The new song follows Brown’s single “Pit Not The Palace,” released in January.

Antonio Brown Might Be The Next Rap Superstar

According to The Source, Brown signed a $5 million deal to be the new face of the TuneCore streaming service Fwaygo Music. He was recently seen hanging out with Ye at the Superbowl. Brown has also been given co-signs from Fivio Foreign and Fat Joe, who believes he has a genuine future in Hip Hop.

Brown will be also performing at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival alongside the stars. Ye, Future, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Three 6 Mafia, City Girls, and Gucci Mane, to name a few. The show is also set to take place July 22-24 a the Hard Rock Stadium. Passes for the festival are on sale now.

He continues to say, “A lot of those guys attempted it, so I want to be the first guy to make people respect the craft from an athlete’s perspective.”

Other Ventures

This is for the people who counted us out, for everyone who said we can’t.”

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player is also seriously buying the Denver Broncos with Ye. The tag price is currently $4 billion. No word yet, though, on if it’s official.

Young Thug Steps Up And Offers Help To Africans Amid Ukrainian Crisis

War is hell, and the effects are indiscriminate. Yesterday, amid the escalating conflict and racist overtures against a people, Young Thug stepped up.

Young Thugs Response

Young Thug made a brilliant show of action and compassion yesterday, proclaiming he is ready to help Africans get out of Ukraine in any way possible.

In his social media post, the rap artist said,

“If any of my rap brothers are in, I’m willing to help African’s get out of the Ukraine.”

Without a doubt, these words are a balm to those in distress. However, words require action and the current situation is not to be taken lightly.

Ukrainian Conflict: a Study in Humanity

The headlines speak of countries embroiled in war and those caught in the crossfire. Tragically, the innocent always suffer as we have seen play out so many times. And unfortunately, the death toll in conjunction with the crisis is indicative of this point. The latest development concludes,

“Ukrainian authorities say at least 44 people have been wounded in fighting in Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv, and that seven of them died in hospitals.”

People are in a scramble for their lives. War has no respect for a person, gender, or nationality but, sadly, even in times of conflict, some of humanity’s ugliest characteristics rear its head.

The Events Which Influenced Young Thug

As masses scramble to evacuate, onlookers from various nations have been privy to scenes of blatant racial discrimination. And it is heartbreaking.

Ben Crump reported how African Students who found their home in Ukraine to advance their studies are left to fend for themselves. While other images caught on film show us Africans at the mercy of Ukrainians desperate to make their exit.

No one can deny the tragic nature of these events. Sadly this invokes memories reminiscent of the movie Titanic where desperate men push women out of the way to run to safety. Only this time, Africans are left at the depot while some Ukrainians strip themselves of their  last shred of humanity. Surely, war reveals both heroes and beasts.

Young Thug as a leader

True leaders take a stand and help from whatever place they occupy. Young Thug has taken the opportunity to show the world who he is and what he stands for. Immediately after his posting, Strick, a known collaborator of Thug, offered his support. Strick held nothing back,

This needs to be Shared more! I’m with your slime!” he wrote in an Instagram Story while sharing Thugga’s original post. “Proud of you, brother. Always been a true leader!

So today, we applaud Young Thug for stepping up and throwing out the gauntlet. Hopefully, more of those in the hip-hop community will join the effort. Hip-hop is an infrangible force forged out of struggle. Young Thug’s actions reflect an individual who carries hip hop not only on his lips but also in his walk.

FM Hip Hop will follow the story and keep you informed of new developments as they arise.

The UK’s Wireless Festival has a hot lineup of headliners this year! They announced that musicians like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, SZA, and Dave will rock the stage. The ten-day festival runs from July 1st to July 10th, 2022. The other artists apart of the Wireless Festival will be announced later.

Instead of hosting the festival at one location, the hosts have decided to run it at three different places: London’s Finsbury Park, Crystal Palace Park, and Birmingham’s NEC.

Last year, Future, Migos, and Skepta were headliners. In addition, Gunna, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Meek Mill, Polo G, Swae Lee, Megan Thee Stallion, Rick Ross, and Young Thug performed.

headliners

Drake joined Future during his set. They performed “Jumpman,” “Life Is Good,” “Way 2 Sexy,” “Laugh Now Cry Later,” “What’s Next,” and “Nonstop.”

During their set, Drake says
“I don’t even remember what this shit feels like. I just want to tale in all the beautiful people. We love you so much. We missed you so much. We wrote a lot of songs that we played in our studio that we never got to do in front of y’all, so I was hoping I could do some of those songs I never got to play for you tonight.”

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie had a different experience at the festival last year. He says during that time via Instagram,

“SMH Sorry to everyone who came out to see me at Wireless. Police locked me up before I went on stage for something I was accused of 2 years ago. I’m OK, and I’ll try my best to make it up to you guys.”

Gunna’s Riding The “Pushin P” Wave As He Gears Up To Release A Book

Gunna is riding the success wave as he is getting ready to release a children’s book titled 6 Things I Do To Be Pushin P

This past weekend, the drip master himself shared the news via his Instagram story. “Me and B Wright got a book … on Pushing P,” Gunna shared on his IG Story.

While the P was being pushed by adults, Gunna did also not leave the kids out. This book will share 6 ways to become P, such as loyalty and sharing with others to help them succeed. Gunna is sure to push the young generation in the right direction. Considering the artist’s success, he may have a thing or two to lend in the mentoring category. While there is no set release date or where the book may be purchased, the anticipation is high.

The Success Of “Pushin P”

“Pushin P,” which features Future and Young Thug, has undoubtedly become one of the most popular Gunna’s songs from his latest album, DS4Ever. Gunna then did not fail to drop knowledge while the world in a frenzy questioned the now well-known phrase meaning.

On The Breakfast Club, he shared that the “P” stays for “Playa.” He painted a colorful picture as he playfully schooled Charlamagne Tha God on its proper use. Here’s a quick snippet of his explanation below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBdRIfJrxkE

Twitter also had a field day with the Pushin P movement. Fans have created groups, and IHOP has even weighed in on what P’s they’re pushing.

The legendary soul singer Smoky Robinson even showed he was down with the movement.

How do you Push Ps?

Wunna has also let everyone know there is a broad usage of the term. He then comically let on that paying for things you can not afford is not P.

“When you go to rent in these things, you Kickin P. When you go to on the Catch and spending your hard-earned, you Pushin P,” he continued. “P don’t just mean Playa. P also mean paper too. You could be pushing this P with paper too.”

Gunna also even let off a sweet tweet that was designated for the ladies.

While the song debuted at #7 on Billboard’s Hot 100, this new catchy phrase lets us know there are many ways to push P.

Young Thug Joins Beef Between Gunna and Freddie Gibbs

On Jan. 16, Young Thug posted a video of him rapping Gunna’s Freddie Gibbs diss on his Instagram. The rap is from Gunna’s newest album, Drip Season 4. Thug has chosen to be on Gunna’s side of this beef. The beef between Gunna and Gibbs is a complicated tale.

According to Complex, the beef between Gunna and Gibbs goes back to 2020. In December of 2019, Gunna was seen talking to a reporter about a local crime. His cousin was the suspect and he was trying to absolve his cousin of the crime. Most people did not see it like that though. Instead, they thought that Gunna was snitching on his relative.

Five months later, in May 2020, the clip resurfaced. There was a rumor going around that Gunna appeared on the show Crime Stoppers as a snitch. He explained the situation to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club.

“Yes, that’s me, but that wasn’t on no Crime Stoppers,” Gunna explained. “I don’t know what the hell niggas thinking about ’cause I wasn’t in no case or nothing. So a nigga even saying like, ‘You snitched on…’ Who? I was never in no case. My cousin was in a jail—a little girl got killed—and another nigga went to court and said my cousin did it, but my cousin didn’t do it. My cousin still got life for that shit, til this day.”

On the same day, Gibbs responded in a tweet. He subliminally called Gunna a snitch.

Since then, Gunna and Gibbs have been at odds with each other. The Young Stoner Life artist even tweeted this statement about Gibbs on Twitter at the start of the year:

Yikes.

Gunna Drops Tracklist To Drip Season 4

The drip influencer Gunna is gearing up to drop the long-awaited “DS4”. The artist’s industry bestie, Lil Baby, also shared that we can expect some fire.

While many anticipate the album, Gunna has released the official tracklist for the album.

The “DS4” Cover Art

To amp the excitement for the album, Gunna shared the cover of “DS4″. This Daniel Arsham-designed cover epitomizes the cold drip we can expect. Arsham also shared the image to Instagram, tagging Gunna in the caption. Wunna then responded, “Thank you, bro ! I’ll cherish this 4ever” in the comments.

Arsham gave Gunna’s “DS4”, also known for his glacial jewelry choices, the coldest album cover. To enumerate the final installment of Drip Season, the sculpture-like depiction of the rapper brings a timeless factor. The statue displays diamond glimpses that coincide with his large iced-out chain.

Arsham is known for collaborations with artists. Among the artists are Ronnie Fieg and Kim Jones. Last month, Arsham also posted a photo with Gunna on Instagram, which signified the future Hip-Hop overlap.

Ready for “Drip”

Earlier this week, the Hip-Hop artist shared the “DS4” teaser video to Instagram. It featured Gunna and some friends getting together for drinks. The caption read “DS4 1-7-22 #HNY !!” next to a series of emojis.

Gunna has teased a track with Young Thug and Future titled “Come On.” Previous Drip Season projects have featured prevalent artists, including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and more. He also most recently reached 10 billion streams on Spotify!

Gunna’s renowned recognition for his uniquely constructed trends then prompted fashion icon, Rihanna, to take on Wunna himself for Halloween.

With “DS4” dropping Friday, Dec., 7 let’s get ready for a new heavy season of drip. While his industry buds have enlisted in the drip master to promote their albums, there are only days left as we wait for the album release.

Future Hendrix is the first artist off to reach 10 million followers on Soundcloud. The artist left Big Sean and Young Money behind with their 9.5M and 8.47M followers. Hendrix also shared the achievement on Instagram and thanked the fans with sincere words and emojis.

Future didn’t post any songs on his Soundcloud account for the past thirteen months. Regardless, Hendrix’s achievement doesn’t look very surprising.

After all, the artist was one of the Soundcloud pioneers. Future’s audience could not listen to the artist’s older albums anywhere but Soundcloud for a while. The artist also started publishing tracks on the social network long before Soundcloud rap emerged in 2015-2016.

The Biggest Future’s Soundcloud Trap-Hit

The most popular Future’s song on Soundcloud is “Trap N***as” from the “DS2” album. The composition now has 96.5 million streams.

Future’s Soundcloud-famous song also has a commentary to it. Available in the premium version on Soundcloud and for free on YouTube, it’s a minute-long speech. Hendrix talks about the own trap-anointment while bringing up the equation of great power and great responsibility.

Gunna, Future & Young Thug Collab: “Come On DS4”

While Future is beating the new Soundcloud records, Gunna announces the collab with him. Gunna, Future, and Young Thug are soon releasing the song together. Gunna made the announcement on his Instagram. He also wrote, “Come On #Ds4” in the caption.

The minute-long video features many people in the building, which looks like a house with a pool. Gunna also calls something “precise” and claims to be “straight-up precise with this shit.” The cover shows a night city and giant “DS4” letters with red borders in the middle.

A couple of years ago, the artist already released a collaboration. “Unicorn Purp” came out in 2019 on Future’s “The Wizrd” album.

Young Thug Rumor Leaves Dozens of Unhappy Customers in a Walmart

Have you heard the news? Young Thug is Bloody Mary now. Go into the dingy bathroom of your local Walmart, lock the door and turn off the lights. Then, if you whisper his name into the mirror three times he’ll appear. At least, that seems to be what people at a local Atlanta Walmart thought. Somehow, someway, a rumor got started that on Tuesday November 30th, Young Thug would appear at Walmart and pay for everything, everyone wanted. Some people are upset that that rumor turned out to be false.

https://twitter.com/theEthanKrane/status/1466129026397970432?s=20

The Generosity of Thug

Over the course of his rap career Thug has proven himself to be an exceptionally generous individual. As he and Gunna explain in their discussion during the REVOLT Summit this year, they feel that giving back to Atlanta is the right thing to do. The city made them and gave them the opportunity to become the rappers they are today. Now, they aim to pay that forward for the next generation. Just one example of this outlook occurred earlier in the year when they paid bail for 30 people at a local Atlanta jail. This is all to say, that it wouldn’t strictly be out of the question for Thug to do something like pay for everyone’s Christmas shopping. Just, maybe check with Thug first?

But not this time

Sadly, dozens of fans filled the local Walmart, but all of them left disappointed. No one knows exactly where this rumor first started, but that didn’t stop anyone from spreading it. Honestly, nobody involved in this situation seems more confused, and heartbroken than Thug himself.

I think it is important to remember here that Thug is a victim himself. It’s not right to outright blame or insinuate him for something completely out of his control. Thankfully, although many people were inconvenienced, nothing went seriously wrong. Just another example of not trusting things you read off the internet.

Atlanta’s Own Young Thug Says the Best Rappers are from Atlanta

As part of a panel at Revolt Summit last week, Young Thug made some pretty bold statements. When asked about what the future of Atlanta would be like is 5-10 years, Thug proudly announced,

“I don’t see no other city kinda like takin’ over Atlanta.”

Thug was born an raised in Atlanta, but his career kicked off the day he met Gunna. The two are well-known friends and spoke together during a panel hosted by Ryan Wilson. Now that they have made it big they are dedicating themselves to giving back to the community they say allowed them to succeed. According to Gunna, Thug was homeless when they met at a funeral, but the community and hospitality of Atlanta allowed them to become who they are today. Just earlier this year Thug and Gunna made headlines for paying 30 bails.

REVOLT 2021

Revolt came back live this year at Atlanta. The previous year, the event went exclusively virtual due to COVID complications. This year, the event is focused specifically on mental health and the community.

Charlamagne tha God kicked off the event with an inspirational speech about mental health. He emphasizes the need for removing the stigma surrounding mental health care and dealing with one’s traumas, “If you don’t deal with your trauma your trauma will eventually deal with you.” He thanks God and the community around him, particularly the black women in his life, for encouraging him to better himself. He in turn, now challenges the rest of us to be the best community possible.

Young Thug and Gunna at the Summit

In a panel hosted by Ryan Wilson, the CEO of The Gathering Spot, Gunna and Young Thug discuss their successes and what makes Atlanta a great place to be a rapper.

Wilson sets the tone by opening up with, “I think Atlanta is one of the most special cities in the country, if not in the world.” Gunna follows up first by talking about how Atlanta made him as a person. He emphasizes the hospitality and love that outpours from its community. He repeatedly mentions how his generation is responsible for clearing the way for the younger generations. And of course, he talks about music in Atlanta, “We got a big impact on music. […] We winning on music right now in Atlanta.”

Not to be outdone, Thug pranced onto the stage, pleasantly surprising Gunna. Seizing the opportunity, Wilson through the same questions at Thug, “We talked about how the collaboration, the community that exists out here is a real thing […] people in other cities they don’t build like that.”

Thug couldn’t agree more, “We getting bigger and bigger and bigger and the biggest artists that’s like popping right now are from Atlanta.” With Thug recently hitting #1 on the Billboard 200 with Punk things certainly seem to be going up and up and up! You can check out FMHipHop’s review of Punk here.
