Offset Is Actively Trying To Work With Andre 3000

Andre 3000 is someone Offset would be very eager to work with, according to an interview the former Migos star gave Speedy Morman for GOAT Talk. He’s even sent Andre 3 different songs to collaborate on but also understands the former Outkast legend’s selectivity. Offset expressed, “I know you gotta like certain songs — he get on certain songs, he told me. So you gotta be selective with him, but I love his taste.” With that being said, fans would love to hear a collaboration as both rappers were key parts of the biggest rap groups since the 2000s.

Andre’s Role In Hip-Hop These Days

While it would be exciting for these two to work together, the chances are slimmer than one would hope. Offset is completely ready & wants to, but Andre 3000 is more invested in his endeavors right now. The Atlanta legend barely ever makes guest appearances & is one of few rappers to retire from the genre themselves. Older acts often phase out or fall off, but Andre chose to remove himself. Recently though, he did participate in narrating a Superbowl commercial for Squarespace earlier this year with Zendaya.

Offset’s Solo Career & Other Dream Collaborations

With his departure from the Migos, Offset is working hard & focused on developing his solo career these days. A new album is on the horizon & we’ve already seen him drop a few singles within the past few weeks. In the same video, Offset also says that he wants to work with tons of active veterans & legends today. In his own words, “I just want to work with people that inspire me. Hopefully I can work with Kendrick on his album. I’d love to work with Lil’ Baby, Tyler and JAY-Z. I respect them all.” Who do you wanna hear Offset do a song with on his album?

A 41-Years-Young Beyoncé Partied With Stars at Her Themed Birthday Bash

Beyoncé has made it through another year of life. At the beginning of September, Queen B turned the young age of 41. Her birthday was officially the day before Labor Day. This clash caused the icon to push her birthday celebration to the following weekend. Even with this conflict, Beyoncé still managed to pull big-name celebrities to her party.

A West Hollywood Party

Celebrities flocked to Bel Air, where Beyoncé hosted birthday number 41. A Bel Air mansion was the location chosen by the birthday woman. HotNewHipHop reported that guests started arriving around 10:30 at night. The party lasted until three o’clock in the morning.

Who Pulled Up On Beyoncé For Her 41?

Beyoncé knows how to pull a crowd. Bella Hadid, Lizzo, Jaden Smith, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Rich Paul & Adele, and Zendaya all showed up for the Superstar.

Of course, Jay Z showed up to support his phenomenal wife on birthday 41. TMZ snapped a picture of the rapper looking suave.

Big Names

The Kardashians showed up to party with the 41 year-young Beyoncé. Khloe Kardashian wore a silver top and skirt that shinned bright any time the light hit it. Kim Kardashian wore a red and black stripped, tight-fitted body suit. Kim’s blonde hair flowed down her back.

Kris Jenner also made an appearance at the party. She showed off her legs with a thigh-high dress. Her high heels glowed like diamonds as the paparazzi flashed their cameras.

Offset didn’t miss his chance to party with Beyoncé at 41. The member of the Migos let his outfit be inspired by Michael Jackson. His outfit looked very similar to the outfit MJ wore to the 1984 Grammy Awards. Offset matched Michael from his feet to his head.

Drake also made his appearance for the queen for birthday number 41. Drizzy showed up wearing an all red matching top and bottom set. The outfit looks extremely comfortable for a night of partying. In true Drake fashion, the outfit came without a undershirt.

“It’s a blessing to be able to have them all together, and to have a wife who’s open and treats them as if they’re her kids,” the “Clout” artist said. “It could be an issue, but I don’t have to go through that and that’s beautiful.”

Cardi offered her own insight on the family’s dynamic.

“I feel like sometimes people who go into a relationship with a man or a woman who has kids with negativity- and I feel like people should embrace it and love it,” the 29-year old stated. “I love our family and I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Offset Claims Quality Control Founder Blackballled Him After New Lawsuit

The battle between former Migos member Offset & their record label Quality Control exposes behind-the-scenes drama. After filing a lawsuit against Quality Control, Offset claims that label owner P is blackballing the successful Georgia rapper. P’s response referenced a similar case that Offset & the Migos filed years ago. “The last lawsuit…filed publicly and dismissed quietly,” the label executive tweeted before expressing even more frustration with Offset.

Offset responded online with, “”N***as act like Im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back. N***a you blackballed me I ain’t said shit one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?” All of this drama taking place on Twitter is coming right after Offset dropped his first single since the split, “54321:”

The Initial Lawsuit That Caused Friction

While Quavo & Takeoff are still members of QC, as a newly reshaped group, Offset looks to continue solo under Motown Records without his former label. The lawsuit Offset filed resulted from his new Baby Keem-produced single “54321” mistakenly labeled as a Quality Control release. The former Migos star reportedly bought his rights as a solo artist from the label already & feels the mistake was intentional. With Offset releasing his 2nd single since leaving the group tonight, Aug 26, you can easily understand his point-of-view.

Offset’s Solo Career Moving Forward

Although it’s sad to see this saga ending, Offset still has a bright future. “54321” is a success for both Offset & Baby Keem, with the song’s video already amassing almost 3 million. Additionally, he’s getting ready to drop a new single called “Code” with Moneybagg Yo at midnight tonight. Moneybagg & Offset recently also joined forces with Trippie Redd on the song “Big 14” earlier this month. With Offset likely getting ready to drop a whole project, are you waiting for solo Offset music?

Lady Leshurr Wants Money From Cardi B Over Old Song

Cardi B is one of the most successful artists out right now & came up in the industry through mixtapes early on. Like many other rappers before her & now, she would rap over other artists’ beats in these early projects. Lady Leshurr wants credit & compensation over Cardi’s early song Cheap Ass Weave which uses the beat from Leshurr’s song Queen’s Speech Ep. 4. “You mind asking Cardi if she can break me off a likkle change she used my beat/idea before her big break and is now a millionaire and I got paid 0,” said Leshurr on her Twitter page yesterday (August 2nd).

The Rest Of Their Exchange On Twitter

After Lady Leshurr made her initial tweet, Cardi B responded confused by Leshurr’s claims. She expressed on her Twitter account in response to Leshurr comically stating, “I made like 2 dollars of that song ….you want the other dollar?” Of course, things didn’t just end there as Lady explains she mainly just wants her credit. Interestingly, she also revealed that she tried contacting Cardi about it years ago through direct messaging. Leshurr ends off with, “I was cool wen I thought it was just YT cover but it’s on streaming sites as ‘cheap azz weave’ nw & urs comes up b4 mine so yes dollar & credit pls.”

Who’s Side Are You On? Cardi B Or Lady Leshurr

Regardless of whose argument you align with, both songs were undeniably impactful in their careers. Lady Leshurr’s Queen’s Speech Ep. 4 currently sits on Youtube with over 60 million views. Meanwhile, Cardi B’s fan base acknowledges Cheap Ass Weave as one of her first early songs that helped boost her career into what it is now. It’s a shame when business & the industry has to interfere with great art from talented musicians. Do you think Lady Leshurr should’ve called out Cardi B? Additionally, do you believe Cardi B should’ve at least given Leshurr credit for remixing her song? Read more of FM Hip-Hop’s featured articles today.

Cardi B Said “I NEVER F*CKED A BROKE N*GGA AGAIN” After Catching Ex-Boyfriend Steal $20K During Stripper Days

It’s no secret rapper Cardi B has lived a crazy life. From dancing on the pole to hitting the stage, Cardi has definitely experienced some insane moments through her journey. The Bronx rapper reveals she once had $20,000 stolen from her while she wasn’t home.

cardi b
Cardi B during her days as a stripper.

According to HipHop DX, the 29-year-old rap artist sat down with Angela Yee on the last episode of the Lip Service podcast where she discussed a robbery that left her traumatized. She tells Yee she came home one day and all her money was gone.

A disturbing moment in the interview.

The W.A.P. artist stated she used to say, ‘I’m 20 years old and I got $20,000. And that just always made me hyped up ’cause I worked hard for it.” Cardi told the girls on Lip Service she shook her a** real hard for it and then came home one day with only $1000 left in her stash. She said, “I’m counting the money and everything, I’m about to put it in my stash and I’ve got like $1,000.” The rapper admitted she was going insane calling him as he went a whole day ignoring her. “I’m traumatized. This n*gga gave me back like $4,000, talking about, ‘The weed, I got the package…’ It traumatized me. I can’t. See, I’m almost getting shaky.”

Cardi tells Lip Service she worked for her $20k before any surgeries and that was the breaking point of their relationship.

The “Hot Sh*t” rapper admits she got her a** done when she was about 21. She says she always had big breasts, but she was so skinny so she had to work extra hard as a dancer to make her money. After questioning her ex about taking off to California for some weed, she claims he said he was not getting an ounce he was getting pounds. She continued to express that she felt she had to get rid of him. She did not want to risk more money stolen. “I used to pray to God like, ‘God, please let me stop now, I just don’t wanna like this n*gga anymore. Like, let me move on.”

Cardi B Teases Mixtape and Album on The Angie Martinez Show

Cardi B spilled and Angie Martinez sipped on a radio interview with the two New York natives. Find out what to expect from Cardi in 2022.

Hot Shit’ by Cardi B featuring Lil Durk and Kanye West is fresh on the music scene.. This kicks off a long series of promo for the Bronx MC. Cardi’s last album Invasion of Privacy saw career-changing success with all 13 tracks going platinum and 2022 being its fourth consecutive year on the Billboard Top 200. Now that so much time has passed and tons more female rappers have entered the game, all eyes are on Cardi to follow up her magnum opus.

Cardi coming back

The ‘Up’ rapper gave Angie some hints on her upcoming album and some additional projects. The 40-minute interview touched on both the music and the personal.

Angie and Cardi began with discussing her latest single ‘Hot Shit’. Surprisingly, Cardi revealed that dropping new music still makes her nervous. “I just get emotional, I start tearing out of nowhere…I’m scared!” She exclaimed jokingly. Cardi is known for taking long gaps in between projects. Aside from ‘Shake It’ featuring Kay Flock, Cardi hasn’t dropped a single since ‘Up’ over a year ago.

“I should just stop waiting so long to drop records, so when I drop again I won’t be as nervous,” she pondered.

Putting new music off is a habit the 29-year-old shares with her husband Offset. It’s been over three years since his solo album Father of 4. Perhaps that’s why he’s so good at managing his spouse’s nerves.

“I just keep thinking who can I put in this song cause I just feel like this beat is not for everybody” Cardi expounded on her newest song. In one interesting observation, she took note of the repetitiveness of male rap features.

“I don’t feel like there’s a lot of male artists right now(…) I feel like I keep hearing the same male artists…seriously.”

Well, it goes without saying, Durk and Kanye are certainly an unexpected combo. The two Chicago rappers worked together on an introspective Donda last year, but never on a rough beat a la ‘Hot Shit’. Produced by Tay Keith and BanBwoi, This marks Cardi’s first-ever track with both artists. She’s proudly showing she’s not afraid to take risks this album rollout.

Where is the song of the summer?

Fans wondering about a music video for ‘Hot Shit’ can keep calm. Cardi confirmed visuals are on the way. Following in line with the features, Cardi decided to step out of her comfort zone with the video. “I did something that I never did before, and that I’m always against,” she began. “CGI. I’m really against that, I never really did it, never really liked it. But I was like you know what lemme try something different.” According to Cardi, the video was filmed back in spring. However, the CGI animation is incomplete with no official release date in sight.

Another project still without an official drop date is Cardi’s sophomore album. The follow-up to Invasion of Privacy has been teased for years by the former LHH star. While clues have been extremely limited, Cardi did confirm during an appearance on Playboy’s Centerfold platform that both ‘Up’ and ‘WAP’ will make the tracklist. There always seems to be a reason for Cardi not to release her album, but her biggest setback at the moment is a lack of inspiration.

“Right now I’m so disconnected with the music. It’s like, I go to the strip club and my money is still here. Because I don’t even wanna throw money to the song that’s playing right now, cause everything sounds so slow, nothing is hyping me up.” Cardi explained to Angie. This is a sentiment largely shared by music fans on social media . Particularly, the lack of a “song of the summer” has been noted by both the public and the Bronx rapper.

https://twitter.com/voltaire_baby/status/1542722273324388352?s=21&t=N6lGyaQ8EahI-RMkL_ejzA

https://twitter.com/oppmoataz/status/1541701649462353921?s=21&t=N6lGyaQ8EahI-RMkL_ejzA

The rappers vs the fans

A part of this issue is the internet, at least that’s what Cardi believes. A key portion of this interview was a perspective Cardi offered on how internet culture impacts the success of a song. Instead of hearing a track and forming an opinion for themselves, social media users often rely on the first impressions of others for song reviews. This leads to many potential listeners being turned off before they’ve ever given a song a chance.

This trend could be seen recently with Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind. Upon its release, it was quickly dubbed as a “bad album” on the basis of its unusual house beats and vocals. Obviously, it’s fine not to like an artist’s work. But how many Twitter users do you think heard all 14 tracks before disliking it the same morning it dropped?

“People are not giving things a chance. How people was judging fucking drake album, that shit was out for two minutes!!”

Truly, the listening public is making up its mind faster and harsher than ever. It’s no coincidence the Billboard charts are currently so stagnant, with quarantine-era tracks like ‘Levitating’ and ‘Stay’  still hanging on to the top 20. This makes for a difficult time to land a hit song, and Cardi recognizes that.

A businesswoman in and out the home

A sophomore album isn’t the only thing Bardi Gang has to be excited about. “After I do this album, I want to do a mixtape with my husband.” Cardi revealed. Offset and Cardi B have rapped together several times. once on 2019’s ‘Clout’, and before then on Quality Control: Control the Streets Vol 1. Even before Cardi’s time in the mainstream spotlight, the couple worked together on Gangsta Bitch Music Vol 2. Aside from their personal connection, it’s clear why Cardi gravitates to her husband musically.

The focus then shifted to Cardi’s business ventures, of which there are many. From alcoholic whip cream to Reeboks, to Playboy, this rapper wears many hats. As creative director of Playboy, the ‘Like It’ artist has input on the aesthetic and content of the magazine. Tons of celebs take secondary roles in companies just for the bragging rights or extra points on their resume, but Cardi has shown some real passion and even realer results. Since making her creative director, Playboy has seen a revenue increase of 63% with a total growth of  $69.4 million. Evidently, this job position is permanent.

A post shared by Playboy (@playboy)

While discussing her affairs with Playboy, the wife and mother teased a brand new platform for the company. Centerfold is meant to serve as a competitor to OnlyFans. During the Covid-19 quarantine, OnlyFans blew up as a vessel for models, singers, rappers, and sex workers alike to make easy money providing exclusive content. Not much info was given on Centerfold but it is confirmed Jordyn Woods will serve as an ambassador.

Paying it forward

Cardi topped the interview off with a segment focusing on fellow New Yorker and female rap pioneer Lil Kim. As Angie and Cardi spoke on celebs they believe get too much hate, Lil Kim’s name popped up. Immediately, Cardi showed respect. “I really want to put her on a song on my album and I can’t wait” Cardi divulged. “She has done it all. She’s really done it all” in a compelling moment, Cardi tied this topic back to her comments earlier on the internet’s influence on the music industry. In recent years, Lil Kim has been the victim of mass online bullying mainly concerning her appearance. Although rap fans still maintain a level of respect for the Brooklyn legend, her rep amongst younger listeners has been damaged by memes and petty jokes.

“Cause you wasn’t there. You just don’t understand the certain impacts and certain shit.”

As far as future plans go, it’s more of the same for Cardi B. She’ll be making her rounds this festival season, performing for her fans, and getting back into the swing of things. Following the birth of her son Wave and the COVID concert restrictions lifting, Cardi’s plate is about to be extremely full. But judging from this jam-packed interview, this Bronx girl is used to being busy.

https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1541224116245635073

https://twitter.com/iamcardib/status/1541572302030180354

Cardi Express’s her disappointment with “Hot Sh*t’s” upcoming release as her team is not cooperating.

Cardi B took to Instagram Live to express her disappointment with her new collab featuring West, and Durk. She says “I am so overwhelmed and I’m so upset, a lot of people have been dropping the ball for the past two months. There has been a lot of communication and not enough communication.” She continues to tell us how the song is quite different from her previous songs. “It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before,” I feel like people is expecting a lot of sl*tness.” She adds that many people compare her songs to TikTok hits saying the song is definitely not that. However it will be more masculine and great for the club.

According to Billboard, Cardi has not put out any music of her own since 2021’s “Up,” which hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart in March that year. “Up” which followed “W.A.P,” stayed number 1 on the charts for 1 consecutive week in 2021. “W.A.P.” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, however, spent four weeks topping the Hot 100 in 2020. “Hot Sh*t” will be Cardi’s first single in a while and fans seem to be excited for the new collab.

Ye show’s love and excitement to be working with Cardi.

Back in January, Kanye revealed he had finished a verse for the the South Bronx rapper, however, he did not reveal too much details. In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Ye refers to Cardi telling Jason Lee, “My cousins was saying ‘Come by here’ yesterday but I was finishing, I was finishing that verse for your girl, you know what I mean?” He continues to say, “I always believed in her since she was on Love & Hip-Hop, period.”
