NBA YoungBoy Has Words For Kodak Black After Fans Comment

NBA YoungBoy has fired back at Kodak Black after the latter disrespected his fans. Earlier this month, Kodak went on a rant in which he called YoungBoy’s fans “irritating”. Needless to say, the Baton Rouge rapper didn’t appreciate the remark.

NBA YoungBoy took to Instagram on Thursday to offer his response to Kodak’s insult, stating that he won’t tolerate any diss toward his fans. He also claimed that his latest project, The Last Slimeto, will be his last album.

“To be honest I really don’t care about this being my last album,” the “All In” artist wrote. “I finally can say I completed something. I ain’t finish school. I never finish nothing but my smoke…but nah gangster I then shredded tears from the way y’all been doing me but it’s all for the better. Tell [Lil] Dave and my grandma I completed something and I’m doing fine.”

YB then added: “PS, you don’t like my fans, I don’t like your ‘p***y’ #TLS.”

Shortly after the post was uploaded, YoungBoy’s account was removed from Instagram.

Kodak Black’s comments on NBA YoungBoy’s fanbase

On August 5, Kodak Black posted several tweets on his issues with NBA YoungBoy’s fans. Yak’s complaints stemmed from YoungBoy’s fanbase replying to social media posts with “YB Better.”

Bra I like YoungBoy music,” the “Super Gremlin” rapper tweeted. “It’s just this n***a fans homie! Or whoever tf behind all this #YBBetter sh*t. That sh*t be irritating and can’t nobody else say they don’t feel me. A n***a too real, I ain’t hating on no f****n body, I just say what everybody else scared to say.”

After the rant, Kodak announced that he would be deleting Twitter due to being tired of “pu**y a** sh*t.”

YoungBoy’s history with Yak

However, this isn’t the first time the two rappers have exchanged words.

In April of 2020, Kodak accused YB of cooperating with Houston PD after Floyd Mayweather’s daughter (and YoungBoy’s former girlfriend) Iyanna, was arrested for allegedly attacking Lapattra Jacobs, the mother of YB’s child. Eventually, YoungBoy went on Instagram Live to address the allegations. During the live, he also revealed that he already bailed Iyanna out of jail.

“[Kodak] say I cooperated,” YoungBoy said at the time. He then brought Iyanna onto the live. “For what, you stupid b*tch? ‘Bout my wife?! Iyanna, get up. Come here. You talking about this girl right here? You talking about my wife? Inside my house that I pay for? Tell me why this n***a spoke on me from jail. Why the f**k you even watching me from jail? Man, you is a b*tch! This n***a gonna say I cooperated with the police.”

Gucci Mane Tells Rappers To Stop Dissing The Dead On New Song

Gucci Mane is calling for his fellow rappers to stop dissing the dead. On his new song “Dissin’ the Dead,” the Alabama native expresses his regret over popularizing the trend of disrespecting fallen enemies. He also calls for the young generation to follow his lead.

A visual crafted by Omar the Director accompanies the song. In it, Gucci Mane posts up in a cemetery while wearing hoodies commemorating Trouble and Young Dolph. Coincidentally, the track dropped on Wednesday, which would’ve been Dolph’s 37th birthday.

Gucci Mane’s history of dissing the dead

Gucci Mane has done his fair share of dissing the dead, however. During his Verzuz with rival Jeezy, Guwop performed “The Truth”, a diss track aimed at Jeezy’s friend Pookie Loc. Gucci allegedly killed Pookie in self-defense in 2005.

Guwop added insult to injury after the song ended, continuing to disrespect Pooke in front of Jeezy. “Damn! Put that n***a’s a** in the dirt,” he taunted. “Smoking on Pookie Loc tonight.”

Gucci made another reference to Pookie on his “Rumors” collab with Lil Durk in January. “D.A dropped my murder, didn’t have evidence to prove it/I think my house is haunted, yeah, by who? The ghost of Pookie,” La Flare rapped.

However, Gucci Mane refers to Pookie on “Dissin’ the Dead” in a much more respectful manner. “I’m the one put your boy name on a stone/I dissed the dead and I knew it was wrong,” he says.

Dissing the dead in Hip Hop

Disrespecting the dead has become more prevalent in hip hop in recent years. Lil Durk dissed his late rival FBG Duck on the leaked track “High As Duck in December 2020. Meanwhile, NBA Youngboy made references to King Von’s murder on “Bring The Hook” earlier this year.

Recently, Soulja Boy appeared to make fun of Trouble’s passing in an Instagram rant following his murder in June. The pair exchanged words after Soulja released his song “Stretch Some” following Young Dolph’s murder.

Gucci Mane isn’t the only rapper to change his stance on disrespecting the dead. Last year, Lil Durk promised to stop the practice after the deluxe release of The Voice. Florida rapper Julio Foolio followed not long after, calling it “childish.”

Quando Rondo Gets $1 Million From NBA Youngboy

NBA Youngboy gives Quando Rondo $1 million!  NBA Youngboy is fresh off a win in his gun case.  This gift apparently cheered Quando Rondo up as he is in the middle of a breakup with his girlfriend.  I guess he isn’t thinking about her as of right now.

Never Broke Again Takes Chicago

Quando Rondo is on NBA Youngboy’s record label, Never Broke Again.  Quando Rondo is also associated with Atlantic Records since Never Broke Again is under Atlantic.  NBA Youngboy is going on tour and will be stopping in Chicago.  His manager, Alex Junnier, confirmed the Windy City will in fact be the first stop.  We all know this will be something to watch out for as Youngboy and Chicago’s own Lil Durk have an ongoing beef.  Quando Rondo was allegedly involved with the murder of King Von, Lil Durk artist.  A fight broke out involving Von’s crew and Quando Rondo’s crew.  This led to King Von being shot and killed.  Rondo’s friend and fellow rapper, Lul Tim, is being charged with the murder.

Rondo vs. Durk

Lul Tim’s side supports him throughout all this, especially Quando Rondo.  This energy led Lil Durk to make the diss track “AHHH HA”.  Lil Durk threw shots at NBA Youngboy, Rondo, and associates in the song.  At this time, Lil Durk claimed the song to be #1 on YouTube, but that wasn’t the case.  Apparently, fans had to inform him that NBA Youngboy’s song, “I Hate YoungBoy” was actually the #1 song on YouTube.

Then, Quando Rondo took the time to chime in with fans to let Durk know too.  He posted on Instagram a screenshot of how many views “I Hate YoungBoy” received with the caption “Naw fucc n**** this real numbers”.  It’s hard to beat out NBA Youngboy on YouTube as he has been the most viewed artist on there for the past few years.  After releasing “I Hate YoungBoy”, in only 5 hours, it racked up 2 million times.

Last year, in an interview with The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee, Quando Rondo claims rappers don’t like him and NBA Youngboy. To explain, Rondo says it’s because they keep to themselves.  He claims people don’t like that they don’t move with the industry politics.  Apparently, Quando Rondo, NBA Youngboy, and crew are on a different type of time.

C-Murder Dedicates New Music To NBA YoungBoy

C-Murder has dropped new music which he has dedicated to NBA Youngboy. The track, called “Dear YoungBoy,” dropped on July 8. It is an audio adaptation of a letter the New Orleans native wrote to YoungBoy encouraging him to remain positive.

Through the beat, C-Murder shows his empathy for NBA YoungBoy, who has been under house arrest in Utah since being released on bond last October. The young rap star’s trial on federal gun charges began July 13.

A post shared by Corey Miller (@cmurder)

Though the trial is young, it seems YoungBoy has already caught a break. The presiding judge dismissed lyrics from YoungBoy’s music after prosecutors tried to use them to connect him to a pistol discovered during his arrest.

“These lyrics are highly prejudicial as they discuss hardcore rap which has been empirically established to be more negatively received than other genres of music,” the Baton Rouge artist’s legal team argued. The defense also argued that the lyrics offered “very minimal probative value.”

However, YoungBoy still faces years of prison time if convicted. He also has gun and drug charges pending in his home state of Louisiana. Evidence in that case was already dismissed due to being obtained illegally.

How C-Murder relates to NBA YoungBoy

C-Murder has been in prison since 2009, serving a life sentence for his role in the murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas in 2002. But the former No Limit rapper has always maintained his innocence. In 2021, C-Murder claimed that 31 hidden documents showing evidence of a DNA coverup were key to his freedom.

However, the documents weren’t presented at C-Murder’s trial. Through a publicist, the rapper argues that the sealed documents contain evidence of “the corruption that led to his current incarceration. The courts are allegedly fighting to prevent the documents from being released.

“Half my life has been stolen by the Louisiana judicial system and it stops now!” C-Murder said.

You can listen to “Dear YoungBoy ” below.

NBA YoungBoy Lyrics Almost Used Against Him

Some of NBA YoungBoy’s lyrics from several songs were attempted to be used against him in his federal gun case. YoungBoy got arrested on March 22, 2021, after a short vehicle and foot pursuit. Police eventually caught up to him and found YoungBoy in a neighbor’s backyard. Since then Youngboy has been living under strict house arrest rules after being released on bond. The trial began in the Central District of California on Wednesday, July 13, and the rapper scored a victory. The Prosecution attempted to use song lyrics from Kentrell Gaulden, also known as NBA YoungBoy, against him in court.

Rolling Stone stated that lyrics from YoungBoy’s songs “Gunsmoke,” “Life Support” and “Lonely Child” were thrown out of the case. The prosecution attempted to use the lyrics to connect YoungBoy to an FN pistol reportedly found on him during his arrest. Luckily, YoungBoy’s legal team quickly jumped in and argued “Even if Mr. Gaulden is familiar with various models of guns and sings about them, it does not mean that he knew this particular gun was secreted on the passenger floor of the Maybach when police attempted to pull his car over and arrest him.” This is not the first time a rapper’s lyrics have been attempted to be used against them in court.

YoungBoy’s Case and The Connection to Censorship

Recently, we have seen a rise in court cases that attempted to use rap lyrics as evidence. The American Civil Liberties Union reported that courts admitted rap lyrics as evidence in 80% of cases from 2006 to 2013. Most people see rap as music and thus the lyrics as artistic expression. The Hip Hop community has taken these issues as an attempt to censor their voices. Many Hip Hop artists will say that Hip Hop is a lifestyle and not just a genre of music. Rappers like Meek Mill and many others added their signatures to the Rap Music on Trial Bill. The bill is designed to prevent rap lyrics from being used as hard evidence in court.

NBA YoungBoy Escapes RICO Charges Faces Up To 10 Years

NBA YoungBoy was arrested Monday night after hitting the dash on LAPD. The 21-year-old Baton Rouge rapper had a federal warrant out for his arrest. When LAPD attempted to pursue YoungBoy in a vehicle, the driver allegedly initiated a short chase ending with YoungBoy fleeing on foot. A K-9 unit was deployed, ending with YoungBoy in federal custody.

The alleged warrant was tied to the arrest of NBA YoungBoy six months ago. When he was arrested in September, he allegedly was caught with a .45 pistol and a 9mm handgun. Because he is a felon, he is not allowed to have firearms in his possession. During the arrest, it is reported over a dozen firearms were seized with some cash. NBA YoungBoy was allegedly charged with one count of illegal possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of an unregistered weapon.

A lawyer close to the case took to social media to give an update about NBA YoungBoy.

“Got the update on YoungBoy. He’s facing a federal charge for felon possession of a firearm. Carries with it a sentence of between five and ten years,” said the lawyer.

“He didn’t get hit with the RICO charge. This, however, is a severe charge. He has priors, also, when they tried to arrest him, he ran, and they found a gun in the car he ran from.”

The lawyer said jail time might be non-negotiable because of his priors, the fact that he ran, and the fact he had an illegal firearm in the vehicle he fled from.

NBA Youngboy Arrested in LA

Louisiana by far is the most underrated state in terms of music. When it comes to food and events, Louisiana reigns supreme. Mardi Gras and the Bayou classic are two events that draw a big crowd every year. And also Essence Fest. Nevertheless, Louisiana music is ‘eh.’ First off, I am not talking down on Louisiana music because I grew up in Louisiana. I am referring to the lack of support Louisiana music receives. Jazz and Blues, on the other hand, are different. You can not bring up Louisiana without Jazz and Blues and vice versa. Hip Hop on the other, ‘eh.’

Now I might come off as being biased because I’m from there. But if you grew up in the Bossie and Webbie era, you would be too. That’s why it’s very disappointing to hear what happened to NBA Youngboy. The 21-year-old rapper was arrested yesterday after reportedly fleeing from LAPD officers from a traffic stop and outstanding warrant. The arrest involves even the LAPD using a K-9 unit to track him down. Reportedly there was a firearm found in the vehicle. But it’s unclear whether if it’s the rapper or not.

For Kentrell Gaulden (NBA Youngboy), this isn’t the first time being in trouble with the law. The rapper has a long history with law enforcement. It can even go back before he officially started being a rapper. I was rooting for Gaulden. Despite people criticizing his music, which I did in the very beginning. He grew on to me. Seeing his rise from being local to being known internationally is unbelievable. Amongst many previous Louisiana rappers, he was the newest edition to add to the recognition Louisiana deserves. And push Louisiana rap into the forefront. Sadly, too bad his talent can’t overshadow his stint with the law.
