenile’s shiny secret turned out to be a stroke of genius, and 50 was ready to shine bright like a diamond!

By using baby oil, Juvenile was able to create a memorable appearance that was both eye-catching and easy to recreate, which helped to spread the word about his music and drive up album sales. 50 Cent saw the success of Juvenile’s strategy and wanted to replicate it, which proved to be a wise decision as his album sales skyrocketed as well.

How Rap Rivalries Pushed Artists To New Heights

In the mesmerizing world of hip-hop, rappers find inspiration in the most unexpected places, often drawing from their fellow artists’ unique styles and journeys. Take the iconic duo of Jay-Z and Nas, for example. When Jay-Z, another rap legend, released his classic track “Takeover,” where he aimed at Nas, it sparked an epic rivalry between the two rappers.

But instead of taking offense, Nas was inspired to hit back with his powerful response, “Ether.”

This fiery exchange fueled a creative fire within both artists, pushing them to new heights of lyrical prowess. Their mutual admiration and competitive spirit resulted in some of the most legendary diss tracks in rap history.

Nas has cranked up the excitement to a whole new level by teaming up with Tobe Nwigwe and Jacob Banks for their fresh and lively jam called “On My Soul.”

On the splendid day of May 18, this electrifying track was unleashed via the remarkable Mass Appeal Records, a label co-founded by Nas himself in 2014. And on June 1, Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe and Nas dropped the music video for “On My Soul,’ featured in the epic TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS film.

Right from the get-go of this soulful masterpiece, Tobe Nwigwe bursts onto the scene with his signature lightning-fast delivery, releasing a barrage of lyrical genius that will leave you mesmerized. Yet there is more to come!

Can You Keep Up? The Challenge Of Tobe Nwigwe’s Lightning-Fast Delivery

As soon as those soulful beats hit, Nwigwe storms in with his trademark rapid-fire delivery, spitting out bars so scorching you’ll reach for that rewind button, desperate to savor and unravel every word. It’s as if he’s a poetry machine gun, blasting out rhymes like bullets, leaving you in awe of his lyrical prowess. Can you keep up? Probably not, unless you’ve got a time machine!

‘On my soul, everybody in the clique strapped, and they all on go
Keep a
stick, just like branch, papi, but I ain’t a troll
On my mama, can’t nobody out here play me for no ho

Guard your grill, guard your grill
Ain’t nobody out here hard to kill
The gat I pack go, “Pap” and peel your cap from front to back.’

Nas’s Mechanical Flow

With a booming chorus belted out by Jacob Banks, Nas kicks it up a notch. He launches into a lightning-fast verse of his own. And he stays true to the script, spitting lyrics that will have you scrunching your face in utter disbelief. How does he manage to keep up that level of intensity? It’s like he’s on a mission to blow our minds with every line. Are you ready to be blown away by the incredible brilliance?

Nas. Credit: Hip Hop Scriptures

‘Don’t slander all the banter
Just one answer, I’m an animal
I’m just one man, outstandin’ though
Part wolf, part king, part hannibal
Example, proof, I’m built like I’m mechanical
On the mic, I’m a cannibal

You don’t know who I’m family to
You don’t know my team, you don’t know what my mans’ll do
Turn it up to the maximum, gorillas in the trap.’

I had to turn down the volume because this heat almost burned my house down! I guess that means the gorillas got too hot and had to escape the trap!

Who Is Tobe Nwigwe?

tobe
Tobe Nwigwe. Credit: NPR

Tobe Nwigwe is a true enigma! His music tells the story of his challenging upbringing in Alief, TX, but it also takes you on a wild journey through the hood. You know, the place where gang violence, drug deals, pimps, and prostitution are all too familiar. But here’s the catch: Tobe’s music is filled with undeniable authenticity that hits you right in the feels. And despite all the hardships he’s faced, he remains a beacon of positivity and kindness.

How does he do it?

Well, Tobe’s songs not only describe shootouts and the heartbreaking loss of childhood friends. They also emphasize the power of faith and the significance of having a purpose in life. It’s like he’s saying, “Hey, I’ve been through some tough stuff, but faith and purpose can help you overcome anything.”

Speaking of purpose, Tobe has a singular goal that drives him every day: to make purpose popular. This first-generation Nigerian kid from Alief had dreams of playing in the NFL, with a college football scholarship and all. But then, fate intervened and handed him a career-ending foot injury during his senior year. Ouch, right? It could have been the end of the road for many people, but not for Tobe. In the depths of his despair, he turned to his faith and discovered a new calling: to teach others how to “move with purpose.”

Changing Lives Beyond Music

Even before Tobe picked up a pen and called himself a rapper, he made an impact. He started a nonprofit foundation called TEAM GINI and began speaking to rooms full of students, enlightening them about the incredible benefits of living a purpose-driven life. Tobe changed lives even before he knew he had the power to move people with his music.

And wow, did he succeed!

Through constant consistency and flawless execution, Tobe has attracted fans from all corners of the globe. We’re talking about big names here, like Erykah Badu, Sway Calloway, and Dave Chappelle. How awesome is that?

The next time you listen to Tobe Nwigwe’s music, let it take you on a trip through the hood and remind you of the power of belief and purpose. And hey, if Tobe can overcome obstacles with grace and positivity, what’s stopping you from doing the same?

Diddy Purchases A Brand New $250K Maybach Truck For Yung Miami; Her Child’s Father Is Unimpressed

Although the “Go Papi” sign Yung Miami used during P. Diddy’s presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards may have tipped off the situation between the two; it is only beginning.

In what can only be described as a significant gesture of love, the hip-hop mogul gifted a brand new Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to his “girlfriend,” which left her in awe.

Yung Miami Flaunts Her Gift From P.Diddy On Social Media

In an Instagram post published on Friday, Yung Miami showed off her new white whip parked on Rodeo Drive and decorated with a red bow. Additionally, she posed for the camera admiring the $250,000 car’s plush back seat while drinking champagne.

Although Diddy’s name didn’t come up, there was no question about who gave Yung Miami the gift.

“Thank you Papi,” Miami typed in the caption.

Support

There seems to be something about large signs that both Sean and Miami are fond of.

Recently, he attended a performance by the 28-year-old rapper and her fellow City Girl JT in Los Angeles, where they opened for Jack Harlow. To express his support for Miami, Diddy had audience members hold signs that read “Go Shawty Wop.”

Miami’s Child’s Father, Southside, Scrutinizes The Situation

Many celebrities congratulated the City Girls rapper on her new car. However, there was one individual who was not thrilled about the purchase.

Joshua Howard Luellen, better known as Southside, is a 33-year-old record producer and rapper. In 2018, rumors of a relationship between Yung Miami and Southside began circulating on social media since some users observed them flirting on the internet. There were several public clashes between the two during their relationship. However, the two had a daughter named Summer together before ultimately calling it quits in 2020.

Their once tight bond appears to have vanished, as Southside had some comments following his ex’s Maybach delivery.

As a result, the musician posted a video online stating his opinion. “Yea, yea, we don’t do that Maybach cars or trucks anymore,” he said. “We do vans now, having these b*tches by the twos. Okay? Alright. Thank you.”

It is relatively common to still harbor feelings for a former partner and exhibit a certain amount of jealousy when witnessing pleasantries from another individual. Even though Yung Miami’s child’s father disliked this gesture, he nonetheless demonstrated his respect for her to come to her defense after Lil Uzi Vert verbally attacked her in the past.

Is P.Diddy And Yung Miami In A Relationship?

It remains unclear whether the Bad Boy icon and the “Act Up” rapper are in a relationship. Yet, they appear to be open about their support for one another and do not hesitate to publicly share their gifts.

Furthermore, Miami recently spoke with POPSUGAR about her relationship with P.Diddy to clarify public perceptions. “People don’t know us. They don’t know what the f*ck we got goin’ on,” said the “Flewed Out” rapper. “Y’all don’t know what we have going on. Me and him gon’ be married — boom!’ No, I’m just saying.”

It is imperative not to assume that you know the details of someone’s business. One can only be sure unless it is publicly announced and confirmed by the individual concerned.

A$AP Ferg Accepts Funkmaster Flex’s Latest Challenge

As reported a few days ago, Funkmaster Flex’s September 1st challenge to Swizz Beats resulted in the world hearing an unreleased DMX song. However, Flex’s challenge wasn’t just to Swizz. During that broadcast, Funkmaster Flex also challenged A$AP Ferg to release some of his hidden tracks. Last week Swizz accepted Flex’s demand, giving the world a never-before-heard song by the late emcee. The song sounded like quintessential DMX, with the aggressive flow and a classic sample. Now, it seems like the second request is destined to appear soon. A$AP Ferg posted a video seemingly confirming that a new unheard track is on the horizon.

Why Ferg Responded

Ferg posted a video of himself smoking a cigar on his Instagram post, then said, “You [Funkmaster Flex] wanted the smoke.” The comment section quickly attracted user attention. Flex promptly pointed out that Ferg accepted the challenge before asking users which artists should be the subsequent recipients of a Flex callout. Swizz Beats popped up in the comments section too. He told fans to expect A$AP Ferg’s unreleased track this Thursday during Hot 97. Many fans will flock to this upcoming episode for Ferg’s surprise release. Likewise, fans of Funkmaster Flex and his content are sure to celebrate another successful callout by the DJ.

Flex’s Previous Callouts

As previously covered, Flex’s challenges began to produce more tangible results over the past few days. Many artists declared they would start working on new projects after Flex’s shows. However, now more songs are being aired due to Flex. Swizz Beats and soon-to-be A$AP Ferg dropped new music on his program, allowing for pieces meant to be forgotten to live in the ears of hip-hop fans worldwide.

What To Expect

Funkmaster Flex’s success means that more than likely, these callouts will continue. Undoubtedly, many unreleased songs and dormant artists could benefit from the challenge. Given time, many beloved songs might trace their roots back to a Funkmaster challenge; however, for now, all that fans can do is wait and get excited about Ferg’s new song on Thursday.

600Breezy Believes God Allowed King Von To Die Due To A Potential Life Sentence For A RICO Case

There will always be those who remember a deceased person for the rest of their lives. 600Breezy recently had an interview with VladTV in which he reflected on his understanding of why he believes his friend, rapper King Von, died so suddenly. In addition, he indicated that the matter is related to a RICO case.

King Von Was Murdered

In November 2020, King Von was killed in an altercation outside a lounge in Atlanta. The fight was reported to have involved Quando Rondo and his crew. This tragedy sparked a verbal firestorm, which led to the merger between the street life scene and the rap industry. Due to this behavior, rappers frequently encounter difficulties with other rappers, fans, and law enforcement officers.

600 Claims God Saved Von

Breezy stated on VladTV that Von felt fine on the way to the hospital. “He wasn’t a dying man in the car on the way to the hospital,” the Chicago native said.

As 600 continued, he was shocked when the “I Am What I Am” rapper passed away in the hospital, even though he was fine when transported there. In addition, he believes that King Von was taken away by God to prevent him from being incarcerated for the rest of his life.

“I don’t feel like that was, I don’t feel like he deserved that. So, you know what I’m sayin’? S**t. God called him home. It probably was a situation to where, you know what I’m sayin’, he don’t deserve to be in prison forever, ” Breezy said. “So, he left his mark on the world, so, just come with me-type s**t.”

Having faith that a loved one who is severely injured will survive is unfortunate, only to find out that they have died.

As well as this, the “Ticket” rapper believes if Von were still alive, the authorities would have filed many murder charges against him for alleged crimes that he may or may not be guilty of.

At One Point In Time, Von Saved The Life Of 600Breezy

Furthermore, the NBA YoungBoy affiliates 4KT threatened to shoot up rapper 600Breezy’s house for interfering with the girlfriend of YoungBoy. A couple of weeks ago, the rapper mentioned that King Von saved his life by not allowing them to do so. There are certain situations in which violence should not be the first option.

May the memory of King Von be a blessing for all who knew him.

Artificial Intelligence And Hip Hop Come Together As Virtual Rapper FN Meka Signs With Major Label

Artificial intelligence and hip hop have come together to produce a new artist. Virtual rapper FN Meka has signed with a major label and we can be sure to expect some major things soon.

How Artificial Intelligence And Hip Hop Created FN Meka

According to recent articles that came out on August 17 the AI-powered rapper signed a deal with Capitol Records. The first single from the artist was also dropped. “Florida Water” features rapper Gunna and gamer Clix. The “robo rapper” was created by Anthony Martini and Brandon Le of Factory New. And the duo were the first to “sign” the rapper. According to the creators the rapper’s voice is in fact a real human. But everything else is designed through artificial intelligence technology. This includes his lyrics, chords, and the tempo of his music.

The AI-powered rapper’s fanbase has multiplied quickly. Gaining over 10 million followers on TikTok and over a billion views on video-sharing platforms in just one year. One of the draws of FN Meka’s TikTok account is the fact he invites fans into his virtual world. Which includes jumbo Bugatti jets, Maybach helicopters, and machines that turn simple ice into diamond watches.

The AI technology seems to be working because on his recently release single Meka’s flow and lines are smooth. The song includes lines like “Oh just put on my tab/I don’t see the prices, throw it in my bag.” And “Clean water VVS diamonds bust down/Make it splash.”

As for the Capitol Records execs, they see artificial technology and hip hop coming together as the logical next step. Since tech plays such a major role in so many other industries. Ryan Ruden, Capitol Music Group’s Executive VP of Experiential Marketing & Biz Development says the partnership with FN Meka is the future of music. And that it is just a “preview” of what the future holds.

It will be interesting to see how FN Meka’s concerts happen!

Joey Bada$$ Names J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar & Himself As The Best Rappers

Joey Bada$$ just dropped his first solo album in almost 5 years titled “2000“. In the intro song The Baddest, Joey raps “Who the best emcees? Kenny, Joey, and Cole” confidently to start things off. This has sparked a lot of discussions online about how valid or not his statement is. While those three fit together quality/skill-wise well, many would argue that Drake easily holds the spot over Joey. There’s also that Joey’s too young to be considered as a part of that discussion, but he’s been in the industry for almost as long as the other three rap veterans. Listen to the song for yourself below:

Finally A New Album From Joey Bada$$

Fans have been patiently waiting 5 years for a new solo album from the Brooklyn artist. 2000 serves as a 10 ear follow up to his classic debut mixtape 1999. The album features appearances from JID, Chris Brown, Westside Gunn, Larry June, and Capella Grey. It also primarily keeps more of the traditional Hip-Hop sound that we know & love from Joey. However, the production has enough modern elements & quality mixing to keep the project sounding fresh. Overall, Joey makes a great effort at delivering one of the best albums of 2022 so far & proving to still have never disappointed his fan musically.

Who Is The Best Rapper Between The Three Veterans?

Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole & now Joey Bada$$ have all released new music in 2022 & shown off impressive rapping performances. With Cole still set to drop a solo album later this year, it’s curious to think about who the best lyricist is out of the three. Who do you think is the best rapper out of this group? And more importantly, would you want the three to make a collaboration before retiring? We’ve already seen Joey & Cole work together in the past, as well as Cole  Kendrick of course.
