The Game Drops A Diss Track Aimed At Eminem

The Game’s new album includes a 10-minute diss track aimed at the rap god Eminem. Today, August 12, 2022, the artist’s new album, “Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind,” came out. The 31-song LP revealed a track called “The Black Slim Shady,” which showcases The Game taking shots at Slim Shady. Produced by Big Duke, Hit-Boy, and Brian King Joseph, The Game goes after the Detroit native in several verses. He uses Eminem’s iconic flow while he delivers bar after bar, pointing at Eminem himself and those around him. The diss track comes just two months after The Game told the world he was better than Eminem.

“You depressed, you just maskin’ it/You pop an Adderall, a Vicodin and an Aspirin/But the math wasn’t mathin’ in,” The Game spits. “So Pass me the torch ’cause the torture in my mind/With the voice that defines rhymes were forced to blind me/Done see the owls in a white Rolls-Royce with five .9’s/When you was pretendin’ to be the white Royce da 5’9.”

At one point in the song, the Compton rapper even hints at him having kidnapped Hailie, Eminem’s daughter. The bar goes, “Dear Slim, Hailie’s with me, and she’s unharmed for now/(‘Dad, I’m really scared’).” Adding on even more insult, The Game downplays Eminem’s impact on hip-hop culture. He says, “Twenty-three years, still ain’t penetratin’ the culture/You are not top 5 in mine, B.I.G. or Pac’s eyes.” Listen to the whole track below.

The Odd Nature of The Game’s Diss Track Towards Eminem

Some people find this diss track out of nowhere, especially considering that the two rappers have never had any considerable hostility towards each other. By the end of the composition, it seems as if The Game is just daring Eminem to respond in kind. The Game implied he wanted a battle with Eminem several times in the past. In March, The Game said he would be down to do a rap battle with Eminem on the Drink Champs podcast. Besides bragging rights, it’s unclear why The Game is going after Eminem so aggressively.

Several years ago, a rather famous video of The Game speaking on Eminem, giving him nothing but praise, circulated the internet. In the video, he said, “Even when I was going at 50 [cent], and me and [Dr.] Dre weren’t seeing eye to eye, I stayed away from the white dude.”

It seems that The Game has changed his mind and is ready for what Eminem may bring his way. Watch the full video of The Game speaking on Eminem many years ago below.

Courtney Tailor Captured Attacking Christian Obumseli Months Before His Murder

New video evidence has come to light that shows Instagram and Onlyfans model, Courtney Tailor, attacking her boyfriend. As previously reported, police responded to a call where they found Christian Tobechukwu Obumseli, Tailor’s boyfriend, with a knife wound in his heart. Obumseli was taken to the hospital where he would later be declared dead.

This later resulted in Courtney Tailor being arrested in Hawaii for second-degree murder. However, the new video is said to be captured months before his death. This indicates that Tailor assaulted her boyfriend prior to his death in Miami.

The video is taken from a security camera located in the elevator of a building. In the video, that’s only about a minute long, Tailor is shown to be annoyed while trying to pick a floor which results in her punching the screen. Obumseli walks in a few seconds later and tries to calm down his girlfriend only for her to turn and begin hitting him. She beats on him and tugs on his hair before he tries to push her away. See the full video obtained by TMZ.

Details From Courtney Tailor’s Arrest Warrant

TMZ also obtained the arrest warrant for Courtney Tailor which states the video was taken in February. The warrant states that “Courtney and Christian had a tempestuous relationship since Nov 2020, with multiple incidents of domestic violence from both sides over the period of the relationship.”

The warrant also paints the picture of Obumseli’s death in a rather graphic way. The documents also state Tailor was arrested in July of last year in Vegas for domestic battery against Obumseli. Cops spoke with Tailor’s mother who confirmed she was on the phone with her daughter at the time of the stabbing. She told officers that she could hear her daughter yelling at her boyfriend, saying he was “lying”. Cops also stated that Courtney herself admitted to killing her boyfriend. However, Tailor added,

“I really don’t know if this was justified at all.”

While on the Full Send podcast, DaBaby mentioned that this music is the most focused of his career. The rapper stated, “This is the most attention I’ve paid to some music before I dropped it.”

DaBaby’s Rough Years and How it Shaped His Music

Things have certainly not been easy for DaBaby lately, earlier this year he confirmed that someone tried to invade his home. DaBaby explains the situation of the home invader while on the same podcast, stating “I got a call from somebody that was outside working, like my contractor. I got a call from him and he was like ‘Somebody’s on the football field.” The rapper shot the intruder in the leg after they trespassed on his 2.3 million dollar home in Troutman. Before this, in 2021 a video of the rapper being interrogated by Miami Beach Police was made public and revealed he was involved in another shooting that left two people injured. Both shootings seemed to be cases of self-defense.

With so many difficulties happening to DaBaby, it’s no wonder that this music video has a bit darker tone than previous ones. See the full music video below.

US Senate Seeks to Label Russia For Terrorism

The US Senate unanimously approved a nonbinding resolution calling on US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, to declare Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. This resolution passed on Wednesday, July, 27. These actions by the US Senate are in response to Russia’s activities in Syria, Chechnya, Georgia, and most recently in Ukraine.  These acts of terror by Russia in these locations have resulted “in the deaths of countless innocent men, women, and children,” according to the New York Times.

Nancy Pelosi is a strong supporter of a similar bill previously. However, the State Department holds the power to designate a state sponsor of terrorism. Other states on the list of sponsors of terror include Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. Nonetheless, the Senate’s passage of this resolution puts more pressure on the Biden administration to add Russia to the list.

Russia’s Acts of Terror

The Senate bill reads “Armed forces of the Russian Federation have committed numerous summary executions against innocent civilians and have attempted to cover their atrocities with mass graves across Ukraine.” Despite Russia’s attempt to cover its tracks, several media outlets have taken video or picture evidence of their crimes. In response to Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine, congress has approved more than 50 billion in aid to Ukraine.

Additionally, Russia began its invasion and occupation of Ukraine back in February of this year. It should be noted that since the occupation began, several Americans have gone to Ukraine to help. Some have gone to help train the soldiers or civilians who must now become soldiers in order to survive. Others have gone to help aid in any other way that they can.

This action could send echoes of what the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky has said about Russia. Volodymyr firmly suggests that Russian forces have committed numerous acts of brutality against Ukrainian citizens. These acts include murder, torture, and rape which amount to terrorism.

Vince Staples’s Nod to Obama’s Summer Playlist

Former President of the United States, Barack Obama, released his annual summer playlist and Vince Staples took notice immediately. On Tuesday, July 26, Obama released his annual summer playlist on social media. Additionally, this playlist featured a lot of hip-hop artists like Kendrick Lamar and Vince Staples. However, the playlist also included artists from other genres like Prince. Clearly, the former president enjoys a variety of different genres when it comes to his taste in music. This playlist caught the attention of many people including artists who made the list like Vince Staples. Obama has a reputation for supporting the hip-hop community and the culture behind it.

“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies – it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together,” Obama’s caption said. “Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?” Clearly, Obama goes through the comments of his post to find new artists just like everyone online. You can see the full playlist in the tweet below.

Vince Staples’s Response to Obama

The range in the summer playlist is vast from Rakim’s “When I B On The Mic” to “Dancing In The Dark” by Bruce Springsteen and “Ojitos Lindos” by Bad Bunny and Bomba Estéreo. The 60-year-old retired politician proves that he loves rap just as much as he loves Al Green or Aretha Franklin.

Vince Staples’s song “Magic” with DJ Mustard landed at No. 43 on the list and the artist couldn’t help but give a nod to the former president. Just an hour after Obama posted his playlist on Twitter, the Long Beach native responded. Staples said “Dead homies Barack” which is a reference to an ad-lib Staples used in the song. Staples even joked around saying “If I convince Obama to get put on the set y’all gon be mad?”

‘No Vaseline’ Called Best Diss Track Of All Time

Recently, Ice Cube’s “No Vaseline” won the title of the best diss track in all of hip-hop history on Twitter. The internet is always in some sort of debate about a range of topics. This time it was about what people online thought the best diss track in hip-hop was. On XXL Magazines Twitter account, they posed the question to people, and Cube’s track began to trend on Twitter. Numerous song titles appeared online, but one that remained constant was Ice Cube’s “No vaseline” track. The song comes out around five minutes and 13 seconds, which is pretty long for a hip-hop track. However, the time is used to go after almost every member of N.W.A. from Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, and MC Ren. Cube even goes after the group’s manager, Jerry Heller, for some shady business deals. The song was released back in 1991, over 30 years ago.

Why “No Vaseline” Stands Out

“Lookin’ like Bozos/ I saw it comin’ that’s why I went solo.” are some of the first lines that Cube says in the track. They help set the tone for everyone listening and paints the scene for his departure from the group. More specific diss lines are, “Yella Boy’s on your team, so you’re losin’/ Ay yo Dre, stick to producin’ /Callin’ me Arnold, but you been-a-d*ck / Eazy-E saw your ass and went in it quick.” With over five minutes of lines like these, it’s no wonder people see this record as one of the best diss tracks of all time. Check out the full song below.

When XXL Magazine put the question online people had a lot to say about the subject. One hip-hop enthusiast said “No Vaseline’ and it’s not even close. Not trying to take anything away from tracks like ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ ‘Ether,’ ‘Story of Adidon,’ or ‘Killshot,’ but – ‘No Vaseline’ is one dude coming for four dudes and he annihilated them.” The best diss track in hip-hop history seems to be unanimous on Twitter.

Wiz Khalifa Gives Insight On Why He Prefers Biggie Over 2Pac

Recently, Wiz Khalifa answered the one question that all rappers are asked sooner or later. Do you prefer Biggie or 2Pac? The Biggie vs 2Pac debate has been around since the untimely deaths of both icons. Hundreds of rappers from all over the world have answered this question. During an interview at SiriusXM earlier this week, DJ Whoo Kid asked Wiz Khalifa about his preference between Biggie and 2Pac. Since Wiz has spent the majority of his life living on both the east and west coast. Though Wiz gives proper respect to 2Pac mentioning his work ethic and attitude he ultimately sides with Biggie. He credits his decision to Biggie’s complex lyrics and how you can still listen to him in the present time.

“Biggie. I like Biggie because lyrically like you could still listen to Biggie’s shit today and be like, ‘Wow, he really said that. He talks about clothes, like brands in a crazy way and he talks about cars in a crazy way and he talks about women. He’s just really poetic. That’s not to say one is better than the other,” he mentions. “But I just love how complex his bars are. Pac is raw, Pac is crazy, he’s hard.”

Watch the full interview below.

Wiz Khalifa’s Connection To The East And West

Wiz has a very unique connection between the East and West sides of rap. He grew up 400 miles west of Brooklyn, the Pittsburgh native has always shown an appreciation for Biggie. Gunna’s Lawyers Petition For His Release

Gunna’s lawyers are petitioning a neighboring county, Henry County, to release the rapper from his jail cell. After months of pleading unsuccessfully to the judge in Fulton County for the freedom of Gunna (real name Sergio Kitchens) his attorneys are trying a new tactic. In a so-called petition for a writ of habeas corpus, a constitutional procedure that allows prisoners to challenge their imprisonment. With this petition, Gunna’s attorneys argued that Fulton County prosecutors have offered little to no evidence to keep Gunna imprisoned. The rapper’s lawyers presented this petition on Tuesday, July 19.

In the petition, Gunna’s lawyers wrote ” To allow Mr. Kitchens to be held in jail by the unsworn claims and conclusions of the state, devoid of any specific facts or supporting evidence – over objection by the defense – is to render his presumption of innocence meaningless and to discard his right to due process.”

The petition is a way to get around Fulton County Superior Court which has denied Gunna his freedom multiple times. At the same time, the habeas petition should also provide an opportunity to appeal for the rapper. The judge in Fulton County refused Gunna’s attorneys to file an “interlocutory” appeal to challenge the denial of bail. Additionally, if the habeas petition is denied then the rapper has the right to challenge the ruling and his imprisonment.

Gunna and YSL on Trial

Back in May, Fulton County prosecutors revealed an 88-page indictment against Young Thug, Gunna, and 26 others. In fact, prosecutors claim that their record label “YSL” or “Young Stoner Life” was actually a violent street gang. The street gang named “Young Slime Life” has brought mayhem to the streets of Atlanta for the past decade. The charges that were filed under Georgia’s version of the federal Rico statute include murder and armed robbery amongst other things. Both Gunna and Young Thug got denied bond by prosecutors, thus both are awaiting trial.

Justin Bieber Resumes World Tour

Justin Bieber will be starting up his Justice World Tour again after putting it on pause over a month ago. The singer’s tour derailed after announcing he was facing a medical issue.

This medical issue was partial facial paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. The facial paralysis made it near impossible to perform on stage, so taking a break was the only option. It was a little over a month ago when Bieber went on his personal social media account to announce the pause of the tour. Obviously, the announcement was a shock to his fans worldwide. He made the announcement through a video in which he confirmed that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. Fast forward a month and to many fans’ joy and excitement, it seems that the singer is doing much better. Usher even insisted that his protegé was “doing great” following his diagnosis.

Boosie Badazz Harassment Claims Shut Down by Cops

Boosie Badazz claims the reason that he was pulled over and handcuffed by the police is because he is famous. The cops in Georgia, where the incident took place, claim this is false. Badazz was riding shotgun in a black Cadillac SUV when police pulled the car over. The reason cops pulled the rapper over was because the car had heavy window tint and concealed tags. During the traffic stop, however, the cops handcuffed Badazz and this sent the rapper off on a huge rant about cops. In the rant, Boosie Badazz talks about how he is being targeted by the cops for his celebrity status. TMZ obtained the entire rant video and was told that the cops were intending to search the car. You can watch the entire video below.

The Outcome of Boosie Badazz Dealing With Cops & Fame

Obviously, this is not the first time that a celebrity has made such accusations. In this case, the police officers claimed to smell marijuana and put the cuffs on the rapper for police protection. According to Fairburn Police Department Deputy Chief Anthony Bazydlo, it is common for cops to use handcuffs when searching a car. Bazydlo says that Badazz’s claims are false and his celebrity status or past criminal history had nothing to do with the stop. The cop’s main reason for the stop was for the temporary license plate. Additionally, the license plate was obstructed and could not be checked. The cop’s search turned up a large bag of cash and a bag of weed. The driver of the Cadillac SUV, De’Shun Lawrence claimed ownership of the pot. Lawrence was cited and Badazz was released.

This is not the first time that TMZ has caught up to Badazz. Recently they also got footage of him getting in the face of a man outside a hotel. This incident was completely different from this as Badazz was defending a hotel employee who was being berated by the man.
