Kenny Beats Shares Tracklist For New Album “Louie”

Kenny Beat is more than established as one of the most recognizable producers in modern Hip-Hop right now. After years of assisting talented artists with production & exposure, the producer is excited to drop his debut album later this month. The project is simply titled “Louie” & is set to be released in a few days on Wednesday, August 31st.

Additionally, Kenny’s already revealed the new album’s tracklist alongside its beautiful cover artwork design. The tracklist doesn’t show any credits for potential featured artists, but it’s likely that he at least worked with a few of his regular collaborators. Take a look at Kenny’s announcement Tweet below:

Who Could We See/Hear On Kenny Beat’s Debut?

Just so we’re all clear, the album will entirely consist of Kenny Beats’s productions & will likely not feature him as a lead vocal artist. With that in mind, “Louie” may just be an all-instrumental project, or it may have some rappers we know & love on his beats. So far in his career, he has collaborated with Denzel Curry, Rico Nasty, etc.

Not only do he & Vince Staples have projects together, but many fans remember Vince’s iconic episode on Kenny’s The Cave series. I could see any of the three rappers mentioned above being secret features for “Louie.”

The Next Chapter Of His Brand & Career

Releasing an official project not only solidifies the career & legacy of Kenny Beats even more. He’s still well recognized for his contributions to the genre through his music resumé & growing media presence. Again, there likely will be some frequent collaborators on his album. Especially now that he built genuine relationships with many rappers.

Are you excited about Kenny’s new release this month? And, do you think we’ll hear other artists on it?

Megan Thee Stallion Facing Record Label Issues Ahead Of ‘Traumazine’ Release

Megan Thee Stallion is going at it with her label again due to issues with song leaks & rollout plans. Her new album Traumazine is set to release at midnight (August 12) & should be her last release on 1501 Certified Entertainment. This isn’t the first time Megan expressed discontent with her label, as frictions have lingered for most of her career since fame. Yesterday, August 10th, Meg went on Twitter to reassure fans & clear up some things about her project/situation. Take a look at her initial tweet below:

About Megan’s New Album Traumazine

As mentioned above, Megan is still dropping her new album Traumazine tonight under 1501 Certified Entertainment. This album should be the last on her current contract with the label according to the Texas superstar. Her previous album, Good News, sold over 100,000 units in its first week of release 2 years ago. Traumazine features an 18-song tracklist that includes previously released singles like “Plan B”, “Pressurelicious” & “Sweetest Pie”.

Her new album contains a load of talented guest appearances ranging from her peers & Hip-Hop veterans. Dua Lipa, Jhené Aiko, Rico Nasty, Latto, Key Glock, Pooh Shiesty, Future & more. Which song are you the most excited to stream upon the album’s release later on tonight?

Where Will Meg’s Career Go Next From Here?

Things should hopefully die down between Megan & her label now that this is her last album on her contract. The hot girls are ready for their favorite female artist to finally be out of her troubling label contract. With that being said, there’s a good chance Megan could stay independent & take more control of her career. Alternatively, labels are probably lined up waiting to offer her millions of dollars whenever she departs from 1501 Certified Entertainment. If you were in her position, how would you navigate these choices?

“Las Ruinas” By Rico Nasty: Album Review

The new Rico Nasty’s “Las Ruinas” album is so eclectic that one could consider it a mixtape. The record’s unifying force is, however, still there. It appears that, for the most part, the album doesn’t at all keep up with the current trends.

Yet, “Las Ruinas” still doesn’t sound outdated or even crazy-music-experimental. Instead, the new Rico Nasty’s released a breath of fresh air.

Rico’s Kaleidoscop

From EDM and jungle beats to cloud-rap, Rico presents a kaleidoscope (or an ammo pack) of 17 different ways to launch your Hip-Hop career within a particular niche. Almost none of the songs have a similar style, while only a couple share the same mood. Meanwhile, somehow the songs still link well with each other.

In comparison with the last Rico’s last album, “Nightmare Vacation,” her new record is way less “Back & Forth” and a bit like “Let It Out,” but way darker. “Intrusive” launches “Las Ruinas,” immediately hitting the listener with Horrorcore instrumental and Rico’s horrifying stories.

(Mom, if you hear this, I’m sorry)

I like puttin; on my makeup

Ready to slash throats

Chokin’ bitches out

With spiked chains and rope

Hyperpop “Phuckin Lady” might come as a good fit if you’re looking for less scary self-descriptions. It’s somewhat similar to Rory Gilmore’s “I’m spoiled, so what?” manifesto, while obviously way less family-friendly.

I ain’t sorry that I’m not basic

I ain’t sorry that I’m high maintenance

I ain’t sorry that I lack patience

I’m always screamin’, “Fuck you, pay me”

The further it gets, the less horrific and more sensitive the record sounds. Like “Intrusive,” the last track on Rico’s album, “Chicken Nugget,” mentions mom. This time, however, it’s “I thank my mama for making me strong,” instead of “Sorry mom that I choke bitches out.” Moving on, a childish voice gives a heartwarming speech, finishing the song and closing the album.

Mommy, I love you, and you’re— I miss you a lot

And I can’t wait to see you, and I love you, love you

And you’re coming too, too late

I really want you to come, please, hurry up

Or I’ll cough venom on you, please, come up

I love you, mommy

Between the mood swings, club hits like the “Jungle” remix or “One On 5” appear. The absolute bangers also fill the record. Such include “Gotsta Get Paid,” which also presents the coolest metaphors in its chorus.

Fashionista shades like gyms, we move weights

Party like parades and wake up in a daze

“Las Ruinas” is definitely a well-done project. It also presents an imaginary world. At the very least, it’s exciting and different from the current industry tendencies of the harsh and violent reality tracks.

Denzel Curry Teases New Album ‘Melt My Eyez See Your Future’

Denzel Curry will be releasing his new album Melt My Eyez See Your Future later this year.

On Wednesday, January 5th, Denzel announced a new trailer for the album that was released that same day.

This short clip features calming guitar strums alongside more beautiful instrumentation as the clip goes on. Denzel is in the western-themed video walking through a hilly desert. He can be seen where attire that’s very fitting of this old-west aesthetic and a cool new hairstyle. It’ll be exciting to see how it all plays into this new album and its insightful title. Check out the full trailer below:

Features On Denzel’s New Album

Even though we still don’t have an official release date yet, it’s still exciting knowing that Denzel Curry will be releasing his new album Melt My Eyez See Your Future this year. The trailer above does at least reveal what features and collaborations we can expect from the Florida rapper’s upcoming release. At the end of the clip, we can see all the names listed in the end credits.

Notable artists include T-Pain, Thundercat, Rico Nasty, 6LACK, J.I.D., slowthai, Robert Glasper, Kenny Beats & JPEGMAFIA. Many of these artists are people he’s worked with on music in the past, but names like T-Pain and Thundercat stand out & should be interesting features for the album.

Expectations For Melt My Eyez See Your Future

First, I think I speak for many when I say that this does have the potential to be his best album to date. Additionally, there will probably be a lot of topics discussed and updates on his life since the pandemic started shortly after his last release. Denzel is an amazing lyricist & has a great ear for beats, but I’m mainly focused on what subjects will appear on Melt My Eyez See Your Future. The title itself sounds pretty deep and can be interpreted in many ways. Also, the trailer’s mysterious western aesthetic raises a lot of questions itself too.

Rico Nasty Tweets Her Concerns Regarding Playboi Carti’s Tour

It looks like Rico Nasty may be having a hard time while on tour with Playboi Carti. She has been opening for Carti’s King Vamp Tour, which began in October. It’s unclear what transpired between Rico and his fans at its start. However, reports show that she got into it with them twice this month. Two weeks ago, she got into a nasty fight with one of his fans during her performance. Video also surfaced of them booing her less than a week before that. The booing transpired at Rico and Carti’s stop in Los Angeles, Calif.

Last night,  Playboi Carti and Rico Nasty performed at Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee. Earlier that evening, Rico sent out alarming tweets about the toll the tour shows took on her.

“I dead ass need at least two hours out of each day. To just cry,” she said. “Crazy how I wanted a tour bus my whole life, and now I just be on the tour bus crying myself to sleep every night.” She continued saying, “I wish I was dead just as much as y’all do trust me. Y’all win.”

She has deleted her tweets since.

Playboi Carti’s Tour With Rico Nasty

Rico Nasty’s experience on tour hasn’t seemed to be completely bad, though. On November 19, Playboi Carti brought her on stage with him during his set in Colorado. He also hugged her, seemingly as an apology for his fans’ repulsive behavior.

Rico attributes the reactions to her from the crowd to racism and sexism. “Anti black ass crowd. Weak ass little boys wit blonde pubes. Ugh . Get me out of here.” she tweeted on November 7. A few minutes later, she followed up with her frustrated comments saying, “Cause a real bitch getting paid regardless. Keep playing. Dickwheats.”

Hopefully, Rico Nasty finds the strength to keep going. She has quite a few more dates left before the tour ends in December.

Rico Nasty Fought A Playboi Carti Fan During Her Concert Performance

Rico Nasty paid a visit to the Whole Lotta Red rapper, Playboy Carti, at the Oregon show of his ‘NARCISSIST’ tour. She also tried to warm up the crowd before the primary guest’s appearance.

Rico Nasty Gets Into The Fight

However, Carti’s crowd met Rico with annoyance. After a minute of the crowd chanting and booing, the conflict eventually escalated to the point of someone throwing a water bottle at Nasty. In response, she began walking around the stage, trying to find the offender, and also asking: “Who? Who, b*tch? Who the f*ck was it? Be specific, don’t f*cking play. Who was it? Who the f*ck was it?”

The bottle thrower didn’t speak up. However, a multitude of fans started pointing their fingers at the offender. As of now, it’s unclear how the conflict ended.

After the show, Rico Nasty went on Twitter, where she continued the fight. Eventually, Rico posted a bunch of tweets. Harshly, and in style, the artist expressed her opinions regarding Carti’s fans.

Rico Gets Artist Support

Lots of artists are supporting Rico on social media. For example, Kenny Beats suggested not to “ever fix your mouth to say anything about Rico Nasty if its not ‘legend’ ‘icon’ or ‘innovator.'” Meanwhile, Coi Leray claimed, “Rico is a great performer. Regardless of our differences, the media really try’s to control situations and it shows but always remember you can’t stop greatness.”
