Dedrick Williams Seeks To Pull Drake Into XXXTentacion’s Murder Trial

Tattoo artist Dedrick Devonshay Williams wants Drake to testify at his trial concerning the murder of XXXTentacion.

The rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, got murdered in June 2018 at the age of 20.

Williams was therefore arrested as a suspect and charged to court.

The other three defendants in XXXTENTACION’s murder case are Trayvon Newsome, Michael Boatwright, and also Robert Allen.

Dedrick Williams’ defense attorney, Mauricio Padilla, has eventually filed a motion seeking an order of the court for Drake to testify at trial.

“The testimony of the said Aubrey Drake Graham is material to the case, and it is necessary to take the deposition of the said Aubrey Drake Graham to prevent the failure of justice.” Williams’s attorney wrote.

Also, William’s defense based its accusation on Drake’s musical lyrics and his affiliation with other suspects in the murder case.

Past Experience With Celebrities In The Murder Case A Contributory Factor

The difficulties experienced in getting the testimony of another celebrity, Livingston Allen (DJ Akademiks), serve as a lesson. He “failed to appear on October 26, 2022”.

The process server still faced issues serving the podcaster with another subpoena for January 5, 2023, according to the document by Williams’ attorney.

Among the amended witness list in the court documents are some other celebrities, QuavoOffset, and Takeoff, who is also late.

Williams’ defense described them as “high-profile people. And it’s not easy for me to subpoena…Trying to subpoena Drake is not easy — you need a drone,” he added to the document.

More Trends For Drake

Asides from his recent mention by Williams, a suspect in XXXTentacion’s murder case, a video of the OVO Rapper’s arrest in Sweden has surfaced online. He was actually the one who posted the event of mid-2022 on Instagram as he looks forward to 2023.

“…The lyrics are truthful. The suspects are usual….The finish line is beautiful,” he wrote.

Takeoff’s Death Prompts Nas’ to Call for Rethink about Destructive Actions

Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones is opening up about his distaste for gun violence in the hip-hop sector. His reaction was prompted by Takeoff’s  sudden death.

The American rapper, better known as  Nas spoke up during the launch of his new album, King’s Disease III

Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball was shot and killed in Houston, Texas on 1 November 2022, at a private party.

Born on 18 June 1994, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Takeoff embraced fame as a rapper along with his uncle,  Quavo, and another family member, Offset. The trio performed under the hip-hop group, Migos, formed in 2008, with their popular single,   Versace released in 2013.

“We Can’t Be Destroying Each Other.” “There’s something to live for, something to be here for.”

Having enjoyed stardom for a decade, Takeoff met his tragic end, causing heartache to many in the hip-hop space. And so, fellow rapper, Nas makes it a point of duty to remind people of the need to stop violence and focus on their purpose.

“We’re trying to tell these people out here, man, we’re here for a purpose. We can’t be destroying each other… Look at these little brothers and be like don’t shoot; don’t throw your life away. It ain’t worth it.” Nas said after praying for Takeoff to Rest in peace.

One needs to outgrow some tendencies which may be “cool when you’re growing up, but we gotta learn that we’re here for a purpose, and there is a design that’s out here to make sure we don’t grow, to make sure that we don’t make it,” he said. “And we gotta recognize that there is something in existence that’s trying to stop the youth from the hood from growing into its proper purpose.”

Nas Not Alone in the Anti-violence Advocacy

Joseph Guillermo Jones II, better known as Jim Jones has also been talking about the need to stop gun violence in hip-hop.

Jimmy Jones, 46, is not the type to keep quiet in the face of life-threatening violence within the industry. While Jones mourns Takeoff, he is positive that “stopping the violence” is a change that needs to happen in Hiphop

Ari Lennox Trashes Abusive Relationships – Picks Up Self-Love And Family

R&B singer Ari Lennox is now very clear about what she wants from a relationship.

Ari Lennox has no more to do with abusive relationships. Ari now wants a “nice” person, as she also talked about in an entertaining interview with the Breakfast Club Power 105.1FM.

Although it sounds all like a joke, Ari doesn’t seem happy with the experiences she had dating up-and-coming rappers “they just won’t say it ’til like, you like them. And it’s just like, ‘Well, I’m ’bout to go to the studio.’ What?! Why?! What studio?”

And it didn’t stop at that. Ari Lennox has learned a lesson from a relationship with someone who “pretended like the singing part didn’t even exist” and “always kinda diminished everything about me,” Lennox explained.

Ari is a 2022 nominee BET Award for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist Nominee.

Meanwhile, the Breakfast Club interview isn’t the first time Ari Lennox has been talking about the matter recently.

“Age/Sex/Location”

Before the release of her album “Age/Sex/Location” on Sep 9, Ari took some time explaining to J.Cole what the new album meant to her. The “Queen Space” artist recalled the past.

“I spent so much time seeing the god and good in some abusive people,” Ari Lennox’s message reads. “Neglecting my needs and self-worth. Romanticizing terrible people. Ignoring red flags… my opinions and those knots in my stomach when interacting with people I’m dating.”

And now, that’s in the past. “No more tiptoeing. No more docile. Providing grace and compassion to myself. Blocking those that no more serve me or just literally not responding… Allowing accountability and maturing…growth to happen…self-worth and self-love and inner work to happen,” Ari added.

What Next For Ari Lennox?

It is time to allow “desperation and neediness to fade…The end of searching for anything other than self-love and family. Pouring into me and giving the greatest love to me.”

The situation with her father, where they are not on talking terms now, “sucks.” It is one of the areas needing Lennox’s attention now. “I wanna continue my therapy alone, but I think that would probably be best because I know these are things that I’m even carrying into my dating life, you know what I’m saying…I do wanna be more compassionate because he went through a lot, you know, with foster care and abandonment issues and all kinds of like dark things, so I do recognize like why he is the way that he is,” Ari said.

Family Relationship Lessons for People

Several people identify with Ari’s father-daughter relationship issue.

Ama Deon feels so connected to the development. “I relate to her life and her music. Her disappointment came from dad, mine come from both, and it literally bled into my personal life. I’m forced to heal now, alone, so I get it ari,” he commented.

A father in a similar situation makes a case for such parents. “Man Im going thru it with my oldest daughters. Definitely made me choke up seeing Ari and thinking of my girls. But Envy is right. Parents need grace and forgiveness too. We arent perfect and most of us literally are doing the BEST WE CAN,” Damien Taylor said.

VonRay confessed that “as a father, it actually affected me seeing her get sad and choked up when she started talking about her issues with her dad. One thing is for sure, watching your daughter(s) cry will hit you hard every single time. No matter what the situation is, he needs to reach out and they need to heal together once and for all. Ari, y’all are in my Prayers….️”

And so many more prayers for her and different families going through stress and strain continue beyond the social media spaces.

Kid Cudi Ranks Self The Most Hated Man in Hip Hop

American rapper, singer, and songwriter Kid Cudi has shared his conviction that he is the “most hated man in hip hop right now,” as at least “it seems.” Despite that, Kid Cudi, who is also a record producer, believes he is “really one of the most blessed!!”

The rapper’s tweet has been a concern to some of his followers, while others just laughed it off.

“Lmaooo bro rest,” one told him.

More Reactions From Fans

It was an outright question from some to really understand the post “most hated where,” a fan asked Kid Cudi; the another “Whys he saying that Chaney?”

There are, however, several “you are not Cudi,” “so not true,” and “bro is lying” forms of reassurance of love for the rapper.

Another fan had to remind him that his follower base is vast, and that’s a plus. “you’ve got like 22 Million monthly listeners bro… that’s a Win,” he said.

For some, Cudi should simply “Let them haters stay jealous!!”. He understands that “when you have haters, you’re doing something right.”

A female fan added, “My husband said you’re right where you should be! That says your on the right track.”

Kid Cudi’s Post Resurfaces Issues With Kanye West

Some are finding ways of linking Cudi’s post with him falling out with Kanye West “as you deserve you threw Kanye under the bus for skete,” one said.

Meanwhile, @ragersvoid seems to be endorsing Kid’s point “hated for no reason.”

Others were harsh, “Literally no one gives a damn about you man;’ “YOU DESERVE IT;” “Lead me to the haters. We stand together!”

It didn’t actually stop there – “He thinks he is Kanye” and “step one cross Kanye there won’t be a step two,” another response slashed in.

Just as Kid Cudi doesn’t actually bother about what people say or think about him, for some, @GOATYE_FAN, the reaction was an outright “We don’t care”.

Recall that in April 2022, Cudi posted a Twitter post that showed a crack in his relationship with Kanye West.

Despite all, Cudi is throwing “a special I LOVE YOU to the city of Cleveland,” his homeland from where many love messages are coming in after performing at the Moon Landing Festival.

“Feels like the luckiest man alive to be able to call yall my friends.” Kid Cudi tweeted.

His Netflix series drops on September 30.

Drake’s Fans Warm Up To “Subway Drake”

Drake is coming out from experience with Fake Drake to another one with “Subway Drake.”

Drake’s fans recently discovered Pinny MH’s resemblance to Drake through a viral video shot at a subway.

The Latino has been trending since then, especially with more people seeing him as Drake’s lookalike.

Pinny MH on TikTok now calls himself “Subway Drake,” but his profile clearly shows he is not out to fake the Canadian singer.

“Just a simple guy, put on the spotlight. Not an impersonator,” he wrote.

However, the “Subway Drake” appears to be savoring the moment.

No dull moments anymore. The poser has done several videos of recent where he is dancing. One of them could pass for a ‘Thank God it’s Friday” TGIF video where he is dancing with many cheering him on.

@pinnymh♬ original sound – Pinny MH

“I didn’t know Drake was touring again,” one follower commented. “The real champagne PAPIIIIIIII…,” another one hailed him.

Drake had also posted a slide with five pictures, including that of the “Subway Drake.”

“Really went from trying a ting to running things…Went from seat 28D to my name on the wing…Talk about a upswing,” the Canadian singer captioned it.

The caption is what some of his followers regard as an inspiring piece. “Keep upgrading and never settle for less,” a fan re-echoed.

Fans’ Comparisons

@funoau actually “thought that was drake,” and he is not alone in that confusion. “I didn’t know Drake had Puerto Rican blood running thru his veins,” another follower said

Others are catching fun with the scenario “Lmao the subway papi…,” one laughed.

Beyond the appearance, some fans are also spotting similarities in actions. An earlier performance with the watermark – “this is how Dominicans roll,” had a fan burst into laughter. “This is hilarious bc Drake would actually do this…,” he said.

But then, there is an age difference – “I just realized we would love to see your teenage pics to see if you really looked like drake lol,” one person requested.

Still curious about what Pinny MH could have looked like at Drake’s age, one follower asks – “Do you guys have kids? I wanna know what they look like lol.”

As if in a game of spot the difference, for @julianoof2022, weight is it, “if you lost weight bro, you’ll be the next Drake lol.”

For @moonangelbabe, watching his videos, “It’s like seeing another version of drake…this the real champagne Papi.”

What Can the Trend Accomplish for “Subway Drake?”

Some Drakes Fans are already calling for the two to appear in one video

“We need the papi twins both in action.”

“Subway Drake’s” vibes are surely getting attention “this dude about to blow up all over social media,” one said.

“We need more of him, omg” another follower Betttayyy solicits.

Already, some brands have started reaching out to “Subway Drake” for discussion. One is from @_beedev -“Hello! Do you have an Instagram account? I’d like to reach out on behalf of The Shade Room.”

And Drake’s lookalike dropped a response – “Check your IG messages.”

Many more are waiting to see where development would land the “subway” Latino lookalike of “God’s Plan” and “Trust Issues” singer, Drake.

Cliff Mac Faces Murder-for-Hire Charges in Sterling Heights Woman’s Case

“King of Flint,” Cliff Mac is in for a hire-for-murder charge that could land him up to 20 years imprisonment.

The rapper, whose real name is Clifton E. Terry, III, allegedly caught up in the failed attempt to murder a Sterling Heights woman in Nov 2020.

“Based on the charges of conspiring to commit murder-for-hire and for committing murder-for-hire resulting in personal injury, Terry faces a maximum of twenty years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000,” the Department of Justice, U.S . Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Michigan said.

The 31-year-old rapper faced charges of hiring an assassin to kill the woman for $10,000 cash.

Cliff Mac allegedly conspired to “murder-for-hire resulting in personal injury and using a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.”

The Flint rapper is alleged to have engaged the services of one Andre D. Sims to carry out the murder plot a year and nine months ago.

“The grand jury had previously indicted defendant Andre D. Sims, 25, of Grand Rapids, on Mar 16, 2022, for his role in the murder-for-hire plot with Terry.” the Justice Department release added.

The Failed Assassination Attempt indicting Cliff Mac – The Story

Having finalized with Cliff Mac on the murder plot, Sims left Grand Rapids for Flint, where he obtained a vehicle. “In the early morning of Nov 28, 2020, Sims drove to the victim’s residence in Sterling Heights and parked across the street. When the victim left her residence several hours later, Sims approached her vehicle and fired seven to eight gunshots at the victim. Despite being shot multiple times, the victim survived,” the indictment stated.

The shooting, captured on the victim’s home security system, has been on different media platforms.

The indictment also states that Sims drove to a nearby apartment complex after the shooting and left his vehicle. Cliff Mac eventually picked him up afterward from the complex. The “King of Flint” then consented to “pay Sims $2,500 for the failed hit.”

More Murder-Related Charges for King-of-Flint and Sims

In another case in Genesee County Circuit Court, Cliff Mac faced first-degree murder charges. That has to do with his alleged role in the murder of Devaroe Davis one year ago.

Doja Cat’s New Hairless Look Raises Questions From Fans

Doja Cat has continued to receive questions concerning her newly shaved hair and eyebrows. The “Streets” singer had on August 5 posted a picture of her new look with love designs drawn on her brows.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Doja Cat (@dojacat)

Among the questions coming from her followers on Instagram – “Why?”, “Why not?” and “perhaps it’s her choice?

And another one is seeking more clarification – “U look.. Different Eleven?” Other fans are, however, answering the questions on behalf of the rapper. “Cus she can,” “Cause it looks good,” “Wait bc the designs are actually really cool.”

Meanwhile, many more Doja Cat’s fans are commending the singer’s new look. “It looks good Doja,” “hush she look great. I like it she is very daring”, someone posted.

Starting Point of the Doja Cat’s Hairless Look

Among the earliest public information about Doja Cat’s shaved look was a tweet: “im going to shave my head and gain a ton of muscle but as a joke.”

Less than a week after, Doja completely matched words with actions.

The 26-year-old record producer has her reasons.

“I cannot tell you one time since the beginning of my life that I’ve ever been like, ‘This is cool.’ I just do not like to have hair.”

It’s not just that

“I’d be working out but I couldn’t focus because I was more concerned with how I looked and how my hair was doing and how to keep it adhered to my scalp and then it would slide off and then I’d put on a beanie. There were times I put on a beanie on top of my wig, that’s on top of a wig cap, that’s on top of braids,” Doja added

Doja even wonders why she hadn’t taken the decision to shave earlier. “I just can’t believe it took me this long,” she said.

“I had a trainer at one point, and I’d be wearing wigs and they would be getting tacky, they’d like retack because of the moisture, and then they’d start sliding and peeling off of my head while I’m doing this incredibly strenuous thing.” So, the shaving of her hair turns out to be an end to the “nightmare”. “I’m over it. I’m really liking this,” Doja Cat said.

Then comes the shaving of the eyebrows. Appearing on with the newly shaved hair, Doja unveiled her new look. “My makeup artist just texted me, ‘Are you shaving your brows off? “I’m gonna do it,” the singer announced.

And so, Doja also shaved her eyebrows. “I’m just fine. I’m doing dandy,” Doja Cat answers people showing concerns.

Mozzy Gets Down to Year-Long Jail Term for Gun Possession

Timothy Cornell Patterson, an American rapper, known as Mozzy, has started his one-year sentence for gun charges. The imprisonment for Mozzy on a federal gun charge is coming a year and six months after the incident. The 35-year-old rapper is from Oak Park, Sacramento, California.

The police stopped Mozzy for a traffic offense in his state of California. They discovered that the rapper and songwriter possessed a firearm.

According to a case filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California in September 2021, “TIMOTHY CORNELL PATTERSON knowingly possessed a firearm, namely, a Glock Model 26 Gen 4, 9mm caliber pistol…16 rounds of Speer 9mm Luger caliber ammunition, in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce.”

The court document further states that in Nov 2014, in Sacramento, Mozzy “possessed such firearm and ammunition knowing that he had previously been convicted of at least one of the following felony crimes.”

Before the hearing, Mozzy was released on bail. The Sacramento artist eventually had to present himself to start his yearlong prison stay. In a statement released to the media, Mozzy acknowledges that bad situations happen, but one has to handle them. “life comes at you fast… It’ll get slimy out here,” the artist explained. Also, the rapper appreciates his loved ones. “Chin up, chest out. Love you the most,” Mozzy said.

Mozzy’s Pre-Jail Last Minute Achievement

Just a week before Mozzy handed himself to the police, the rap artist entered a new stage in his music career. He released his seventh studio album, Survivor’s Guilt. The solo record with 15 songs includes “Not The Same,” “Tell The Truth,” “Murder on My Mind,” and “Make The News.” The album is the first for the label Collective Music Group, Yo Gotti’s CMG.
