Matthew Knowles Defends Beyoncé After Dubai Performance Backlash

Beyoncé’s fans were not happy with the location of her performance for the grand opening of ‘Atlantis The Royal.’ She received a nice payday for her mini concert in Dubai. The critics are not fond of the country’s anti-LGBTQ+ laws and felt it was a bad decision for Bey to perform there.

Matthew Knowles, the father of Queen Bey, is defending his daughter. He looked at this controversy through a different set of lenses. He said his daughter has incredible power to bring individuals together.

Bey’s First Performance Since 2018

The Houston native’s performance in Dubai was the first time she performed since 2018. It was an exclusive event that had stars in attendance such as actress Nia Long and model Kendall Jenner.

Father Defends His Legendary Daughter

Mr. Knowles told TMZ  Queen Bey united a really diverse crowd with her incredible performance overseas, bringing people closer, as she does best. He said people that were not present may not understand. In addition, he stated respect was received both ways from her and Dubai. Her father also stressed that Mrs. Carter would never do anything to hurt someone intentionally.

Ts Madison Defends Beyoncé As Well

American TV personality and LGBTQ+ activist Ts Madison questioned the Bey hive wondering if people would feel the same if Beyoncé performed in states with anti-same-sex laws.

Tour On The Way And More Acts Coming

Her former manager also added that a tour is in the works. The announcement will come when the details are finalized. Fans await the mind-blowing performances the legendary performer will give, but the Dubai setlist was interesting. Bey did not sing a single song from the 2022 disco-house album Renaissance.

Many are fascinated with how it will sound to mix her old tracks with her new sound. We can’t forget that the LP released last year was just Act I… Two other acts are on the way. Will we get a teaser for this upcoming tour?

Bobby Shmurda Responds to Claims if Him Being in Bed With a Man

Bobby Shmurda is making his rounds on social media but unfortunately, not for his music or dance moves. The fun-loving Bobby Shmurda dance curator is now rumored to be a lover of other men. Fans don’t seem to care, but Shmurda still felt the need to address the rumors.

In response to the chaos, Bobby swooped in with a little post-and-delete. “Im really that scary,” he shared with several laughing emojis. “Ay they trying to f*** up my tour cuz I’m not with them anymore and I’m taking they artist on tour.” See the complete statement in the Instagram post below.

After a 7-year stint in prison, we are all glad to see Bobby home. However, the rapper is under public scrutiny after he posted a video lying in bed with two people who, at first glance, seemed to be two women. What was a fun, comical Shmurda moment has now perhaps unveiled a secret no one saw coming.

A man named Xavier Raza claimed he was indeed one of the people in Bobby’s video. You can only see the forehead and hair of the individual, but the internet investigators imply the hairlines do match. In any case, it’s all here to see.

https://twitter.com/tavia_cw/status/1570818459214442497

The now-deleted comment doesn’t seem to give the world any answers. Shmurda didn’t really give fans the answer they were seeking; was it a man or not? Instead, it opened the door to interpretation, a clear indication of pleading the fifth.

Social Media Reacts

Since the “Bodboy” album rapper hasn’t made a clear statement, social media has cleared the matter by themselves. Whether expressing disregard for any “gay” activity to letting it be widely known Bobby Shmurda has been down for other men, social media left nothing unsaid.

Shmurda, One Of A Kind

Bobby Shmurda may have one of the most loyal fan bases. It’s been “Free Shmurda” since he was arrested. Since his release, he’s been having the time of his life. While we have no album yet, Shmurda has clarified that he will not be adding “drill rapper” to his description. Nor will he be producing drill music. “I’m not drill music; I’m Shmurda music,” the artist explained.

Chappelle Addresses Cancel Culture With A New Name For His Alma Mater

It seems all is well after Dave Chappelle’s alma mater reopened the door to renaming the arts school after the comedian. Surprisingly after being canceled, he has gained fans support after the challenges thrown. Backlash has followed Dave Chappelle but so has honor. While he said no, thanks to the offer, he did counter by ultimately renamed his alma mater, Theatre for Artistic Freedom and Expression.

It all began when hate started to spread, especially among LBGTQ about his recent Netflix comedy ”The Closer”. This time, he knew  his jokes went too far as some enraged students didn’t share the idea of naming the school after him. The media called Dave ‘transphobic’ which he never took deeply to heart the negative comments. Now, his deeply profound about this whole situation has gone viral.

Furthermore, NBC News reported that the school was about to change its name after Chappelle back then in 2021 but held back after the public criticized his recent comedy. Also, According to TMZ, he visited his alma mater in November and some students were not pleased with his jokes and one called him a bigot for his jokes during an assembly. Hurtful enough.

How Chappelle took control of the situation

To change things, the actor brought to focus that raising the money was primordial and if ever the haters raised more cash, then he would renounce; that’s the challenge he threw to all attending students. And as it turns out, his supporters collected more money and the bullies could only stand and stare at their school paying tribute to Chappelle who committed on and off and served as needed.

However, it was not long until he changed his mind and renamed it.  It is indeed sad to note that the most famous alumni there sacrificed his honor just so that students don’t feel oppressed about attending a theatre school. Well, Chappelle does have a deep meaning behind this sudden change of name; to address the cancel culture. His point of view was that there will always be a pack of haters causing you harm and going against you and your sayings; but your fans won’t.

Aurora Pride Parade Cancelled Due To Lack Of Police Security

Yesterday, Aurora Pride canceled the annual parade in Illinois planned for this Sunday. Aurora planned this to be the third yearly pride parade after COVID-19 canceled the 2020 and 2021 parades. This follows the news that there is not enough police security to properly monitor the event. Aurora Pride planned the parade for this Sunday, June 12th, but the city revoked its event permit on Wednesday afternoon.

Aurora Pride states the city informed them they had until 12 PM on Wednesday to find the requisite officers. With the police understaffed, they searched other jurisdictions for the staff. However, unable to find the necessary officials, they lost their Special Events license.

Aurora Pride Ban on Police Uniforms

Much of this issue stems from the parade’s ban on police marching in uniform. Two weeks ago, the organization announced they would not allow any service weapons, police uniforms, or official vehicles in the parade. They cited distrust between the police and the LGBTQ+ community as the policy change. However, they maintained that the policy was to create “the most welcoming environment possible” for all involved. Aurora Pride did encourage law enforcement officers participating in the parade still to identify themselves with t-shirts, flags, or a “soft uniform.”

The police force expressed their displeasure with the change, as they could wear uniforms both in the 2018 and 2019 parades. The mayor of Aurora also withdrew his participation in the parade. He voiced support for those affected in the police department. He attempted to flee the city float from the parade, as well.

Aurora Pride is still committed to making the event happen, still searching for the personnel necessary. Their statement reads: “We’re not giving up. Our position has been misrepresented, and we’re making every effort to keep the parade as scheduled. Thank you for your steadfast support, and please hang tight.”

Texas Legislator Proposes Bill To Ban Drag Shows From Minors

Texas has made its way further down the naughty list. In light of recent events that happened in the lone star state, Texas State Legislator Representative Bryan Slaton has proposed a new bill that proposes to ban minors from attending drag shows in the state. The proposal comes from a viral video showing kids at a drag show that was deemed family-friendly. Protestors believe that it is a knock-off of a Champagne Drag Brunch. Kids were allowed to dance with the performers on stage, hence the comparison.

Videos of The Drag Shows

Other than dancing with children, another video shows the Drag Queens taking dollar bills from children, dancing with them and walking down the aisle in the center of the room. There was also a sign that read “It’s not gonna lick itself!” Slaton then went on Twitter to express his thoughts on the “horrifying” event. “The events of this past weekend were horrifying and show a disturbing trend in which perverted adults are obsessed with sexualizing young children,” Slaton said. “I will be filing legislation to address this issue in the new #txlege.” See the full tweet below.

Productive conversations about the topic are currently happening and will see if the bill would be passed in the near future.

Other Texas Laws

Along with this proposed bill, Texas recently passed its controversial anti-abortion law. The law gave Texas a whole new look, even having artists almost not go through with their scheduled shows. At the Austin City Limits Music Festival last year, headliner Billie Eilish spoke about the law during her set and expressed that she almost didn’t want to perform at the festival after the law was passed. She continued to say that it is not the people within the state, but the court system itself. “But then I remembered it’s you guys who are the fucking victims and you guys deserve everything in the world. And we need to tell them to shut the fuck up! My body, my fucking choice,” said Eilish.

Slaton also requested to ban gender transitioning for minors last year. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services now treats sex-change surgeries for minors as child abuse. This includes chemical procedures, mastectomies and transition counseling.

Cardi B Sprays Whipshots at Fans During Pride Parade

Cardi B joins West Hollywood in celebrating Pride month. The rapper spent the beginning of summer shooting her famous vodka-infused Whipshots into the mouths of fans while enjoying the three-day event.

https://twitter.com/TheFemaleMC/status/1533899699526242311

In a video released online, Cardi sprayed a bunch of Whipshot all over one woman’s face. The accidental yet hilarious incident happened during the parade on Santa Monica Boulevard. In the video, Cardi is heard yelling, “Damn I got sh*t all over your face, sorry ma’am, sorry, sorry, sorry!”

Cardi Shows Support for LGBTQ Community Despite Past Homophobic Accusations.

During the event, Cardi flaunts a vibrant rainbow jumpsuit to show her support for Pride. Although haters would say the star has no sense of class, everyone seemed to be having fun and the fan didn’t seem to mind being sprayed.

Back in 2020, Twitter had claimed Cardi B “canceled” and accused her of being homophobic which she clapped back to say, “How the fuck am I homophobic or transphobic?” She continued, “have you been to a Caribbean island where you really see homophobia? Have you dealt with a parent that can’t accept you for your sexuality? I said some ignorant things b4 that apologized for & educated myself on it don’t mean I’m homo.” While the star has many family, friends and fans in the community, she opens up about her sexual experience as well saying she had questioned her interest in women and that she felt her cousin’s pain and confusion when he came out.

Other than the artist’s famous sister, Hennessy Carolina, who is also part of the LGBTQ community with her partner Michelle Diaz, Cardi has also shown love to her good friend Raven-Symoné over the years. The That’s So Raven actress has been married to her wife, Miranda Maday since June of 2020. The two even helped a same-sex couple officially tie the knot on their wedding day. Check out the video below!

Radio Show Host Responds To Kehlani’s ‘Invasive’ Interview Claims

After a disastrous interview with R&B sensation Kehlani, a spokesperson for The Morning Hustle, fired back on social media, claiming the singer was less than graceful. The discussion started with one host saying, “They [Kehlani] are here, and they are she, and she is with us.” The camera panned to the singer, who immediately seemed uncomfortable.

It got worse when host Lore’l asked Kehlani a series of personal questions. Kehlani is friends with fellow R&B star SZA which prompted the host to ask Keh if they “scissored with SZA.” Lore’l also asked about Megan Thee Stallion. Kehlani explained they were all friends and left it at that. Keh intended to promote the latest album, “Blue Water Road,” during the interview, and the turn conversation took seemed inappropriate.

People on social media commented singer looked uncomfortable. After the interview, Kehlani posted on Instagram to explain what happened. The singer summed up the show as “cringy” and “invasive.” Lore’l, upset at the backlash, responded in a video clip. The host claimed Kehlani thought they were too good for shows like The Morning Hustle. This brought even more negative attention.

Kehlani’s Fans Come To The Rescue

Kehlani is an outspoken artist, so it’s no surprise their fans followed suit and came to their defense. When the “Distraction” singer said they’d be declining other interviews to promote their latest album, fans immediately understood.

Despite Lore’l’s comments about the alleged low record sales, the album debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 13. It features songs with Syd, Jessie Reyez, and Thundercat. After the interview, the singer says they are no longer doing interviews. It’s apparent Keh is choosing peace and their own mental well-being over drama.

Boosie Badazz Blames His Twitter Suicide Wishes to Lil Nas X On Russia And Keeps Fighting Gay Agenda, Now Under Random Tweets

Lil Boosie allegedly wished Lil Nas X suicide on his Twitter account. He blames his off-color homophobic rant on Russian hackers. Yet, it still doesn’t stop the rapper from going on more crusades.

Boosie Badazz Blames His Twitter Suicide Wishes to Lil Nas X On Russia And Keeps Fighting Gay Agenda, Now Under Random Tweets
Boosie’s hateful tweet to Lil Nas X

On Twitter, Boosie now claims that Charlamagne Tha God is “EGGING THESE PEOPLE ON [his] SHOW WITH THIS.” Moreover, Charlamane is apparently “USING PLATFORM TO SUPPORT NASxn his ANTICS.”

Boosie also accidentally sent his rant to some random Aux God’s Tweet about the 19th anniversary of Paid in Full instead of Charlamagne. Watch the whole Twitter convo below.

Boosie strikes Charlamagne Tha God

It seems as though Boosie was trying to address the recent Charlamagne interview with TS Madison on Breakfast Club. During the interview, Madison talked about homophobia in the Hip-Hop community. “It’s rampant out there because people’s spaces are being felt like it’s threatened,” Madison said. “Like Boosie, n***a, what is you bothered with Lil Nas X for? You the same man who had a grown woman perform fellatio on your young son.”

Charlamagne responded with the same concerns about queerphobia. “None of them have the right to say Lil Nas X is a detriment to kids,” Charlamane claimed. “If you’ve ever rapped about violence towards people, celebration of drugs using or selling, you don’t…nah, you can’t stand on that moral high ground. Not just for Boosie, that goes for everybody.”

Charlamagne responds to Boosie

On Wednesday, Charlamagne responded to Boosie’s comments on the Breakfast Club spreading gay agenda as well.

“I’m on the side of Blackness, first and foremost, I’m gonna send Boosie healing energy,” he said. “I don’t even know what I got to do with it. … TS Madison had the words for Boosie, not me. … The Breakfast Club, to me, has always been a platform for Black voices, same way Boosie can come up here and express himself, TS Madison can come up here and express herself.”

“Russians” Strike Boosie Badazz

Here is the easy formula of success. If you have no talent and your music doesn’t sell- talk stupid shit on the Internet. If you spoke too much stupid shit on the Internet and got called out for it- blame it on homophobic Russian hackers! Lil Boosie did so with his suicidal tweets.

Boosie’s camp reportedly told that he ‘says crazy thing son social media, but that definitely wasn’t him.” The same insider stated that “Someone is trying to frame him, and make [Boosie] lose his Twitter [account].” The insider also added, “possibly Russians..”

The question of why Russian hackers need to frame the needless man with a rough middle-age crisis and an unhealthy obsession with the LGBTQ+ community remains open.

Boosie Badazz Has Yet Again Something to Say About Lil Nas X Being Gay

Boosie Badazz shared his concerns regarding Lil Nas X being openly gay. The rapper behind “Sexy went on Twitter, where he claimed Lil Nas X “JUST DONT STOP.” Boosie continued, “I THINK HES GOING TO TURN AROUND N SUCK ONE OF HIS BACK GROUND DANCERS DICK ON NATIONAL TV.” Boosie Badazz added “#protectyours” and “#godturninoverinhisgrave” at the end of the tweet.

At first, it was unclear what triggered Boosie to go on another rant. However, fans were able to extrapolate the reasoning in Lil Nas X’s recent photoshoot. In the pictures, Lil Nas X is “pregnant” with his upcoming Montero album.

Lil Nas X later apologized to Boosie. He also left a link with “detailed apologies.” The apologies turned out to be a pre-order of the Montero album.

Later, Lil Nas X said he’s going off social media and explained that it’s terrible for the baby to receive negativity.

Boosie vs. Lil Nas

This is not the first time Boosie Badazz attacks Lil Nas X. At the end of July, Boosie went on a social media rant about Lil Nas X and DaBaby’s Rolling Loud homophobic comments. Boosie defended DaBaby and said that “everybody don’t want their son f****d in the ass.” He also attacked Lil Nas X, called him a “f****t,” and threatened to “beat his ass.”

Boosie then went to Breakfast Club, where he explained his behavior. In an interview, he asked, “How many times you been on set … and you heard somebody say, ‘If you ain’t got AIDS, make noise,’ and the whole club is like, ‘Ahhh’?” It’s a different time, and because he’s one of the biggest. They try to make examples out of people.”

At some point earlier, Lil Nas X had also found his true self, and you can read about it here

Meg Thee Stallion Addresses Homophobia in Hip Hop

Cash Sh*t collaborator, Da Baby, has been under fire recently for his homophobic rant about HIV/AIDS. During his Rolling Loud Miami set on July 25, the rapper brought out Tory Lanez, who has been charged with shooting Meg thee Stallion last summer, before proceeding to go on his homophic rant:

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” he said. “Ladies, if your p—y smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking di– in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

It didn’t take long before fans and celebrities started speaking out against Da Baby

Music industry icons, like Madonna and Elton John, expressed their disgust in Da Baby’s views. The outpour of contempt over Da Baby’s rant has been severe. More than 8 festivals (so far) to pull the 29-year-old rapper from their line ups. Some of them being pop-culture festival traditions, like Lollapalooza, iHeart Radio, and the Governer’s Ball NYC.

Back in June 2020, the “ex-work couple” Meg thee Stallion and Da Baby argued back and forth on Twitter about Da Baby’s involvement with Tory Lanez. Prior to Baby releasing his song “Skat” featuring Lanez, controversy arose. Several fans pointed out a retweeted post by Da Baby that made light of Megan getting shot.

“I guess @DaBabyDaBaby and @torylanez cool now bc they both shot somebody and don’t have to do no jail time,” the tweet read.

Da Baby denied these allegations, claiming the retweet came from a Twitter bug or a hacker.

Without mentioning her foe by name, in her most recent interview with People, Meg the Stallion expressed the need for acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community

“It is about time. Representation is important, and it is really crucial for us all to have compassion and acceptance of every human.”

In June 2019, Meg the Stallion made sure to hold herself accountable when her old homophobic tweets from 2011 and 2012 resurfaced online. The Houston rapper acknowledged she made the insensitive comments back in high school and “obviously meant no harm.” A more mature woman now, she tweeted,

“I’ve already apologized for tweets that obviously do not represent my views now. I don’t do nothing but show love to everyone so just stop.”

Megan talks about her love for the LGBTQ+ community, becoming a college graduate, and learning BitCoin in the full interview with People here.
