Beyond Riches: Navigating Parenthood With 21 Savage

21 Savage recently engaged in a conversation with Shannon Sharpe, during which he shared thought-provoking insights on parenthood.

In an interview on Club Shay Shay, 21 Savage expressed his belief that broke parents are better than rich ones. According to the artist, financially struggling parents have more time to dedicate to their children, making them better parents.

In his own words, “When you’re broke, you got way more time. So, you’re there for like a lot of sh*t.”

The statement raises an interesting perspective on the relationship between financial status and parental involvement. Does he have a point?

21 Savage Discusses Balancing Celebrity Life And Fatherhood

21 Savage, a father of three, acknowledges the challenges of parenthood, emphasizing that being a celebrity doesn’t make it any easier. Balancing his career and maintaining success poses difficulties, often leaving him with less time for his children.

He expresses dissatisfaction with feeling like he may not fully fulfill his parental duties due to the demands of his job, stating, “I be feeling like I don’t be doing all the way my job because of my job.”

This dilemma raises the question of whether facing financial struggles, as he suggested earlier, might be a better alternative. But is being poor better?

Facing the Facts: The Struggle Of Childhood Poverty

The data outlined in a 2021 American Progress article highlights a troubling reality, revealing that almost 11 million children in the United States currently live in poverty. The article emphasizes that over 4 in 10 children live in households grappling with basic expense challenges, and seven to eleven million children experience difficulty accessing enough food due to financial constraints. Regrettably, the presence of hungry children does not translate to well-adjusted outcomes. Hunger isn’t the only issue that families in poverty face.

Challenges, Stress, And Strained Relationships

According to information from the National Library of Medicine, poverty doesn’t necessarily translate to being better parents. A cited study indicates that qualitative findings uncovered a variety of challenges faced by parents from low-income families. These challenges often led to increased parental stress, making these parents more prone to adopting harsh parenting practices that negatively impacted the parent-child relationship. Consequently, having more time in such situations doesn’t necessarily result in stronger relational bonds.

21 Savage And Complexities Beyond Material

Certainly, individual experiences vary, and our perspectives are frequently shaped by personal encounters. 21 Savage’s viewpoints mirror this diversity.

Balancing time and employment presents challenges for all parents, irrespective of their financial status. There isn’t a universal solution that fits every circumstance.

21 Savage’s assertion, “Gifts and sh*t matter, but they don’t matter at the same time,” highlights the ongoing complexity of the issue. It emphasizes the ongoing need for deeper consideration beyond material aspects in the realm of parenting.

Closing Thoughts

Parenting is tough, and sharing experiences helps others who can relate. 21 Savage deserves respect for striving to be the best parent within his circumstances. Hopefully, he finds a balance that works for him. What are your thoughts, dear readers? Do you agree that broke parents might be better than rich ones?

Nicki Minaj & 21 Savage Soon To Likely Join Call Of Duty

The synthesis of the gaming and music industry has been bringing us events like MTV Music Awards on Roblox. Multiple artists and actors like Wu-Tang, DJ Khaled, and Megan Fox have also partaken in this trend, becoming playable characters or hosting Fortnite showdowns. This time, rumors are circulating about Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage joining the party and offering their computerized version for the players of “Call of Duty.”

The data miner, who goes by the name Alaix, claimed that “21 Savage & Nicki Minaj are supposedly coming to MWII/WZ2.”

https://twitter.com/HeyImAlaix/status/1679232803358007296?s=20

He also added that it’s going to be a “100% operator,” which means that one will surely be able to play as Nicki or 21 and not just meet them at some point throughout the game. The artists will supposedly be available to play for on Aug. 9, once the new “Call of Duty” update releases.

https://twitter.com/HeyImAlaix/status/1679233977914097665?s=20

Both Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage are not new to “Call of Duty.” The “Chun-Li” artist have taken part in the last year’s “Call of Duty” update’s anthem, together with Lil Baby, Pete Davidson, and more. Meanwhile, the Atlanta native sampled the “Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War” soundtrack for his “Ain’t On None” song.

Nicki Minaj Backs Up The Controversial Self-Defense Case

Recently, Nicki Minaj also went online to back up a 14-year-old boy who accidentally took a life of a man while protecting his mother. “That 14-year-old boy that backed dat hammer out when that grown ass man was punching his mother in the face as if she were a MAN,” the artist wrote in an online post. “[He] is a true hero.”

Nicki also offered educational support to the teenager. “”If he wants to go to college, I’d love to help,” she wrote. “It’s what ANY son should’ve done for their MOTHER. She raised a dope kid & should be so proud.”

Touring With Drake

In the meantime, 21 Savage is touring with Drake. “It’s All a Blur Tour” has recently taken off, with artists planning to travel all around the United States and even Canada. The artists are giving concerts in the wake of their “Her Loss” record, which Drake and 21 co-produced.

Drake announces ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ with 21 Savage

Drake has announced a 29-stop tour with 21 Savage to accompany their smash hit album Her Loss. Find out where you can grab tickets!

A post shared by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi)

The ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ begins this summer on June 16 in the New Orleans Smoothie King Center.

In addition to New Orleans, Drake and 21 will be visiting Detroit, Inglewood, Washington DC, San Francisco, Atlanta, and more.

This is a big return to the stage for Drake, who hasn’t toured since the 2018 ‘Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour’. That venture was extremely lucrative for both The Migos and Drake, grossing a total of 111.21 million and spanning 54 shows. Since then, the ‘One Dance’ artist has put out 5 albums and performed several high-profile live shows. Namely, his recent set at the Apollo Theater and the 2021 ‘Free Larry Hoover’ concert with Kanye West. Now that Drake has proven to himself, the industry and his fans the momentum hasn’t slowed a bit. And he’s ready to return as a headliner.

The upcoming ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ follows the duo’s highly praised collab Her Loss. The project was received well both critically and on the charts. Her Loss debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and sold over 400,000 units, including 12,000 pure album sales. Drake is no stranger to capitalizing off collaborations, with 2015’s What a Time to be Alive with Future being one of his most well-received projects. 21 is also familiar with music partnerships, releasing Without Warning with Offset and Metro Boomin back in 2017. However, her loss dominates all those titles with sheer numbers alone. And the ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ is just the icing on the cake.

A 2121 Resurrection For 21 Savage?

Many people make resolutions they wish to keep in the months preceding a new year. One person, however, appears to have a very distinct and intriguing goal. In the hours leading up to midnight on New Year’s Eve, UK-born rapper 21 Savage took to Twitter to request that his body be frozen and returned in 2121.

“I Just Want To Be Alive For 2121 Somebody Freeze Me Right Quick,” he wrote.

With 56,000 likes on the social media post, the “Bank Account” rapper’s vision drew the interest of many Twitter users.

In response to 21’s tweet, many Twitter users made humorous comments:

In June of 2022, 21 Savage made a tweet in which he stated that everything in his life was going according to plan. Nevertheless, he is optimistic that 90 years from now, things will be significantly better than they are today. Over 100 years of age is not a shared milestone in life for most people. However, if 21 Savage survives another 98 years, he will be 129 years old in 2121.

What Is Cryonic Preservation?

A cryonic preservation method involves freezing corpses at shallow temperatures to preserve them. As a counterbalance, cryonicists hope that scientific developments enable the repair of dead bodies in the future.

Rumor has it that Walt Disney was frozen in 1966 and will be revived in the future. Cryonics is a method for bringing someone back to life after death, but the procedure’s effectiveness is unproven.

Rapper 21 Savage Accumulated A Great Deal Of Success In 2022

As a side note, 21 Savage is coming off an excellent year in which he collaborated with two legendary figures. This past November, he collaborated with Drake on a joint project entitled Her Loss. Following Drake’s Certified Lover Boy and his break into dance with Honestly, Nevermind, they announced they would tour together in support of the album.

Which Celebrities Have Expressed Interest In Having Their Bodies Frozen?

21 Savage’s request for his body to be frozen isn’t unusual. The activity has been a source of interest to celebrities for decades.

Furthermore, Steve Aoki is a world-renowned DJ, record producer, and executive affiliated with electronic dance music. He established the Aoki Foundation to raise awareness of brain health and innovations in longevity and anti-aging research. In addition, a significant portion of the foundation’s funds is dedicated to anti-aging technology and brain preservation. Aoki has expressed the wish for his family and himself to be cryo-preserved.

A notable entry on the list is Muhammad Ali, the infamous boxer deeply involved in cryogenics during the 1980s. The first time he visited a cryonics lab was in 1988 at the University of California, Berkeley. Although whether he was frozen remains open to speculation, some believe that he was, particularly since he was located in Phoenix, Arizona, when he met his fate.

What is the significance of Phoenix? Alcor: The Life Extension Foundation has moved to Scottsdale, a part of Greater Phoenix. Why would Ali end it in Arizona? He never visited Arizona much during his lifetime. Cryonicist Rick Potvin, a part of Ted Williams’s cryonic process, is pretty sure that Muhammad Ali is resting in a tank until the world is ready to receive him again.

Pop singer Britney Spears purchased a full-body cryonic corpse costing $200,000. One of Britney Spears’ acquaintances reported that Spears wishes to live forever, and the more stories she reads about the industry, the more intrigued she becomes. Despite Spears’ profound interest in pursuing this career, her father, Jamie Spears, could not help but make jokes. Britney Spears’ father thinks her two children should inherit the money. However, she gets what she truly desires, the ability to live forever.

Album Review: Drake x 21 Savage-Her Loss

Drake and 21 Savage dropped, Her Loss a week ago and it is still the hottest thing out!  The October babies planned the album to drop around their birthdays, but 40 caught COVID, which delayed things.  But the delay didn’t affect much as the duo was predicted to sell over 400K in the first week!  This is really a great album.  Let’s run through the work of art!

Her Loss

Drake and 21 Savage set the tempo off for the album with the first song, “Rich Flex”.  I already knew it was going to be something for the club as before the song plays there is a skit.  Drake starts the song off nailing the chorus, while Savage takes the first verse.  The Atlanta rapper raps about his opps (of course) mixed with bars about dissing and stunting on his exes.  His verse cuts out and Drake starts to serenade the beat before it switches up for his verse.

The OVO boss shouts out a few people in this song such as his loyalty to Young Money Cash Money Records and his old ties to CMG.  In his previous songs, Drake has always mentioned his ties to Memphis as well as Yo Gotti.  Fellow Canada artist, PartyNextDoor gets a shoutout as well.  Hopefully, they have new music coming.

As “Major Distribution” starts, you would think it would be one of Drake’s R&B ballads.  But, after he sings for all of 36 seconds, the beat switches again and Drake starts to rap.  Just like “Rich Flex”, this will be played in clubs from Toronto to Atlanta.  They keep the tempo going with “On BS” as 21 Savage starts the song off first before the two trade lines.  They both show off their rapping ability and sound great together over the hard track.  Who knows what else Drake and 21 Savage can do together.

Drake goes solo on “BackOutSideBoyz”.  Here, the 6 God mentions Shelley fka Dram.  Dram’s biggest song, “Cha Cha”, came out in 2015 and Drake made “Hotline Bling” in the same year.  Dram felt Drake jacked “Hotline Bling” and approached him about it years ago.  Drake is letting people know things didn’t go well for Dram in that situation.  Later in the song, he raps:

“She a 10, tryna rap/

it’s good on mute”

Many felt he was talking about Ice Spice since he flew her out a few months ago, but shortly unfollowed her on Instagram after that.  Ice Spice even addressed the line on her Twitter page.

Both 21 and Drake floated on “Privileged Rappers”.  They make it look easy over the easy listening beat, causing it to be one of my favorites off the album. I just have one question: who are these privileged rappers that they are speaking of?  They transition on “Spin Bout U”, making a song for the ladies.  With a 90s sample in the background, the Slaughtergang CEO lets his woman know what he would do for her.  Drake comes in after 21 doing what he does: making a catchy chorus so it’s impossible not to sing along to.  The Toronto rapper shares his take on a big issue in the United States today.  He starts to rap:

”Damn, just turned on the news and seen that man who never got p**** in school/

are making laws about what women can do”

This is aimed at the men who overturned the long-standing Roe v. Wade Act, which allows women to have abortions legally.  Drake follows Savage’s lead and assures his woman what he would do for her since she is worth it.  In another ballad for the women, Drake dominates the song and starts off first in “Hours In Silence”.  He influences 21 in this as he actually has him sing a few lines!  Drake’s second verse reminds me of the Drake we are familiar with: pouring his heart out over a woman in a somber tone over a slow, dark beat.  It seems like Drake still hasn’t changed in the women he likes and the way he treats them.

You can take “Treacherous Twins” in a couple of ways.  Twin could mean friend or lover in this case.  In both of their verses, it seems like they are talking about both their friends and women.  Drake references “dawg”, but also mentions that he’ll lay something down for you.  Similar to what he said in “Spin Bout U”, I assume he is talking about a woman again here as well.  Another catchy chorus, Drake gives us a few Instagram captions by the way.  What they do on “Circo Loco” is pretty cool.  A play on a pop classic, Drake and Savage turn it into a club hit.  In the first few bars, he does a play on the Megan thee Stallion shooting rapping:

”This b**** lied about getting shots, but she still a Stallion”

Lil Yachty went on to clear that up on Instagram stating that Drake wasn’t talking about Megan thee Stallion.  He was talking about women who lie about getting their body done.  Unfortunately, social media already made their minds up and shamed Drake.  A few lines later, he brings up Ye again.  He raps:

“linking with the opps, man I did that shit for J. Prince/

yeah I did it for the Mob Ties”

Drake may be responding to Kendrick Lamar here.  On Kendrick Lamar’s album, Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers, he said he was surprised Drake and Ye made up.  Drake just assured us they are not cool.

Like we already didn’t know, but Drake and Savage let us know what is on their minds, “Pussy & Millions”.  They tapped in Travis Scott, in a beat that seems to be perfect for the Houston rapper.  But his mind is actually on billions (& p**** as well).  Drake lays a great chorus, making it sound effortless per usual.  The duo comes back to the theme of the album and deliver another slapper!  On “Broke Boys”, they boast about their pockets in the almost four-minute-long song.

Drake gives us the best Drake (in my opinion) on “Middle of the Ocean” as he just talks to us for almost six minutes. He slows down the tempo to talk his shit.  21 Savage said he encouraged Drake to really say what is on his mind all throughout the album, no filter.  Drake picked the right beats to do it on as he switches to the classic AZ and Nas beat, “Mo Money, Mo Murder, Mo Homicide”.  The OVO boss must’ve took what his friend said to heart.  He decided to speak on Serena Williams’ husband, Alex Ohanian’s, calling him a groupie.  The boy was on one!  My favorite part of this song is at the end.  He has Birdman talking to lead the song out.  Him and Stunna still locked in after all these years is amazing!

21 Savage watches from the sideline again as Drake takes over on “Jumbotron Shit Poppin”.  Drake is just popping off on this quick track.  He’s not talk big shit anymore, he’s talking Jumbotron shit now!  21 is back on “More M’s” and starts the song off in a sound he excels on, which is a Metro Boomin beat, his favorite DJ.  Drake comes in and confirms that no one can compete with him in a Verzuz.  He claims he can go for 5 hours in a Verzuz!  Who could compete with that?

Now, I know what everyone was thinking once they saw the tracklist for Her Loss.  Everyone assumed Drake would go in on “3AM on Glenwood”.  He is famous for his timestamp and location songs, such as “9 Am in Dallas, 5 Am in Toronto, and 6 Pm in New York”.

To everyone’s surprise, 21 Savage took over this track and he did it just right.  Taking advice from Drizzy (I’m sure), 21 executed it just like the 6 God would: giving us his thoughts, feelings, and straight bars!  Just like every other rapper, I think he has something for Kim Kardashian as he mentions her multiple times on this tape.  Drake ends the tape by himself in Drake fashion.  On “I Guess it’s Fuck Me”, Drake serenades the women in his life.  This song is a great ending for a great album!  Hey, if it’s fuck me, then it’s her loss.  Right, Drake and 21 Savage?

Her Loss Grade

Overall, I rate this album as “Platinum”.  The new duo might have set the standard for joint albums. There’s nothing 21 Savage and Drake did wrong here.  The songs suits both of their styles and is something both of their fanbases will appreciate.  I never thought about a 21 Savage and Drake album, but I guess it’s the sound we didn’t know we needed.

The Best 20 Songs From 2016 XXL Freshman Class

21 Savage has been stirring things up between him and his fellow XXL 2016 Freshman class.  Recently, he said he would smoke all of them in a VERZUZ.  This includes Lil Yachty, Desiigner, Dave East, Denzel Curry, G Herbo, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Dicky, Anderson .Paak, and Kodak Black.  21 sounds confident, but so are his classmates. Savage claims he’s been making diamond records and Desiigner called cap on the Atlanta rapper.  21 does have hits, there’s no denying that, but so do the other 9 artists.  Savage shouldn’t sleep on them.  In a VERZUZ battle, the artist picks 20 songs that they feel is the best in their catalog.  I have come up with who has made the best songs in this XXL 2016 Freshman Class.

Denzel Curry-Clout Cobain

Denzel Curry does a bit of half hip-hop half rock. But “Clout Cobain” cannot be denied!

https://twitter.com/east_martian/status/1218720829099241472?s=46&t=RhToBxTaQbM8NIPyTYy7XA

Lil Dicky- “Freaky Friday” (ft. Chris Brown)

Lil Dicky is one of the more interesting rappers to say the least.  Yes, he can rap, but honestly his visuals are always entertaining.  In “Freaky Friday” with Chris Brown, they did a play on the actual movie “Freaky Friday”.  It was funny and creative!  Out of this class, I don’t think anyone is as creative as Lil Dicky when it comes to making a visual.  It’s probably why he got his own TV series.

Desiigner- “Timmy Turner”

Kodak Black- “ZEZE” (ft. Offset & Travis Scott)

One of the biggest hits of 2018, Kodak Black doesn’t miss with this one.  I wonder how this would sound with just him on it.  My guess is that it still would be a hit!

Lil Yachty- “One Night”

“One Night” might be Lil Yachty’s best solo song.  It’s catchy, hip, and different!

Dave East- “Keisha”

The Dave East slander needs to stop immediately!  This man can rap circles around a lot of rappers in the game.  The 90s sounding rapper paints a vivid picture in “Keisha” and proves he is a great storyteller.  Not too many rappers are successful in this aspect of rap.  Telling stories is something that rap was started on.  I hope ya’ll heard part two!

21 Savage- “X” (ft. Future)

We all have exes and 21 Savage said how we all feel out loud.  “X” is just too catchy not to sing along with.

G Herbo- “Sessions”

There’s no doubt that G Herbo is one of the most lyrical rappers in this class.  He proves it on “Sessions”.

https://twitter.com/waviecrockett/status/1589388042933981184?s=46&t=RhToBxTaQbM8NIPyTYy7XA

Lil Uzi Vert- “The Way Life Goes”

This song was so hard that Nicki Minaj had to hop on it for the remix.  When one of the greats wants to hop on your song, you know you have something.  Uzi didn’t even need the cosign for “The Way Life Goes” as it was already a fan favorite.  One great thing about Lil Uzi Vert is his songs are relatable, which goes a long way with the listeners.

Kodak Black- “Tunnel Vision”

This is probably one of the first songs I heard from Kodak.  He hasn’t disappointed since.

21 Savage- “Runnin”

It seems like 21 Savage is always working.  He’s starting to figure this thing out. “Runnin” was a good song and now he makes even better slappers.

Lil Uzi Vert- “You Was Right”

Lil Uzi Vert is very versatile in proves it on “You Was Right”.  He has different types of songs in his catalog.  Hearing songs like this and then listening to “XO Tour Llif3” or “Do What I Want” is fun, I guess you can say.  It’s like you never know what you’re going to get from him.  But, make no mistake, Uzi can rap.  You just don’t know what kind of rap he is going to give you.

Anderson .Paak- “Smokin out The Window” (with Bruno Mars)

Silk Sonic is like a cheat code, I’ll tell you!  Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars put out a great album around this time last year, An Evening With Silk Sonic.  Anderson .Paak is really the only artist in this class who can make music like this.  Joining the likes of Bruno Mars, separates .Paak from the pack.

Desiigner- “Panda”

In 2016, Desiigner probably dropped the song of the year with “Panda”.  You heard this song everywhere you went.  I’m guessing this is the main reason why the ex-G.O.O.D. music artist made the list.  Ye saw something in him too and I believe he is the only one in this class to work with the legend himself.

Kodak Black- “Roll In Peace” (ft. XXXTentacion)

Yak is no stranger to making hits. It’s weird because it’s so early in his career, and he has racked up some big records!  Whether the songs are his or he is featured on them, Yak has solidified himself as a hitmaker.  It’s like he studied from Drake as a lot of his songs have catchy bars and nuances that are easy to rap along to.  He keeps this up and he may become the biggest rapper ever.

Dave East- “Handsome”

Dave East can really rap and is certainly not the typical Harlem rapper.  He isn’t like Cam’ron, Jim Jones, or even Mase.  Dave East is in his own lane amongst the Harlem rappers and in this XXL Freshman Class, too!  One of the more underrated rappers in the game, please don’t sleep on East’s lyrical ability.

Anderson .Paak-“Leave The Door Open” (with Bruno Mars)

“Leave The Door Open” was one of the biggest songs last year.  Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars together is a tandem that can’t be beat.  Anderson .Paak just makes good music, whether it be hip-hop, pop, soul, etc.  Of course, this is one of his best songs in his career.

Lil Uzi Vert- “XO Tour Llif3”

No lie, Lil Uzi Vert had everyone singing this song.  His catchy chorus along with his vibrant flow makes it easy to join along with him.  Just go on YouTube and see him perform this in front of thousands, quite insane!  One of the brighter spots in this XXL class, “XO Tour Llif3” is at the top of Uzi’s catalog!

https://twitter.com/hiphopdx/status/1573567248605716480?s=46&t=RhToBxTaQbM8NIPyTYy7XA

21 Savage- A Lot (ft. J.Cole)

This might be 21 Savage’s biggest song and his best!  Of course, it features J.Cole on it, but the Atlanta rapper made his stamp on this track.  21 Savage gets better every time he touches the mic it seems.  The song probably didn’t even need Cole, but the way the Dreamville boss talks about 21 Savage before he raps makes the song all that much better!

Kodak Black-Super Gremlin

Kodak Black is the MVP of 2022, let’s face it!  He was on a lot of albums this year and even dropped a few albums himself.  He arguably has the top two songs of the year: “Super Gremlin” and his feature on Kendrick Lamar’s “Silent Hill”.  These two tracks are definite song of the year candidates.  Yak keeps getting better and better every year.  He dropped “Super Gremlin” around the top of this year and for it to still be relevant at the end of the year says a lot.

You know what, 21 can really talk his stuff as he does have many hits.  But, saying he would smoke his other classmates in a VERZUZ might be too much.  I would give Savage the edge here against most of these artists, but a couple would give him some trouble.  Will we ever find out?  Who knows, but I’m sure Timbaland and Swizz Beatz are watching.

Megan Thee Stallion Addresses Drake’s ‘Circo Loco’ Diss

Megan Thee Stallion was quick to address Drake’s diss towards her from his new song “Circo Loco”. The song, from Drizzy’s joint album with 21 Savage Her Loss, contains a lyric suggesting Meg lied about the events surrounding her shooting by Tory Lanez.

“This b**ch lie ’bout getting shots, but she still a stallion/She don’t even get the joke/But she still smiling,” the 6 God rapped. However, Drake doesn’t mention Megan by name. In another line, he seemingly doubles-down on his commentary. “Shorty say she graduated, she ain’t learn enough/ Play your album, track one, ‘kay I heard enough,” he said.

Megan Thee Stallion would address Drake’s shade on Twitter early Friday morning. “Stop using my shooting for clout b**ch a** ni**as! Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot!,” she commented on Twitter. “You ni**as especially RAP N**AS ARE LAME! Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dogpile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her.”

Though Meg didn’t address Drake by name, her tweets appear to be a reaction to the “Circo Loco” verse. A spokesperson for Drake had no comments on Thee Stallion’s statements. On the other hand, Megan’s attorney issued a statement.

“Despite the irrefutable evidence that Megan was a victim of gun violence, the ignorant continue to support her attacker,” the statement read. The court case between Megan and Tory Lanez is ongoing, with the trial set to begin November 28.

The situation between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez

Megan went into detail about the July 2020 incident in which Tory Lanez is alleged to have shot at her. In a June interview, she discussed the physical and emotional injuries she suffered and the recovery process she went through. The incident didn’t stop Thee Hot Girl from graduating from Texas Southern University in 2021.

During her April interview with CBS Mornings’ Gayle King, Meg affirmed that Lanez yelled, “Dance, b**ch!” as he opened fire around her feet. Lanez was charged with one felony count of assault and another count of carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle. He has pleaded not guilty.

21 Savage and Drake Drop Album Cover

21 Savage and Drake have an album coming out in less than 12 hours and we can’t wait for it!  The two have been doing some interesting promo for the tape, to say the least.  They released the album cover today and social media has been in a frenzy because of it.  The album cover features a face shot of a young woman.  Her baby hairs are gelled down and she is sporting long red, white, and blue eyelashes.  The mystery woman has a band-aid under her right eye, reminiscent of St. Louis rapper Nelly early in his rap career.  She also is smiling, showing off her gold fronts that cover her front two teeth.  Could she be from St. Louis, Missouri? Drake has been known to put out album covers that will have you talking, and he doesn’t disappoint again.

Her Loss Album Cover

As soon as 21 and Drake posted the cover on Instagram, fans went nuts!  Everyone wanted to know who she was and why she was on the cover.  Both artists gave no clues, which increased fans’ curiosity.  Paris Aden, a photographer out of Houston, is responsible for this photo.  After searching through the internet, apparently, fans found out who this mystery woman is.  The woman on the album cover is Qui Yasuka, better known as Suki Baby.  She resides in Houston and is a stripper and a nail stylist.  Not sure why Drake wanted her on the cover, but she is from Houston, and we all know Drake’s ties to the prominent city in Texas.

Drake x 21 Promo Run

The LP is finally coming out tomorrow after a week’s delay.  Unfortunately, OVO producer Noah “40” Shebib caught COVID-19 and couldn’t finish mixing and mastering the project.  Leading up to midnight, Drake and 21 have been showing fans a different side of them.  First, it was the fake Vogue cover where Drake and 21 are posing and have photos throughout the issue.  Then, it was a fake interview clip of the duo sitting down with Howard Stern to discuss porn and books.  Lastly, there is a clip of their fake National Public Radio Tiny Desk Concert.  I think it’s safe to say that we would all like to see Drake and 21 Savage really do all these things.  And, I believe they have hit the head on the nail to build the hype around their project.  Her Loss drops tonight at midnight!
